ExtFS for Mac® 8.0 is a low-level file system driver which lets you work with Linux files on your Mac OS X without any hassle. With ExtFS for Mac 8.0 you are able to store and create files greater than 4 GB and have full read and write access to Linux-formatted partitions.
Easily redistribute disk space between Windows and MacOS! Apple’s Boot Camp does a good job at eliminating communication problems between MS Windows and Mac OS X, until you come across the need to reallocate some free hard disk space. To solve this problem, Paragon Software developed CampTune.
The only snapshot based backup solution for comprehensive protection of both data & systems! Easily create an exact point-in-time copy of your data & system, and when a disaster strikes - get everything back in minutes.
Those Mac users that missed this promotion can google for 'macfuse ntfs' to find freeware that does basically the same thing.

Here's Paragon's official response to my support ticket. Anyone know where I can get version 87.0 of their product? (the 8.0 trial version rejects my reg/sn then hangs at the Continue button after telling it to be a trial).

thank you for your interest in Paragon products! We will be happy if you decide to use our tools for your business.
NTFS for Mac 87.0 fully functional trial is always available at our web-site
http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/
No need to wait for any special offers to try it :-)
So, please download trial version from our web site and try to install it. You won't need to enter serial number, just install it as trial version. Will it install? Will you get the same greyed out "install" button?

Thank you for offer.
I tried. After selecting the installation destination, the install button stays inactive and installation does not go ahead.
I uninstalled ver 6 I had in the drive and then tried again. Same result.
Now I have no NTFS for Mac OS X.
OS X 10.4.11/PPC G4/1GB

@Dan C
I have the same problem -- after entering all the information, the "Install" button is greyed out and non-functional, so I can't install it. Too bad, it looked promising, but if it won't install, it's useless...

After installation and restart my macbook pro with Snow Leopard (X86) booted up with desktop screen with no desktop icons and top menu bar grayed out, dock animation work but can not open any application or even finder. The macbook pro become completely unusable. Beware of this software and backup before you install this crap.

I had no problems with the installer. It installed fine.
The installer does require a user registration on their web site to get a "Product Key" and "Serial Number" required for install completion.

Marko,
Linux uses 'extfs' and Windows uses 'ntfs' so search paragon's website for those keywords, e.g. "extfs for windows".

Not sure what Larry is talking about - the product says it supports g4/g5/x86, tiger thru SL.
OTOH, I've got the installer running and it's stuck, giving me a dimmed Install button.
Not so sure of this product's quality, if the installer is this buggy.

Linux/Win users need to search for "NTFS and Linux" or "extfs and Linux" at the paragon site.

While trying to install ntfs file reader/writer on my Mac OSX 6.6, the installer calls for a "null disc." Nothing I've tried does any good. What should I do? What is a null disc?
Thanks.

I wonder... if there is something similar for Linux/Win users?

For those of you who don't run an Intel Mac don't give the package a thumbs down just because it does not apply to you. The ranking should reflect the opinion of those who can use the package.
This is an outstanding offering to have bi-directional file read/write capability to those of us who run Parallels/Win XP on an Intel Mac.
Quality company, exceptional software.
As such, I suspect it would have a 95% thumbs-up from those who have a system that can utilize both at once.
Thanks very much to GOTD for the occasional consideration for Mac users and in this case for those who run both Mac and Windows.
