Some of them are internal Perfect Hotkey commands and the rest are Windows commands. The program will help you to manage repetitive tasks on your PC with high speed and minimal effort.

Why is it faster? Usually you open a program by clicking on the Start menu button, then clicking on All Programs. Your eyes search for the program icon, then you must click on it and only then the program will be launched. With Perfect Hotkey launching programs will take less time than usually.

In all the years that I've been coming here I've NEVER had a problem registering any software until today! Will someone please explain to me how to do this, or maybe someone from YL Computing can answer my question.
Thanks

Installed easily but finding the place to enter registration info was a pain - thanks @ eeellama for clearing that up. My OS is Win 7x64.

1) Program windows are NOT resizable - really - in 2016??? The main problem with that is some of the hot key strings are long, and the window will NOT expand wide enough to read the end of the string.
2) On main window it shows "statistics" box, showed 'disabled: 1 hotkey' BUT you cannot click on anything to see which one was disabled. Kind of like an 'idiot light' in a car - the 'Check Engine' light might come on, but "what PART of the engine? Doh!
3) you must TOTALLY exit the program once you enter license info for the license info to stick - "X" ing out won't do it.
4) I found that this program does NOT scan your system to see what hotkeys might already exist - you're on your own.
5) The main window offers a 'minimize' button, but no 'maximize' button, I tried to set up a "maximize active window' hot key, but it did NOT work.

I'm not sure I'm going to keep this (and certainly NOT buy it) unless at LEAST a 'drag to resize window' feature is added.

I think this program is not quite ready for primetime - JMO

Powder_Skier,
try ResizeEnable

You'll find that It works to resize some windows but other windows will remain steadfastly fixed in size, but it's worth checking out.

It did not work. This program can not be used to reproduce the double keyboard macro setup I talked about in my other post.

"Failed to launch the program" Giveaway of the day message when running setup.exe

Suggestions?

Reply   |   Comment by Dan  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Dan,
Temporarily disable antivirus software
Extract both setup.exe and setup.gcd into the same folder (important)
Run setup.exe to install the software
Delete setup.exe and .gcd files as you won't need them any more.
Register the program
Turn on antivirus software
Done!!

Drumpf, thanks for the info. I disabled Bitdefender -- Perfect Hotkey installed with no trouble on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

I have read the descriptions on this page and the product page, and I'm still not sure the answer:

What I want is a software that will scan my computer (Win 7 x64) and create a list of ALL the hotkeys I ALREADY have and then be able to manage them all from one place (this program.)

Will Perfect Hotkey 1.32 do that?

Thanks

Powder_Skier,

Check out the "Shortcut Key Explorer" (SKE) freeware Windows utility:

http://www.rjlsoftware.com/software/utility/shortcutkeys/

For each program that has a shortcut key (aka "icon hotkey") assigned, SKE displays a table with 3 resizable columns: 1) Shortcut Name, 2) Shortcut Key (key combination), and 3) Shortcut Location (which shows the full icon command line). The 3-column table can be sorted by clicking on the column's tabs.

I'll give this a try; I've been using PhraseExpress which is Free, versatile, and works rather well once it initiates (opens up).

The only problem I've ever had with PhraseExpress is the amount of time it take to initiate; approximately 50 seconds. I've always wondered what it's doing during that time.

Also - Lifetime

Reply   |   Comment by Ootje  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

Ootje,
Don't believe the "Lifetime" upgrades for one second. This is the same publisher that offers their Winutilities program with "Lifetime" updates. Only eventually the program ends up updating itself back to a trial version. This didn't happen once, this didn't happen twice. It happened three times. I will never put anything from this publisher on my computers again. If they can't write a program that will update itself successfully, how can I trust them to write a program that will effect my system?

Reply   |   Comment by gpc111  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

gpc111,
"Also - Lifetime"
I should have used more words: Lifetime License.
Lately there are licenses for 3 months, 6 month or a year. And today lifetime.

And yes, you are right about lifetime upgrades.
Only stupid firms will do that. They have to eat, drink, . .

Reply   |   Comment by Ootje  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Ootje,

You may call it what ever you like. But when a program states the expiration of the license is "Lifetime" I think most users assume that includes lifetime updates. Otherwise what is the point of offering a lifetime license?

Wow. I finally have to say something about the reviews here. I've been using this site for a few years now and have watched it get worse and worse.
Do none of you know wtf a review is?
People used to try out the software, test it fully and then write about the actual workings of the software. Other people could then read those reviews and try to make a decision a to whether they should try it out themselves.
NOW, all that happens here are people whining about registration issues or simply saying "It's good" etc.
Whatever happened to a REVIEW.
Come on people. Lets get this site back to the glory it once had when people used to actually write out well thought reviews.
Ashraf, I miss you.

Garpinder, I too have been a visitor and frequent downloader of software from this site for years now, SO, where do you suggest people who have downloaded a program, are experiencing difficulty in installing the software write and share their difficulties with others and even the developer?
You see Garpinder, in every single case, the software on offer and is downloaded here does not come with technical support, but on the day it is offered is the ONLY time they have the opportunity to interface with the developer and get support, from the installation process to using it and I have NO PROBLEM at all with individuals sharing their gripes with others of how difficult it was, or how easy it was or what problems they encountered and so forth.
The truth about "REVIEWS" is they will ALWAYS be subjective, what one person finds GREAT in a program others will not and others yet again, won't even bother to download the program. I quite enjoy the site as it is, I want to read about the difficulties Ding Dong is having installing the program, or how John Doe hates the software or how Jane Doe loves the software because in amongst all these inputs from people all over the world, someone will add a JEWEL of a review, a snippet of genius about the software and these are priceless. There you have it, Garpinder, let the people have their say in which ever way it they deem it necessary. Toodles.

Garpinder,

How much have you given back in reviews yourself?

http://i.imgur.com/6yDMGTY.png

I don't think you really have the standing to jump up on a soapbox but you made a valid point yet don't hold appear to yourself to the same standard.

Your post was one of those "complaints" you complained about :-)

Registration is a bit odd. Find Perfect Hotkey running in the tray in the lower right corner of your screen. Right click on it and choose "help" and then "registration". Right-click on the same icon to exit the program. Now when you restart the program it should show it's registered. Hope this helps.

I have been using Perfect Hotkeys since September 2015 and was impressed enough to go Pro in October 2015. I had been using Webkey 2000 for years up through Windows 7. No matter what I did Webkey 2000 just would not work in W10x64. Perfect Hotkeys was the answer. I had a little difficulty learning how to use it but was time well spent. I use Perfect Hotkeys every day, all day and it has been as solid an application as any that I use. Those who do not have a keyboard Mute key should check out www.NirSoft.net and setup that Mute command function to a Perfect Hotkey.

____________

I'll be trying this out with a second Keyboard I have to see if I can use it to pull off the same type of macro setup that LinusTechTips did for Adobe Premier. I doubt that this program is sophisticated enough to work, but I may be surprised! I will report back with my findings....

Btw, Debra and Debbie, these are both me. Google Chrome seems to change which name it gives me based on what device I'm using, so to prevent confusion I'm adding my last name initial. Still will go by both Debra and Debbie though.

Had this from another giveaway since September 2015.
It works in XP SP3.
There is no malware problem.
No bugs.
It does not damage your PC.
There are other macro software that do similar function. Use what you like.

Lenny,
Any program that works in Windows 7/8/8.1 works in W10 too. Unless the program or applet is specifically coded to work under W10.

Luis,

Not strictly true, whilst there quite a number of programs for Windows 7, 8 & 8.1 that will run without issues on Windows 10 there are quite a few that refuse to work on Windows 10, even with compatibility mode. I had to search for a few alternatives when I (dare I say it) upgraded to Windows 10, but it hasn't really been too much of an issue. Thanks for reply, even if some dumb cluck marks my comment down.
