Video Combiner is a powerful video merging software tool on Windows.
This small video tool allows users to merge video clips in multiple formats into a single video at one time, and it has a variety of adaptive video resolution to choose from.
This useful video combing application supports video formats recorded from all major smart phones and tablets such as Apple iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, Android Tablet, and supports most of popular video formats such as MP4, MOV, FLV, 3GP, AVI, WMV, MPG, VOB and more.

Please click the "Upgrade" button to use the key. The button is on the toolbar and has an "up arrow with a user" icon.

Glad I checked today as I downloaded this with less than 45 minutes remaining. I also appreciate the comments by others earlier as finding the place to put in the registration key is not immediately apparent.

For anyone else coming in here at the end of the giveaway, when you open the program there is no place to enter the key. You must first add a file.. any video file will do, it doesn't matter. Then a row of 7 interface buttons appears. The last one, to the right of the "about" button (blue circle with a question mark" has an up arrow, which presumably stands for upgrade. Click on that and you get a pop-up where you can enter the key. I then exited and restarted the program, even though it may not have been required.

I test merged 4 short mp4 files from a camcorder. The program combined them all very quickly, taking perhaps a minute to output a file that was 2:37 total length. The file size of the resulting video was much smaller than the 4 separate files, but played full screen on a 22" monitor, I could see or hear no difference between the originals and the merged file.

Small download. Easy install. Simple interface. It worked well. This is what I come to GotD for and both appreciate and recommend this software, even though there are only 18 minutes remaining as I submit this.

Ran a trial, It kept the 4 core processor @100% for a extended length of time and the ram at 25%,I also monitored the temp, was too high for my comfort. I am running 14 gigs of ram, and a 4 core processor. The two film clips was about 30 minutes in length. I had to shut it down. I was afraid it would fry my processors, Uninstalled the program.

5 minutes to join two 14 second videos . tried two other larger files, had to stop , slow as a turtle.
Format Factory, free, does this MUCH faster, plus many tools. It is far superior to this offering.
Uninstalled.

As it combines videos of different formats and outputs to MP4, it needs to compile them so there much be some video quality loss.
It would be nise if you could trim the ends of each added video.

Nice little program, works well.
I would suggest that GPU (Nvidia & AMD) support be added to this since it takes a very heavy toll on the main CPU while the GPUs remains idle.
Other then that, it works good.

This program cannot possibly function properly under XP or Vista or server 2003 or Server 2008 because GPLv3 build of FFMPEG DLL's and executables is built for Windows 7 and above. In order for this to operate under XP and Vista etc you will need to find and replace the FFMPEG DLL's and ffprob.exe ffplay.exe and codec.exe with a build that will run on your operating system. Personally IF I had a need to concatentate disimilar resolution/frame rate/encoding method video clips into a production video of some sort I would choose a video editor that gives me complete freedom with rendering individual video files into a resultant compilation video and permit advanced transformations and transition effects like VSDC Free or Pro Video Editor... can use it to conctenate portrait and landscape mobile phone FHD clips into FHD landscape with full control over the placement of the portrait video... could even add a text panel on a blank side of the portrate clip to give the video context or provide additional information which could not be done with this. Will dig up a Vista compatible copy of dynamicly linked FFMPEG and see if the product does anything useful.

TK,

It should be use on Win7 or later.

Woody, says who? The System Requirements clearly state XP and Vista as does their website:

"OS: Windows 10, XP(SP3), 2003, Vista, 7 ,8 or later & Windows Server (32/64 bit)"

TK, you can find the XP version from the hompage https://www.mp3toolkit.com/videocombiner.html

Woody, ok now that new version and page is similar to what I've done and described to do... except it and the original are in breach of the GPLv3 lcense terms that FFMPEG is licensed to them with unless they are also licensing their entire product as Open Source GPLv3 compatible which they don't seem to. As their developer will know that they do not do anything with the ffmpeg.exe that requires the windows 7 and above 4.1 or better builds so might as well just replace the entire Windows 7 and above only code line with the XP and Vista compatible "code line" Also they should open source their product or LGPLv2 or 3 build the FFMPEG.EXE and PROBE.EXE

I made some diverse "lossless" clips using Joyoshare media cutter (previous gotd giveaway). I combined the clips using this product and it worked fine. The output file seemed the same quality as the originals. I did notice that I had to click on the "combine now" button several times before it would start working. Also it was slow - even using the cpu acceleration which makes it use all the cores. I prefer quality over speed. This is definitely a keeper!

Installed and upgraded without problems on Win 7 64 bit system.
I dropped two .mp4. videos and pressed the "Combine Videos Now" button but nothing happened. No combination videos at all.
Activating the Log Mode the log file contains the following:
(2020-02-05 17:34:32) Start Converting: C:\Users\plecmd\Videos\VideoCombiner\IMG_0009.mp4
(2020-02-05 17:34:32) Finished: C:\Users\plecmd\Videos\VideoCombiner\IMG_0009.mp4

Any hint or advice regarding this?

Saludos!

Installed without problems, thanks to info on first comment.
As to the app, well.... I'm not sure if it works. Maybe only for small files.
Tried with 2 mp4's coded in hevc around 445 Mb each. After 40 minutes running, output was still zero, so I cancelled the operation.

can this simply join video files without re encoding or conversion?

Reply   |   Comment by guru  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

guru, absolutely not, it is a GUI for merging and rescaling video files to a specified output file format using FFMPEG to do the decoding, and resizing and re-encoding, no more and no less.

Thanks about this GOTD! :)

Probably a lot users might like this GOTD and there is a portable version too! :)

To find the Icon (person) to Upgrade to Pro, the next had to be done:

When the program is active/started, click in the middle of that programs window, No need to choose a file, just click it away/cancel.

Than the program goes to a GUI, where the user can edit the files.

There at the right of the left icons, click on the person icon.

A registration window open and the registration key can be copied there, click enter and the software is registered.

PS: Have a happy work week & weekend, Enjoy! :)

USER, the portable versions executable does not accept the giveaway license key. Also it is not truely portable as it stores language setting in vclan.ini in the users apdata\roaming folder. If you run the giveaway build instead of the portable build it does accept and activate the program AND the portable build on that machine only as it is stored on the localy activated machine not within the portable folder/s

So very easy to download, install and upgrade. I was able to add a couple of avi and combined to mp4. I have a greeting card app on my computer that I enjoy making cards with sounds, pictures etc.. Then I can e-mail them to people. However, only avi mode. So this is perfect as it turns the cards into mp4 easily enough or mov files. Thank you giveaway of the day!

Installed without problems on Win 7 64 bit system. To utilize the free upgrade, I first added a video file, clicked on the 'upgrade to pro' button, and added the key from the readme file. I then tested the app by combining a .mp4 file with a .ts file, using the app defaults. The conversion was fairly slow but the resultant file was perfect. This software works as advertised.

UPGRADE TO PRO to register your key - if you don't see that message, add a video file or go to the added video files screen in the program/app and then you'll see 'upgrade to pro' on the right side of a number of square buttons to click and next to the "?" in a blue circle.
