This company massively spammed our email addresses. I use unique email addresses so can be sure who spammed them. This company is generating at least 2 spam mails/day. Stay clear of spamming Virtuoza!

My spyware program found a keylogger installed in the SmartToDo registry entries. . . I don't know if it was randomly installed there, but CounterSpy found something called OverSpy installed with the SmartToTo registry. Needless to say, I have removed the keylogger and uninstalled STD.

Just wanted to let you know that:

This software "Smart to Do" by Virtuoza Software Inc. showed up as a KeyLogger in a recent scan I ran with "SpyBot Search & Destroy" program.

Please look into it.

Thanks for all you do.

Had DL this some weeks ago and checked it out. Was somewhat impressed, but didn't do enough of what I needed it to do to pay for it. Uninstalled it. When I DL it yesterday, and pulled it up, it was still counting down from the time before AND all my information was still entered - not that there was that much. Interesting. I'll keep if for a while and see if I can adapt it to my needs. I'm a mom and want to use it to rotate and remind family members of their chores - tabs work well for that. But cannot easily repeat a task. We'll see.

It is just what I needed. I have (make that had) lists everywhere including Outlook and paper scribbles on my desk. I can put the URL of what is relevant. I am very pleased.

A little late on the comments, but I wanted to comment that having installed SmartToDo yesterday afternoon and then installing Task Coach and Chaos Manager to see if any of those would meet my needs better as, I would like to say that for anyone seeking a simple, user friendly, attractive To Do List with reminders this program is it. This would include anyone that uses Outlook for appointments and other such and finds the task manager lacking. I appreciate this giveaway, and it is exactly what I have been looking for, having tried several other simple To Do List programs before throughout the years, this one meets my needs better. Thank you GAOTD and Virtuoza software.

Firtst, thanks to Virtuoza for getting the issue with the serial keys resolved and for offering their software. A while ago I asked around in the forum for a To Do List and checked out a bunch of links. The one I picked was free in the light version (Swift To Do) and well, light is light and stops after so many tasks. So this is definitely better.
However, plenty of new links and free apps doing the same and all of them new to me. While each one has a thing going, the one that I like best is ToDoList from Abstract Spoon. It has a Tree View, but allows drag and drop within the hierachy of tasks, which for me is important as priorities change. It has the little checkboxes for easy checking off a task (both options missing in TaskCoach. Smart To do has drag and drop from Tabs, which is good, but not good enough). I wish the printing opions would just do by default a nicely printed list with checkboxes of selected tasks and optional details, but none do on first try. What I would love to see in any of them is a Gantt View of the task, but well, that almost crosses over to Project Management. I also don't particulary like the more rugged look of today's offering, because this is something intended to be used daily. Some eye candy won't hurt. Out of all the ones I tried today, it's looks and ease of use did rate high with my son though. If not for the better free apps, I would have stuck with this one.
Pura Vida

To BLADEDTHOTH

As others have complimented you. I too would like to say that your reviews are a welcome event on this site for myself, and many others as noted in the past. Thank you for such insight and the time you put into these efforts.

I find your on-review-page rating system confusing though. It just says "Rate This!". I think you would receive more ratings if it were more defined such as 'Rate this item / product!' or 'Rate this review!', whichever rating your after in this regard. No doubt many have come to rely on your review and read it daily. IMHO the undefined "Rate This!" is cause for the low rating input you seem to be receiving. I'm sure you have far/i> more traffic from GOTD than your rating system reflects. Just a thought!

Keep up the fine reviews and hopefully tomorrow the server issues will be resolved, and your icon will be up again along with your review linked to it. Thanks for your time.

Regards...

You've got to be kidding right? First I have to give my email to register-(NOT HAPPENING), that's akin to giving out my ph # so every time they want to pump me for more sales I get bothered by them (I have more than my share of Spam now thank you), and that's only if they keep it to themselves! Only after I learn I can trust a company (and more importantly... I'm genuinely interested in their product) will I give such info. We all take risks occasionally, but this isn't an area that warrants the risk with un-knowns.

This for $20! Again, you've got to be kidding! You want the best in this category? -> http://www.individualsoftware.com/products/personal_organizer/ including custom printout formats amongst other features.

For another $10 on top of the asking price for this GOTD you can get the full blown scheduler and To-Do list, along with features that nothing in it's class compares to for the money. -> http://www.individualsoftware.com/products/personal_organizer/anytime_organizer/
This can import outlook data (and many others (.csv format)) and synchronize on-line with others if you need that function. Over 250 print templates for your binder if you like. Just too much to list.

And my point?! Why should I even consider this app considering they want $20 to make it legal, and for what? Even the free alternatives listed here by others blow this away. To many limitations or refinements feature wise need improvement for this to even be considered a competitor in the "pay-for-software" category!

Thanks GOTD and Viruoza... but no thanks.

Most of the time I totally agree, #98. But this time it was the fault of the software provider which thankfully they remedied.

Smart To-Do is very simple software. While it is not the most powerful task managment software, it offers the basics in an easy to understand format. If you want something that you don't have to spend any time trying to master, then this is for you. If you need to read the instructions to operate this, get counseling. It would be nice to see hyperlink capabability in the notes, but aside from that quibble, this is a nice application. If you are after more powerful task management stuff, look at FusionDesk from the same company.

After exploring the author's site, I refuse to even consider this software. With such an unprofessional newsletter named Kick-***, I don't think I want to be affiliated in any way. There are still professional mannered people here, and some of us have children that we are trying to rear in the best possible way. Thanks, GOTD, but no-thanks, Virtuoza. Grow up!

Oh, it's a Bulgarian software company! I'm very proud!!! Allow me to speak my native language please!

getting the key directly- not by e-mail works perfectly- no probs- does install and open as registered fine- that does not say anything however on the quality of the program which , after a couple of minutes of fast screenig did not impress me to much, but some may like it some may not- anyway better then a "scree(m)nie"

Hello all! Since the key went back up, I have finished the 15-Minute Review! Check it out!

http://www.bladedthoth.com/reviews/15mrs/smart-to-do-v1-8/

As well, for those who submit their information and still says 'Being sent to you', go back to the previous page (Where you fill in the information,) hit 'F5' to do a full refresh of the page, then input your information again and it will give you the key. This is how I got it to work now. Hope this works for others!
