I went to https://bytescout.com/products/pdfmultitool/index-business.html and manually downloaded the software. I disabled AVAST and ran the exe and it installed fine. I used the reg key from the read me and it looks like it registered OK. I have not yet tested the software.

Same issue as others. Win 10, turned off Avast, all 3 files in directory, ran setup and received GOTD message saying registered but software is nowhere on machine. Tried three times; zero success.

vas, and others with Win 10 - You need to disable virus checker Avast, Bitdefender etc then install and wait until you see program install instructions (possibly also needs Admin control - UAC) - then once installed look for Registration at the top and put in key in Readme file... Good luck.

This seems a very comprehensive package that converts pdf to Excel very well indeed and has OCR built in.
Converted a 45 page pdf financial report perfectly and I didn't notice any errors.
Installed fine on Win10 machine. Thanks GOTD

The program (PDF Multitool for Business 8.6) will not install on my windows 10 PC. I have been having this issue with many GAOTD programs lately. It appears to install it even says that the program installed successfully, however the program and other recent programs do not install on the PC. I notice that others are having similar issues, does anyone have any suggestions?

This is probably caused by your antivirus program, or your firewall, or both. Some users suggest to disable your antivirus and/or the firewall for a few minutes before starting an installation, and then immediately re-enable them.

Paul Rosenfeld, It was the same with me (Win 10 64). Disabling antivirus for a short time (5-10 minutes) resolved the issue. It also happens especially with programs from GAOTD. With AVG antivirus, for example, disabling software analyzer component is enough.

I tried to respond to you 14 minutes after you posted your message, but for some reason it did not find its way to this board.
So, I am going to try again.
The problem you are experiencing is most likely being caused by your antivirus program or/and your firewall.
This can be overcome by disabling your antivirus for a few minutes and installing the giveaway then. Just remember to re-enable your AV as soon as your installation is finished.
I am not recommending this solution, but just stating how some people go about solving this issue.

Convert PDF to MS-Word.

I installed it on Windows 7. It looks pretty nice. But ... unwrap lines doesn't work. In fact just using a PDF viewer, selecting all the text and pasting it into Word seems easier to use than this. This looks to be lightly tested and probably contains a lot of bugs. For instance, one file said it was protected but I could set some option, which I couldn't find. Later it opened it anyway. It might be good for table extraction.

the program that is installing is ByteScout PDF Multitool (according to the guide) not PDF Multitool for Business 8.6 I have had problems installing programs also and did with this one. Microsoft does not allow and it might be that the names are not the same. I unziped with Avast turned on then turned off to install and it went right thru without me inserting the GOTD key. The names of the programs offered should be the same as the one installed.

that number 4 comment seems to be common now for the gotd, you install it and it show it has been activated but you won't find it on your pc, try install as admin nothing, disable all antiviruses but no changes, please giveaway team try working on this error, it really discourages. I lost 1AVImageConverter10 in this way, and I really needed it for trial but the same thing happened.

About 14 hours later, I've discovered that in my Pc there were not only kaspersky antivirus which I know I installed, but there were also other antiviruses, avast which I actually didn't know it is in my pc as I've never put it in my pc, probably was auto installed during other program installation, there were also Iobit Malware fighter, What I did was to disable all these and reinstall the software, and it installed very well and I activated it simply, now I've got a one year licence of the software, thank you GOTD.

Tried this program to view and export technical drawings created in AutoDesk Inventor and saved to PDF. Line drawings displayed ok but solids did not. Also, PDF text fields did not render properly.
Export as vector to emf was partially successful. Again, lines exported ok but solids not. Curves became countless small segments rather than arcs, but that might have to do with the source file as Inkscape gives similar results.
I doubt I'll find this program helpful very often but will keep for the time being.

In order to install it I had to disable my anti-virus (Avast!). It installed quickly. I tried it on a scanned PDF. It converted it to text well, though there were many errors.

Will NOT install in Win 10 HP. Tried 3 x without success. Does not show in the Task Manager at all, and turning off antivirus and running as administrator does not help. Big fail, I'm afraid.

Weird. Was having problems downloading Clipà.Vu 4.1.1609 at first. I tried using a different browser, but the GOTD was PDF Multitool for Business 8.6. 2 different GOTDs on different browsers. (Chrome and Pale Moon)
