This seems to be completely broken software as it is difficult to activate. The message reads...
"Activation Module Missing. Please RE-Install Excel URL Validator"

This software doesn't even recognise my main email address. I had to use an old one which is about close down very shortly

Not sure what the problem is with this software, it fails to activate stating the activation application doesnt work. Please re-install ExcellURLValidator. Another popup comes up You need to have Administrator privileges to install this software, which I already have
This software needs to back the developers to be un-assembled, then written properly so that it will properly install and then can be activated without any issues, then we can all hopefully then enjoy usung this software. But until then.....

No files are shown in Network folders that do contain xls files

Using Windows 7 downloaded, installed and activated without any problems. However, I find that there is no way to get the program to accept xls files. It seems to accept only the xlsx format - or am I missing something here? It's not as simple as resaving the xls file as xlsx because you can't do that with the xls file being a macro-free file.

Colin, you can see all xls files by typing *.xls (and pressing Enter obviously) in the Filename box of the Open file dialog. But this should not be needed. It is clearly a bug
