Very unintuitive program. Some of the most basic commands are a major pain and the most basic shortcut keys dont' work in this editor.

Turned computer on this morning (4-5 hours after the giveaway offer) and the software lost it's PRO version.................. -.-

I never did get the activation code and I downloaded and installed with 7+ hours to go. Very disappointed!

got it downloaded...and got the free version first and then got the key in email and did not know where to put the key. then upgrade button i pressed and then got a blank for pasting the key and then got fresh download which erased the previous download and came to pccupy the desktop. thanks! it is very useful.

I followed the instruction PLUS RUNNING IT AS ADMINISTRATOR and all worked perfectly.

The weird thing is that after successful activation message if I'm not running video editor as Admin it still shows the upgrade banner otherwise it shows "Licensed to Special Edition Giveawayoftheday", so I need to run it as Admin.

It's not just video editor, it comes with screen recording, webcam/device recording modules, and you can use them in the free version as well.

#71 Sorry should have added that I restarted VSCD and also rebooted my laptop but it made no difference - still just got the non-PRO edition

Install went smoothly and on input of registration code activation was confirmed. However, when I load up there is no reference to PRO version only unregistered version - VSDC Video Editor Free Edition v5.5.0.601. There is also a banner re upgrading to the PRO version. Clicking on it takes me to buy now on the website. Clicking on "About" also shows "VSDC Video Editor - Unregistered version".

Help, somebody!! I need to convert to the PRO version before the giveaway expires!

I didn't read the comments thoroughly enough, and had problems activating before I realized I needed to change the program properties so it would always run as administrator. Then, when I restarted, the registration was valid.

Looses its registration after a restart. Then get File access error when try to register again.

I commented a couple of hours ago about having dificulties with starting this program on my windows 7, 32 bit machine. But my comment was removed.

I, politely, requested some help in this matter, hoping that maybe someone, possibly even the Developer himself, would help me solve this problem.


My problem with starting this application, most probably stems from a difficulty of the program to innitialize DivX codec, because for a split of a second, after starting a program, I can see from the little window that this is what the program is trying to do, but a second later the program stops working, and the window disappears from my screen instantly.

Hopefully, someone might know the solution to this problem.

I must admit that I am very, very interested in trying this program.

I did not receive the registration code from developer website (makes this the first time goof for a GAOTD software). Will uninstall it by tomorrow if I don't receive it.

The free look from the early 1980's, designed by kindergarten kids with crayola.

Fine looking program. There needs to be a GIF export so web friendly short vids can be saved. Also, allows for cinemagraphs if can save as GIF.

Filled out form and received registration key immediately. Installed program and it asked to reboot computer. After rebooting, I launched the program and it crashed. Thinking something went wrong with this installation, I uninstalled VSDC Pro Video Editor then reinstalled it. Again it asked to reboot so I did. Launched the program and it crashed again. Cannot get this to even run so I uninstalled it. VSDC Pro Video Editor was installed on Windows XP SP3 x86 which meets the requirements. Obviously not. Thanks anyways.

Extremely quick receipt of the email to register; actual registration was immediate after I entered the code. Beautiful interface. I'm looking forward to using this great program. Thanks so much, GAOTD and Flash-Integro!

Thanks for fixing the server. I just got it all installed. At the first glance I'd say the program looks good, though I have to play with it a little more to really give an opinion on it.

Went through entire installation again and input "Give Away of the Day comment page (I don't use social media)" as the link to my "review" and it worked this time. I guess the "I don't use social media, please sent key to my email" option is a once and never again option. It opened a different page before that had the key on the web page. This time, it came in an email. If you are going to restart your computer between install and activation as some have suggested, be sure to save the key to a file to use when you restart. It would have saved me a lot of time. Sorry that now I don't have time to review the program, but look good so far. I normally judge my level of usage by the ease of creating a video out of parts of others with transitions between and how long it take to figure that out. Anyone else have an opinion? I would love to read your experience.

Boy did I mess up. I read all the messages and decided to install and restart before I put in the code I got off some web page in the installation procedure because someone said that a particular file held up their "pro" status until they restarted and then entered the key. Well I can't find the key again. I install, check emails, request again, do everything I can think of. No second chance at a key anywhere. My church wanted to buy some software (not the expensive stuff) that would probably be like this, but I can't try it out to tell them. Why can't software companies just put keys in the installation folder like they used to? I know they need to limit the time of installation, but this is ridiculous.

When it is installing it says FREE video editor, not PRO. Also, after it finishes installing it pops up with an error message that says "Error: cannot launch program due to the file mfc120u.dll missing. Please reinstall and try again."

I got the key, and it's the PRO version now.

Does VSDC Pro work with Intel Quick-Sync?

Silly question from a non computer guy. We have hours of family video. Will this enable me to take a small clip out. Then to be able to email the small clip?

I did install this program with the admin rights on my windows 7 Pro, 32 bits.

Unfortunately, the program will not start, and I am getting BEX error.

Tried to give it a permission in DPE, but I keep getting a message saying "This program must run with DEP enabled".

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Registration Info does not sent out to get email key.
Jammed at Vendors Site.
Tried Twice and said error in service cannot send my info out to get key.

I don't use social media so have to left the first field empty, filled in my name and, email and the security code and pressed get your key right now.

For anyone having trouble with VSDC Video Editor Pro showing as being free after entering the registration number, you need to restart the application in order for it to show up as the Pro version.
