Softdiv PDF Split and Merge is a PDF software that allows you to easily split and merge PDF files in just a few steps. The program allows you to merge unlimited number PDF documents as a single PDF file in batch mode.
One can specify to merge all pages or just a selected page range. Softdiv PDF Split and Merge also allows you to split and break a large PDF file into multiple smaller parts. It supports multiple types of splitting methods (Split into single-page PDF file, Delete unwanted pages, Delete unwanted page ranges and Split by group of pages) to accomplish different types of splitting goals.
There's built in PDF Reader, which allows you to preview PDF files before you split or merge. In addition, this program also capable of processing password-protected PDF documents. There are also options for settings the password, title, author, creator, and subject values for the split or merged PDF files.

Apparently, there is no drag & drop function, which is a drag. Also, on their homepage, there are screenshots all of which each open in a separate window and you cannot move forward, you have to individually close each opened up page and select another screenshot and then close that one and and and. This is kindergarten level programming and does not instill much trust in their coding ability.

Thank you for the giveaway. The pdf preview cannot stay open while making changes to the settings at the same time such as adding the pages to delete. That makes the function not work as well since you either have to write down all the pages first viewing the preview then close the preview, or close the preview, add the page, then open the preview again but it starts back on page 1 rather than where you left off. Another program called pdf page delete has the pages listed on the left and the pdf preview of the page on the right for each page which was more usable but not free, this just for feedback to improve. This also has a basic merge capability to merge pdf documents together and in what order to combine, but lacks any more advanced features such as picking pages from each and combining in a certain order.

pm, I guess I'm just an old, paranoid curmudgeon but I simply refuse to submit my documents to some online program if I have an option to do it locally.
Yes I don't give a rat's behind if I'm working on bowling league data but if I need to split and paste parts of a payroll report it just ain't gonna happen. Guess I'm saying that I never want to think whether or not things are safe before doing it. PDF handling is important to me so I just paid full boat for Acrobat but if it was for a casual need I'd certainly entertain this or something else from GAOTD.

However, it would be great to have the created output folders, all separated named and ? (date & time tagged or whatever) each split.
No it isn't, all the split'd PDF files get saved in one folder, every time. While it should have being Split Page by Page (or, SPP Date & Time) and the next, a.s.o.
