No matter what I do, and I have done every single step posted and in email: (The READ THIS File). I have downloaded the product, and ran the product, BUT CAN NOT INPUT THE KEY. It never works, never even comes up, as I have clicked 'EVERYTHING" there is to click.

Hi, Did I miss something: impossible to choose where the application installs? So it automatically installed in C:\Program Files (x86);

After installation, it seemed to work, but after turning it off, I cannot get it to start again. Everything is grayed out and non clickable. How can it be started again?

A whole 2GB of data per month. I guess this giveaway isn't meant to be a general use VPN, as I'd burn through that data limit in a matter of a few days on my desktop PC, and probably within a week on my phone. Spread that out between the 3 device limit and I'd have maybe 2 days worth of VPN service.
Thanks for offering, but even as a test of the VPN service, this won't work for me.

I installed the product as instructed. My serial number never arrived in my inbox and it is not also in my spam folder. Please send asap so I could activate my one year free period.

does not work in restricted countries

I just got a personal serial number... So where are the VPN login details? Or are we required to install Steganos's software which doesn't have Linux support?

You should note the system requirements on this page which clearly mention "Windows 7/ 8/ 10".

M_z, I thought a VPN is a service which I can use with any client. This however is a VPN service with the requirement of Steganos Online Shield VPN client and nothing else.
So if I understand it right: this is not a giveaway for those who only want the VPN part but not the software.

M_Z, the system requirements on Steganos's page is Windows 7/8/10, Android 7.0 or higher, iOS 11 or higher, macOS 10.11.

Anonymous, you should check their Help or F.A.Q if are there instructions to use openvpn for linux... Most providers don't bother with linux clients, since there are nice GUIs for openvpn already or just one command does the trick if you have the .ovpn file.
But, you should check if you really need a VPN, what is your use case? If you want anoniity check out TOR, if you want to bypass geo restrictions don't bother with this one.... Not worth, other providers are cheaper and have many servers in various countries that work with netflix and other streaming services.

Anonymous, I would like this for my Android phone but would I have to install it on my PC first before my phone?

Tux, I posted here because I didn't find the openvpn configs.
I wonder whether those down votes are for mentioning Linux, or they all found the configurations which can be used without Steganos's own client...
Tor doesn't support UDP, its TCP only.

Tux, why I couldn't reach any server to connect my laptop to vpn?

Tux,
"other providers";
"various countries"
that doesn't cut it: be specific.

Anonymous, why are you here if linux is your OS. 99 percent of giveaways here are windows based programs. And this is a program (Online Shield VPN), not a service. Last time I installed it , it took over my browser with it's own trackers. You will rarely, if ever, see a decent VPN given away here.

webix, It's called do your research. If I'm in the US and you somewhere in, Europe for example, I won't know what VPN will work in your country.

Anonymous, Any VPN service needs a client, be it Steganos, Nord, Windscribe etc.
This may help for linux: https://openvpn.net/vpn-server-resources/connecting-to-access-server-with-linux/

webix, I didn''t specify because I'm not advertising any service, you should STFW and choose a service that satisfy your needs.

Mark, VPN is a service, the client they provide to use this service is for windows or mac, but if they provide the certificate fingerprint and a token or better yet the pre-configured .ovpn you can connect to their service from any OS that supports open vpn.

juan, You might be in a country that blocks their entry nodes or tried connecting from a network that blocks the ports needed by the client maybe.

Anonymous, You are not supposed to use TOR for anything that using UDP would make a difference, that's why I asked about your use case... If you are using proprietary streaming services, a VPN would only serve to bypass geo restrictions at best, you can't verify the "no logs policy" some of them claim to adhere to, you just transfered the data collection from your ISP to the VPN provider, if you want to use a VPN to improve privacy you should build your own using a VPS, but the VPS payment info still links you to that traffic...
