I got a total of 49 screens with 9 effects each by clicking the get More pointed out by XP-Man in #5, downloading each one, and installing one at a time. Some look like they might be fun. Others are kind of buggy and many don't show a preview till you click on it, and/or get your face in the right position. So it takes time. There was a bloody Jason mask in one of these, so be careful letting the little kids play with it. I haven't checked out all 49 screens of 9 effects yet. It would have been better for me to get all sets with the initial installation instead of needing to install each set one at a time. Most effects are not very polished to say the least. But, for some quick and easy fun photos, I'm keeping it for now. I recommended it to my college daughter.

but Manycam has a snag screen and will install Ask toolbar even if u uncheck it during install.
Video Booth is a real cool prog if ur into this type of things...
but for $49.95 one should be able 2 import pics & vid clips... also ability to mix effects.

Thanks GoTD and developer for the offer. Installed on my kids laptop (college girl) and she finds it useful and fun but it is a little costly since most laptops (dell and HP) comes with some watered down software like this already.

After installation when you go into effects you will see a get More Button; with this you can download a large number of effects which have to be installed, hence, if you wish to track this installation it would be best to download them before you finish the tracking of the installation.
The interface is very simplistic as are the effects which you not appear to be editable, it's a program for children and they will certainly love some of the animation figures and probably any little videos you make for them.
It's a fun little program but I feel highly priced, I know it's free for today but my comment is for the developers.

Which version of the program is this? The developer's website shows a free version and a Pro version. When you install today's giveaway, you'll find a link to 'Get Video Booth Pro' in the start menu folder that's been created. The website says that when you buy the Pro Version, the serial number will be e-mailed to you. The giveaway version doesn't need a serial number.
Even more confusingly, on the developer's website the version available for download is 2.5.3.2, but the GOTD version is 2.5.4.2. Is this a special GOTD only version, the Pro version, or the free version?
If it is the Pro version, then $49.95 seems extremely high for a gimmicky program that many people will get tired of very quickly.

tried this one time before and a couple things bothered me:
1. Website user reviews appear generic and canned, as if referring to any other program but this one.
2. Screenshots show wondrous results but the reality is quite different. The effects are goofy and childish.
Website reviews from outside sources don't actually link to the outside sources. When I went to Brothersoft to see if the program was an "Editor's Choice" I discovered this is rated 49th in webcam programs. If this was an editor's choice it must have been a while back, either that or the editor has rather loose standards on what constitutes as "choice".
No thanks, I'll pass this time out. My days of amazement over these time killer programs died when "Miami Vice" was cancelled.

I already have this software and have to say that there is nothing amazing about it. Effects are really childish. Also even though I had a full version after a few months it changed itself into free version and wants me to pay for full version again. I have to say NO THANK YOU!
