Dear users,

If you are experiencing problems with the serial key provided for the product, try copying and pasting the data again while paying attention to the extra space at the end. The program nearly always accepts it after the second try.

I installed early this morning...says it is activated but no place to put key or address. Reinstalled tonight hoping issue was fixed but it stated the same thing that it is activated but no place to register.

It'snot something that I myself would have use for but I am pleased to see a vendor that recognises sensible pricing for it's product and increase it's chances for people to give it a whirl for the price of a Skyhighpricedbucks coffee.

I am having issues activating. When I click ABOUT and then click ACTIVATE underneath it causes a new window to pop up. However, there are not two entry fields, only one and you can't make out which field is even appearing in the ACTIVATE window . Has anyone else had this issue?

Starchild, put the key in the one box you can see then shift tab and you'll be in the email box

Installed with no issue but failed at repeat attempts to activate - after reading all comments. Blocked and copied key with extra care not to include any trailing blank. Uninstalled.

My bad. Preparing to uninstall, closing the readme file, I found that I had inserted my email address instead of the address specified in the readme file. Activated ok.

Installed this on last years giveaway of exactly the same version on 32bit Windows Vista... found it a bit too restrictive in that it only deals with mobile device icon sets and does not include windows icon sets only individual ico files and I feel there should be a raster editor to fine tune pixels in the various resolutions in an icon set.

No problem at all with installation, windows 7 64bit. Made an icon easily (used my own image). Suggestions: 1 Add a "Save As" so user can assign a name instead of the software. 2 Since the purpose is to create an icon, then the default save should be .ico. Otherwise, the program does what it says.

Every photo editor has ICO format for saving any picture into icons, makes this software un-necessary.

Mike, The advantage is it has a huge number of ready-to-go icon parts you can combine, without having to draw stuff.

JohnL, there are many web site for free icons, furthermore, any picture can be modified and saved as icon on any photo editor you have installed. Also, you can modify the color, saturation, size and so on, with a regular photo editor and the results are better and you will feel proud that you did it.

from their website:
"You can also export your icon or graphic image in any size you want and you can choose from the following output formats: PNG, JPG, BMP, TIFF, ICO and ICNS."
Doesn't have SVG so no good for me

A quick initial comment - the Activation dialogue doesn't render properly on my 4k monitor (Win10 Pro x64), so the e-mail field is almost entirely hidden behind the Key field. I was able to paste the data in though.

The main interface doesn't resize and doesn't draw correctly, so for example I only see about the top half of all the icons on the Image tab.

Changing the High DPI setting to "System(Enhanced)" in the Compatibility Settings tab of the program's Properties dialog does seem to fix it.

Also in the colour pickers an immediate preview in the main Window would be nice.

The ability to import images would be good too.

There is no Help file. Something simple, especially talking about icons for various target O/Ses, would be handy.

Same problem I been having with some of the other offers. Enter information for activation and it tells you that this information is not correct. I am about to give up on this site. Very annoying to run into this sometimes.

Dave Wiloch, this is a common thing, try re-entering the data. It worked for me in this giveaway.

Dave Wiloch, It activated okay on my computer - always worth checking you haven't copied an extra trailing space

Reply   |   Comment by JohnL  –  Last year  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+5)

Dave Wiloch, If it happens with other offers and no-one has expressed a specific issue, then (not being rude) but it appears the issue is with you. How do you select a key to copy it? If you double click it, or select the next line, then you could be copying too much, for example, extra line spacing. Entering keys manually can also be a pain and error prone (is that a zero or a letter o? Is that a 1 or a number I?) so copying and pasting is the best way, but just ensure you're copying the right information.
