i used to use bandicam® then Xsplit® now i use this for face cam i have had no issues with this software
easy install on my win10 acer all-in-one
sometimes GOTD has good items to download but this isnt one of them
try this out and if it helps to repay me for this info its easy just spread the message to anyone that could use this software

Well, I thought I would wait until later to give this one a try. So I did. Just finished TRYING to get this one to work. Alas, it isn't happening. So, I would suggest to all those that are waiting until later to pass this one by. It's not worth the hassle.

GAOTD you can do much, MUCH better than this.

NO responses from the developer. Either on this page or by email. Well, that's 24 hours that could have been spent on some software that the developer actually CARES about.

Personally couldn't get this app to install and when I thought I had finally done so - it did not work (or I could not use it).

And I even reviewed the online documentation.

I did get the 10Mb file.. installed... then it´s says it´s installed... registered or activated and I got no clue where the software is!

This is probably the best screenshot software, and is always free.

May i suggest a couple of free screen recorders that work very well and are easy to use? One is called CamStudio, and you can check it out here: http://camstudio.org/ . It allows you to use voice narration or you can choose to type which produces on-screen captions/subtitles if you prefer. Recorded files are high quality .AVI file type. It will also let you record an inset (picture-in-picture) in one corner of the screen with your webcam if you prefer. They also have a free lossless codec to significantly reduce the file size with little or no loss of quality. The program is open source and works very well.

The other is SMRecorder and you can check it out here: http://www.video2down.com/ . This program lets you do screen recording with onscreen annotation and/or voice narration. You can choose the quality level before you begin recording. Can't remember if it does the picture-in-picture thing, too. But it's a small program and easy to play around with. I've made a number of tutorial videos for friends using SMRecorder and they turned out fine.

One thing you should bear in mind with all these screen recorders is that the higher the resolution of your recording the more powerful your cpu needs to be. For example, if you're doing low-res and say, 15 frames per second, then a basic dual-core processor in your laptop or pc will easily get it done. If, however, you're going for high-res and 30 frames per second with inset webcam video then you better have a pretty good quad-core cpu to ensure smooth results. In other words, don't blame the software if your hardware is lacking in power!

Will this software work like Fraps and capture played on PC DVD and Blu-ray
movies?

Same problem as david. I have Win 10, 64 bit. I disabled my AVG Firewall. Still didn't work.

I love these free give-a-a ways however every time I download the program and I get a popup from the give away site that it was downloaded successfully, I can't find it anywhere on my computer. I have checked everywhere that I think it should be but I can't find them. I am using Windows 10, and it's very frustrating. Can anyone help me please?

Both Users (34) and the Technical Editor give this three starts out of five on Softpedia; I pay a little more attention to user reviews since they are the end users. A program can have tons of functions, but if it's not clear, concise, easy to use and installs with no problems it is not worth using.

I won't touch a program unless it has at least four stars; personal choice.

I know nothing about this type of software and so cannot offer alternatives; if you go to http://www.softpedia.com (Desktop/Windows) and search for "screencamera" Softpedia does offer alternatives, both PAID and FREE.

I also have noted there are problems when trying to buy developer's software from its website (and here).
Discount are not shown and aren't available or a different software is presented.
I didn't want really to buy its software, I've only tried to publicize it on a forum, but I had to give up given that it's not reliable.
Examples:
- I tried to buy ezburner and Video Watermarker was presented (fastspring.com).
- ezburner on regnow shows euro 0,00 (thanks!)
- I tried to buy ScreenCamera.Net but it says € 83,67 (when under the software there is written $9.90)

When trying to install, after select language, I receive the message: "Could no connect to server installer will abort". Can you help? Thanks.

Here are comments and suggestions:

1. Post your videos on your website with titles above or below the video, the truncation of the text is incomplete.
2. Post your videos on the landing page with a link, not just the menu bar.
3. have the videos done in English and Spanish (I assume your native language is Spanish)
4. Have your videos professionally done with good voice-over, no music background, and have caption because I have trouble to hear and understand them now. They seem to ramble, and that is a turn off. (there a lots of folks on fiverr.com to do this for you.)
5. list your features and benefits clearly, (it captures all participants in a Skype call separately or together in conference calls [automatically]) for example.
6. define a 'virtual webcam'. I have no idea what that is. - If i don't have a webcam, does it let me create one virtually.
7. the videos appear complicated, and I had to strain to understand them or the purpose.
Bottom line, thanks for the offer, but you need better communications because i don't understand why I need this, or how to use it so I will pass.

When you update the application with clarity please return it appears to have value - I just don't understand why I need it or how to use it.

It doesn't recognize my screen resolution and I see only part of the recorded screen.
It also doesn't record audio.
Maybe I should modify some settings, but I don't know what settings.
This software was given away on October 18, 2015 with the same version number, but on developer's website I/you can see it was updated.

It's a bit difficult to find this particular version at, PC WinSoft's site. However, there seems to be a review at a newer version at, Softpedia - included a 50% off "ticket" ;o)

Tyr to find Ocam 10.0 (update versions include advertising panel).

It is the simplest free program with a really clean interface i found for screen vidéo capture. And really able to catch thé sound from the inside of the PC. Refuse update (locked for me with free firewall Tinywall )

For Windows 7, you can add free mp4 codec pack from Microsoft. These codecs are included in Windows 10.

Hi, i could download, but how to use. There is no step by step procedure of how to use it. It shows the menu. But how to, what it capture, and how should one use it as web cam are not given properly and so no useful comment could be given . The tutorials lacks the inducement of using it. It just gives a picture of trial volume with black arrows around it and settings menu.
Why one should use and how to use are the main items that one look forward in softwares.
Just installing and then uninstalling without knowing how to.
I do not see any other gotd software without minimum about the software in the Give way page

Good idea. but...
1. Recognized only one of two tried USB cams,
2. Overloaded CPU upto 50%, so that video stambled (CPU=single core Celeron 1.8 Gh).
3. No separet button for record audio only.

First-glane conclusion: will need long pre-treaming and ajustment, with no positive result guaranteed.

On opening a minimalistic interface is presented. Above it a window showing my desktop and when my WebCam is on and connected the output appeared in this small window.
Possibly having a senior moment, but for the life of me could not understand how to use the program properly.

I thought I'd better look at the help file, but I couldn't find one. Went to the program's website and there's no obvious signs of help.
In desperation I clicked on all sorts of things there and then I clicked on Video and at last some information showing how to use the program.

The most confusing program I've seen in a long time, having said that it does appear to have some potential and it is obvious a considerable amount of work has gone into its development.

Certainly worth giving the program some consideration as it has a number of useful features. So if you go to the link for the program and then look in Video you'll get an idea of what it can do and how to use it.

If you need a screen capture program give it a go, my experience could be because my brain has gone into idiot mode. :-)

Sadly enough doesn't work.

It registers and starts up fine but doesn't want to broadcast anything else but a frozen desktop with a moving mouse cursor, that's highly unusable if you want to stream your desktop in Hangouts.

If it maters I'm using Win 10, 64 bit.
