After reading all comments, I find so many persons are confused of no registration info. Actually you don't need email and reg number to remove the watermark on your created works. Once you download and unzip the file, you will see two EXE files, one is Setup.exe and the other is Activate.exe. You should double click Setup.exe to complete the installation and then start the Activate.exe to activate the program. When you restart the program, there are no email and reg number asked for again.
I'm not sure why many people give thumbs down on good software. Is there a conspiracy among competitions? I have used the program. It's really good for us to assemble holiday photos, video clips and music to a great photo slideshow for keeping our special memories and sharing with loved persons any where and any time. Download and have a try, believe your own insight!

I am continually amazed at the number of people who do not read the readme.txt file in order to register the programs properly. Files must be opened in the correct order.

Okay Giveaway, you really need to fix the inability to register or yank this off. I'd hoped that an install and reboot would fix it, just tried again for the last and final time and found that it puts a banner across the screen. I agree with Eric, we don't need you to provide stuff we can get anywhere else!

As far as I'm concerned, this IS a software problem.

I have a real problem with you all offering software, but no registration info.
Look, I can go to any of these companies' sites and download trial versions.
If you don't include the registration info, you effectively make GAOTD irrelevant.

Wondershare is splitting up there products and solutions to sell as (many titles) much as possible (as does Cucusoft). You might not like that, (some product are almost the same) but this doesn't make there products bad. It's just there commercial approach.

I will pass on this program as I do not have an ipod. My son does have an ipod and I considered downloading and using it for his benifit. However he told me he tried it and did not like it. I have some Wondershare programs from this page. For the most part their programs are pretty well writen and work well. Despite what my son told me I would suggest users that have an ipod to give this program a try. There are enough positive comments to warrant a try. To stray away from the subject at hand I would like to make a few comments. I am looking forward to the upcoming games for this weekend. The current pattern has been the first day offering of a Realore Studio repeat. I don't mind this too much. Realore Studio offers some great games. It gives us a chance to get games we may have missed the first time. But the second day has be some rubbish from the publisher Some Games. If this publisher was cool why don't they have a web site? All links lead back to the GAOTD site. Please spare us the Some games offering. I think most users would prefer any other publisher. That is just my opinion. Feel free to disagree and comment.

#22 I am having the SAME PROBLEM AGAIN
I have downloaded it and reinstalled it and clicked the activate button 4 times and it is still asking for an email and registration code.
I get so bummed out and pissed off when I take the time and TRY and install these things to try because I DO BUY software that I LIKE, but when you can't even try it out,
like MUVEENOW
which I would have LOVED to try more than once, I wrote and wrote to the muvee site and they won't even bother to answer me.
It takes time, use and sometimes abuse of us and our computers and time when the thing won't even install right so you can try it out.

TOTALLY BUMMED OUT AGAIN

Your endproduct will be a .mp4-file (same video-format those digital photocameras use).
The MP4-result can be used in everyway you like (on an iPod, but also on your PC etc.)
On a big screen you will lose a lot of sharpness but on little screens it is OK.
This is realy nice to take your holydaypictures with you on your cellphone.
Some cellphones do not use MP4 but 3GP.
You can convert with a free utillity called SUPER: http://www.erightsoft.com/home.html

If you don’t need it, just leave it, but that doesn’t make it a bad produkt. If you like it, just try, you can today and you can uninstall whenever you like. Many will like this I think though I have no use for it myself. But I did install and try and it really works fine.

It is free and works well, but I profer this all-in-one Software, it has so many functions you can use:

# Support convert DVDs/Video to any audio format including AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA, etc.
# Support convert DVDs/Video to any video format including H264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg1, mpeg2, VideoCD, SuperVideoCD, DVD, etc.
# Support convert DVDs/Video to any (portable) device including iPod, Zune, PSP, iPhone, Apple TV, PPC, PDA, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, etc.

Beside the maker having dodgy sites, There's a few reasons to steer clear of this.

Returning from a short vacation I had ofcourse to visit GAotD again.
Wondershare has several products and also offered in the past to GAotD. Despite all the negative comments, there is really nothing wrong with there products and you can safely trust them.
Not everyone will have use for this product, but if you have, it is really working nicely. It's not just for iPods, though the name is suggesting such.

With this product you can make a slideshow from not only pictures, but you may also add small video fragments (many small digital photo-camera's are able to shoot MP4-videos) and you can add music and nice transitions between the photo and videoshots.

Everything is very simple and basic but therefore also very easy, making up for the lack of more complex features and controls.
This product comes also with an attractive GUI that gives a nice feeling working with it.
When your not bundling heaps of pictures it works well (it is a bit slow though).

Your endproduct will be a .mp4-file (same video-format those digital photocameras use).
The MP4-result can be used in everyway you like (on an iPod, but also on your PC etc.)
On a big screen you will lose a lot of sharpness but on little screens it is OK.

The software installed with no problems on Windows Vista Home Premium. Using the software is as easy as 1-2-3. I used over 40 various images (both jpg and bmp), from 9 megabytes to 24 megabytes in size, then added a background sound (mp3). The resulting mp4 file played well and the size was very acceptable. I don't have an iPod, but I do have an mp3, mp4, etc. player which I bought through eBay last year. The results worked great.

Forgot to add an alternative... Sorry..

DVD SLIDESHOW GUI [http://download.videohelp.com/tin2tin/] is free & lets you save in several formats - from the help file:

"Will let you export to a wide range of files:
.mpg (muxed image, sound, chapterpoints)
.m2v (image only)
.mp2 (sound)
.ac3 (sound)
.all (m2v, ac3, ssa, txt(chapters) in one go - GUI for DVDauthor and DVD author GUI needs these.
.iso (image, sound, chapters, dvdfolders as a ready to burn file)
.avi (If the combobox of the popup doesn't work, click in it and press the first letter of the codec you want to use. No sound)
.avs (You'll find a lot of encoders for this format ex. Virtual Dub. HcEnc, Quenc, Super(render ex. flash, mp4 ect.)
.flv (Flv is a flash videoformat wich can be embeded in html and streamed on the net.)
.gfd(Gui for Dvdauthor file with menus: main, slideshow, album, slides)
.srt (subtitles format - to import into your favorite DVD authoring app.)
.ssa (subtitles format - to import into your favorite DVD authoring app.)
.txt (chapterpoints for each image in frames or smpte)
DVD folders. (image, sound, chapters, dvdfolders)"

Pros:
Wondershare iPod Slideshow has a cute interface & uses the well-known & free Mencoder. The maximum size of 320 X 240 is probably OK on most small displays - at that size video will fill a std TV screen (though not at top quality) so it should work OK once you start dropping below 5". And a smaller picture cuts the file size so you don’t need as much compression - a 320 x 240 picture can look better with a little compression, than a picture twice the size (640 x 480) with twice the compression.

Cons:
Other than size you can’t control the bit rate or quality, and you can’t set the frame rate - both are pretty important; I’d go so far as calling these missing features a critical flaw.

Unknown:
The “15 Minute Review” at the top of this page mentioned that the iPod Slideshow wouldn’t work on a test PC... During installation the program adds 3 files to the system32 folder that I think are part of the Microsoft Vis. Studio 2005 runtime... that’s not a problem in and of itself if it’s done properly, but it’s the only thing I can see that might cause a conflict - if 1 program requires or installs one version, & iPod Slideshow another, maybe that’s the problem? The files are: “msvcm80.dll”, “msvcp80.dll”, & “msvcr80.dll” - in Vista you may have multiple versions of these files in subfolders under Windows\winsxs\ that other programs use.

I just uninstalled the previous Wondershare offering because my Anti-virus software was indicating various Trojans attempting to install themselves. The viruses were listed as residing in the Wondershare file. I don't believe that is proof that the viruses originally came with the Wondershare software, but just wanted to let you all know just in case. It could be that the viruses migrated into the Wondershare file in some way. Someone with a wiser head than mine no doubt knows how this might work.

#4 You have based your entire distain of the company over something which is not immoral in any way. I have a mailing list and mailing list tools are invaluable for sending out subscription emails to it. The company are NOT offering email address harvesters - which would be very wrong - but are giving a program that allows genuine mailing lists to be contacted.

A while back, giveawayoftheday offered a program called KML which was to enable sending mailing list emails with ease - many people baulked and were up in arms on the comments board saying it was wrong - it simply is not.

In the same way that you cannot hold a kitchenware shop or supermarket responsible for knife crime, you cannot hold a software developer responsible if their programs for legitimate purposes are used illegitimately. Your post therefore is defamatory and wrong and unfairly paints an otherwise reputable company in a bad light.

To #6: Yes, this software also works for people without iPod, you can use it to make slideshow, it will output MP4 video. If you want to edit the slideshow on Windows Movie Maker, you have to convert the mp4 video to wmv video at first, I always use this video tools to do that, I have got it from Giveaway a few monthes ago, it's easy to use and works pretty good. You can also use it to burn the slideshow to DVD for playback on lager screen TV.

Ever noticed that the WonderShare PPT2-everything is remarkably like the acoolsoft.com PPT2-everything? Oh wait, maybe that explains why they share the same phone no! ( http://www.google.com/search?q=%22755-86117717%22 )

Wondershare's domain 'photo-to-dvd.com' is registered to one ByteSky Software. As it happens, there's a Bytesky Software which sells bulk mailer tools:

--- edited ---

"Publisher Name: Bytesky Software
Publisher Homepage: --- edited ---

1st Bulk Email Direct Sender is a professional high speed bulk email direct sender program. It is an ideal for newsletters, targeted marketing, and keeping in touch with clients. Because this mailer sends out mails in MX mode and works like a mail server, you don't need unreliable blind relays anymore...."

(The whois info on that one is interesting: --- edited ---

Wei Wang owns 11125 other domains and has 428102 other sites on his server! Wow. That's almost as many domains as his fellow Canadian domainer, the infamous Yun Ye...)

Anyway, I don't know if ByteSky Software is the same as Bytesky software, but I'm not willing to take the risk...

Nice software, but I do not like to add photos, videos and background music to make the mp4 video for iPod. With a single click, you can touch-up, crop, or rotate photos and videos. I just like to watch the currunt movies on my iPod. If I want to make the video, I will do it with the full functions on my Computer. I will use some great video ditor tools such as the Video Tools. It is much better than this simple iPod software.

It can not only create your entertaining slideshows on iPod.The video tools make you enjoy more.

1. DV AVI, MP4 (inc. Sony PSP and Apple iPod), WMV, 3GP, 3G2, QuickTime (MOV, QT), SWF, DVD, VOB, VRO,MPG, MPEG 1,2,4, DAT, VCD, SVCD, ASF, MJPEG, H.263, H.264, Real Video (RM, RMVB), DVR-MS.

2. Convert video files and DVD to DVD, hard drive, Sony PSP, Apple iPod, Archos, Zen Creative or any other portable media player. Video converter supports Memory Stick Video format with thumbnail preview.

3. Cut unwanted parts and TV advertisings from DVDs or video files recorded with PVR, DVR & DVD camcorders. Our scene detection algorithm saves your time by splitting video into episodes. Leave the scenes you need, delete the ones you don't.

4. Create movie DVDs or VCD and SVCD from video files of all supported formats with AVS Video Tools integrated burning engine to watch them on your home DVD player with friends and family. Use DVD menu templates. Split your movie into chapters.
