Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise.
ThesesAssistDrawer 6.2.5 was available as a giveaway on January 21, 2022!
ThesesAssistDrawer, shorted as TAD, is a powerful MS Word addin that can help you configure the layout of papers, theses or science articles. TAD is compatible with 2007 or newer version of Microsoft Word, or with 2016 or newer version of Kingsoft WPS.
The program enables you to easily manage thesis template styles. You can also generate thesis templates featuring auto-numbered headings with a single mouse click. In addition, it offers you the possibility to include cross-references to headings, captions, pages and references with minimum effort.
References can be edited or added by automatically merging consecutive cross-references, or by listing end notes and paragraphs. Complex keyboard operations or shortcut keys commands can be easily executed, as well.

The notice for this program appeared in my email for Giveawayof the day this morning (1/22) at 5:03 AM EST. This page says it was available on 1/21, and now only the trial version is available. What's going on? I didn't see this available on 1/21.
Lately, sometimes the giveaway emails arrive in my inbox in the evenings rather than mornings

Harold Drabkin, This has been happening to me for a while, too. I receive a message about something that was given away yesterday - so it's of no use today, just like today's effort. One day not long ago I received an e-mail which offered freebies from four different days - most of which, of course, were just annoying because it was too late! The e-mails do arrive quite a bit later than they used to do, even when they are still available on the actual day I receive them. I have been thinking quite seriously about just ending my visits here, but occasionally - much less often than used to happen - there is something interesting, useful and - most important of all, really - still available, still on the day of the actual offer.
I have mentioned this before on this page, several times, but I've never had an answer, so I'm still no wiser as to what the blazes has gone wrong with this GAOTD page. If it makes any difference, I'm in the UK, so perhaps the powers-that-be have decided that we over here are simply not worth including in the offers?

S Whintor, I'm on the US East Coas (EST). Have used this site for many years but this is happening all of a sudden.
Sometimes I get an email around 10PM PST even.

Harold Drabkin, Yes, I'm getting the e-mails a lot later than I used to - I've had some with about an hour left before the daily giveaway runs out! Which doesn't give me much time to check them out and decide if I want the freebie. But then as I mentioned, some even arrive the day after or even later, which is even less useful. The ones that arrive with several offers of programmes which have already run out are the most infuriating, though. If somebody somewhere collects a list from three or four days back and sends them as a GAOTD - well, it obviously won't be much use to anybody!
I did wonder if the timeslip was connected to the current pandemic, which is causing a lot of hiccups in so many ways. But if that's the case, surely it would make more sense to either allow more time for people to check out several days' worth at a time, without them running out in the meantime, or else just call a halt to GAOTD, with the hope of restarting once the Plague has quietened down. Sending out lists which people cannot possibly try out is such a waste of everyone's time.
Oh well - I hope they manage to get it sorted out soon. It used to be a good way of trying things out before committing yourself to buying something new, but this current business is just frustrating and annoying, and I fear it will put people off coming in to see what's on offer today.

Locked up computer during installation but completed on second, give them the benefit of the doubt and put the blame on my machine although its something that rarely happens. Found the Drawer on the desktop rather over the top, I don't think it needs to be shown bar when you are actually using Word but I like the option of three sizes to pick from, its always going to be small in my case. Looks interesting, shall have a play around with it.

Hi, does this also work with Libre Office?
Save | Cancel
Jaroslav, hi, back in 2019 - when it was last given away here - it would only work with MS Office. Now it also supports Kingsoft but not Libre.
Check this comment from the developer: https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/thesesassistdrawer/#comment-641114
You can try getting it to work but there is no mention anywhere of Libre support, so expect it to not work with it as said.
I'm also "only" on Word 2013 - even tho it works great still - and out of luck too, time to upgrade i guess. :D

Hi Jaroslav. No, it doesn't. It only works with MS Word and Kingsoft WPS.

Jaroslav, there are lots of template support for Libre office, I have found similar designs as this one. So look for it, you may find not the same design, but similar.
