Hi - I got this on a previous giveaway. I am very happy with it.

Installed and activated -- apparently successfully -- albeit with one curious issue. Immediately following installation, I got a warning message: "No supportable hardware found on this computer." That is certainly news to me: I have **many** video-related programs on this computer that I regularly use without any problem, such as ImgBurn, AVStoDVD, MakeMKV, etc. etc. They don't seem to have any issues doing what they do, by way of utilizing the existing hardware. Perhaps Digiarty can enlighten me ?

Installed fine and activated on Windows 10.
Couple of issues. There is no option to just copy the audio. Highest bitrate I see is 160kbps.
I encoded a 20 min h264 video. the file size of the original video is 965mb. i used the default, crf 22 and the output video was 914mb. How is that possible? In Handbrake, used their CQ at the same 22, rest of the settings the same as as VideoProc and the output video was 138mb.
Handbrake, Staxrip, Shutter, hybrid are all better options than VideoProc.

I would appreciate feedback on how well it downloads YouTube videos

VideoProc is an excellent video download software. I have used many past versions of it.
Thanks to GOTD for continuing to giveaway new updated versions from time to time.
It has a handy easy to use video editor too, for basic cut & paste of video sections.

Glad to hear others find it functions well while my several tests had mostly fails. Even tho followed tutorials on their website still had issues. Decided to uninstall after main feature wanted to speed or slow video did not even show anywhere in the app tho per tutorial found in Rotate window yet no such. Other fails included faulty webcam recording, faulty screen recording, inability to load more than one yutube video to download unless entire playlist, problematic dvd ripping. So..Uninstall.

I had VideoProc 3.5 installed -- I had to delete the C:\Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Roaming\ VideoProc folder before v. 3.9 would activate.
Importing a .m2ts file [AVC encoded Blu-ray video] into VideoProc, selected H.264 encoding, then clicked the star on the H.264 icon/thumbnail to get to the encoding settings. Then clicked the Tools tab on the bottom, clicking Trim, and selecting a ~5 minute clip. The CPU = Ryzen 2700, NVMe drive for output file, AMD RX470 GPU. At default settings, 1080p frame size, AMD hardware assist selected, got around 112 fps encoding -- without hardware assist got ~124 fps. Per MediaInfo the encoded files were pretty standard -- a few converters skip some of the post processing options to give a faster encode at the cost of quality.
I did however have a hard time setting the encoder to variable bit rate [VBR], which in VideoProc is called ABR [Average Bit Rate]. With hardware assist on, it reset itself to Constant Bit Rate [CBR]. Trimming the video reset it to CBR -- re-setting ABR disabled the trim, so the entire video would be encoded. VBR/ABR uses a lower bit rate for "quiet" scenes, with a higher bit rate during action where it's needed. VBR has been pretty standard since DVDs came out, giving max quality for minimum file size.
Starting up VideoProc was also annoying, since you have to wait for the ad to pop up for upgrades, and that apparently requires the app to contact the home base servers, which today sometimes took quite a while.
As with most of these ffmpeg-based converters, VideoProc is self contained -- it doesn't install Direct Show filters or anything -- with few registry entries, and files in just 3 folders: the program's folder, and 2 in C:\Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Roaming\.

I keep getting 222 error message. Tried registration multiple times. What does this mean?

solved the problem . thank you for this offer.

Installed and registered with no problems. Has anyone else tried the downloader? I tried downloading 20 different videos from various sites and all but one gave "analyse failed" except one and it downloaded and then failed. All the sites used stream the videos without any problems and other downloaders work, just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience or found a work around.

This is a nice program and I use it a lot. I got it last year from GAotD. I primarily use it to download links that I cannot otherwise download. This program is much better at that than other giveaways I've tried.
My one complaint about this program is the constant advertising. EVERY time I execute this program, I cannot use it until it calls home and brings up an ad for a lifetime license. This can sometimes take quite a bit of time. It's extremely annoying. Is a program really free if I have to go through that?

Finally realized Chrome was the problem when downloading. I hate Edge! But I got it to work. Will this download on a seperate Hard drive? I'd like to keep it in case of getting a different computer?

I ended up buying the full license some time back and have never regretted it. This is one of the few programs that I use all the time. Love it!

ad id, I'm sorry, my mistake. code OK now.
**My suggestions:
1- Set FPS default to: Keep original
2- Audio sample rate default to: Keep original
3- No De-interlace setting ??? that is realy bad!
Save | Cancel
OK, my 2nd mistake, I found Deinterlace not in the codecs setting but a box below the preview.
-- You can edit the defaults by modify the json profiles here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Digiarty\VideoProc\profile
** .mts file to HEVC mp4 was done at X7 time with 25% GPU load.

ad id, Like myself, and I see you resolved your issue but for others, use the Correct key as they include both Win and MAC keys in same file!

ad id, Windows error code 222 can be shortened in only two words: driver problem. It is unknown device code. This error code 222 is an explicit to the windows device manger and is a clear indicator that there are errors with the driver to the wrong device.

It did a fine job converting a bunch of MKV videos with embedded subtitles to H264/AAC MP4's, much faster than any of the other converter tools I've used.
One minor complaint: if you're converting a video with embedded subtitles you have to hit the "Subtitles" button (after you've added the video to the conversion queue, it's the rightmost button on the block that represents that video). It'll bring up a screen where you can check the "embedded" box, otherwise the embedded subs will be dropped and not appear in the output file.
DEFINTELY a keeper, it produced good quality video and it's FAST.

VideoProc is a basic software converter and even more so for editing, that lives in a sea of basic converters. If your looking for more advance editing, you need to look beyond this one. The two that come to mind are the free version VSDC Video Editor and not free Sony Vegas, but Vegas will also cost you ten times as much over the VideoProc offered here.
There a lot of pluses to this program. The big stand out is it's speed. It's one of the best at converting videos fast. User interface is easy to figure out, along with finding the settings and configuring everything. I converted a old 240 resolution video to 1080 and even removed some of the noise that was in it. Like I said, in a sea of converters, this one is among the top contenders. For that reason, I'm keeping it to use at those times I need to do something quickly! Thanks to GOTD and VideoProc for the offering

Jim C, I believe it's a front-end for FFMPEG (which I think strictly they aren't allowed to bundle), so theoretically has a lot of capabilities, but I think can't access most of what FFMPEG can do. For a free editor Resolve is the best out there, but the learning curve is pretty large.

Thanks GOTD, I can upgrade my VideoProc to the Version 3.9 =)
I firstly downloaded it on my laptop from the previous giveaway, and the recording feature is actually great to use, it not only allows you to record webcam & screen contents, it also supports recording live-streaming YouTube videos, which help me to collect some video footage I might miss before.
But it still cannot download TikTok videos, otherwise I would already be a paying customer.

We own an older Sony a33 camera that records at 1080i. It can record RAW footage, and has these i/o connectors: USB miniB, HDMI, HDMI type C minijack. I discover all the MP4’s I’ve been making are jittery until I met VideoProc in the previous giveaway. It convert to 1080 progressive or even 4K very good. Nice the see the new giveaway. The hardware accelerated processing algorithm to edit and convert video is much faster.

Tried 3 times to get it to take the activation code, just kept giving me "error 222" and bugging me to buy the full version. Uninstalled.

kevin bennett, Did you enter the key that began DB? Try the code that begins with DA. I tried this before activating, and the error would indicate you used the wrong code.

This is actually a very nice application Fairly user-friendly, nice-looking interface, converts from and to a good number of file and device, types, and even converts to gif and does a fairly good job editing, as it says, such as cutting, trimming, cropping, etc..
It does have a minor nag at start-up.
It's a keeper for me and I have used it for months.
