I am wondering whether this program was tested. I get error messages telling me that the program looks for the file MyFilmKiosk.mfk2 and for downloaded files in my Documents folder. The former is located not in Documents but in a Data folder.

To everybody that did not manage to install and try My Film Kiosk, please do as follows:

1.- Download My Film Kiosk directly from our page (www.myfilmkiosk.com).
2.- Install the application.
3.- Register as a user.
4.- Contact our support saying you come from GODT and we will give you a free key before your 30-trial is over.

Partly worked for me. Followed the steps mentioned in comment#30 and was able to download few youtube videos, in fact within seconds. The downloads are not the best resolution though. They are poorer quality as compared to downloading sites (free) like savefrom.net. But this works very quickly, does not whine and did the job. Something is better than nothing.

EA Collector Software must have very high confidence in its software, "My Film Kiosk" It is not even asking for user's email address to activate the software while installing the software to my PC.

What's the point in having a supported sites page if those sites don't work (UKTVplay)

I had no problems downloading and installing the software and its already preregistered so no registration hassles.

I read the comments prior to trying to download any YouTube videos so I followed steps in comment #30 and had no issues. I’ve only downloaded a few YouTube video tutorials and so far I am very pleased at the ease and speed they downloaded and the ease of use of the software.

The only thing I would suggest to change so far (besides fixing the issues addressed in #30) is I wish it was easier to choose the default download locations and the ability to move the video files later. On the default screen I don’t see the video file location listed, but maybe I haven’t looked hard enough.

The program has some interesting functions, but for me it's useless and it fails because don't inform the location / address where the video is stored on the computer so that the user could select certain video in the program and then access it to perform the procedures he may want to do with the video.

Do I have to sign up as a "new user" from the top Menu to download the media art and titles?

I thought this was already registered software for GAOTD.

Confusing.

Will this download form services I pay for such as Netflix and Amazon Prime like PlayOn Cloud?

I see that many of you are not able to use the YouTube search and you are getting only a blank page when looking for a video. We are investigating the issue and we hope to have a solution soon. Please retry tomorrow.

An alternative way of downloading from YouTube is as follows:

1.- Select File -> New and choose the tab called "Web".
2.- Copy the full link from YouTube or any other site you want to download from. See the list of supported sites here https://ytdl-org.github.io/youtube-dl/supportedsites.html
3.- Paste the link into the "Web address (URL)" anb click on "Add".
4.- When requested anter the "Title" of the video and press "OK".
5.- Right-click on the new row to define where you want to save the video (Path) and the subtitle language (Subtitles) you would like to have (if available).
6.- If you select "Add to My Film Kiosk" the video will be added to your video library. Otherwise, the video will only be downloaded (no new item in your video library),
7.- Click "OK"

Very sorry for the problem. Hope the instructions above will help.

I am trying it at the moment. I have input a Web page containing about 5 different videos (not YouTube). There is no (apparent) link to download the video or to get information about them.

The first video appeared on the list, but I can't see (or download) the other ones.

Question: How to download multiple videos sitting on one single Web page?
That would help a lot!

Leave feedback on GOTD page seems to not work for me...

Some bugs found:
1. New|YouTube searches nothing. Tools|Update Download Engine says it's unneccesary and doesn't help.
2. No preview while selecting skins.
3. Menu Bar and Main Bar can be moved up/down but can't be moved one NEXT TO another (in one line).
4. New|YouTube|If available, download subtitles - only one to select but I wish to download in my home language, and - if doesn't exist / or both - in English.

Owner of My Film Kiosk: I understand no upgrades but as you fix problems within program are Free Updates allowed??? Also if we lose program for any reason are we allowed to reinstall if we register it today??? thank you....Cynthia

Installed it and played with it for a while. Everything worked perfect. I downloaded a couple videos from YouTube and from Dailymotion successfully. Also added some video files from my hard drive to my collection. I was particularly delighted with Skip Scenes and Convert to Audio features.

I am not sure, but I think that problems started after I used Download audio option on the YouTube tab. I have successfully downloaded audio of some video from YouTube. But after that the YouTube tab stopped working. I cannot download neither videos nor audio from YouTube any more. Whenever I click the Search button the only thing I get is a small window with a progress-bar saying: " Reading Data from the Web..." which disappears very quickly (in a fraction of a second). But nothing displays in the download-window.

I have tried with Update Download Engine, but it doesn't help (it says: "The download engine is already up-to-date, it could not be updated. Your current version is 2019.09.12.1")

On the main menu bar (between Help and New User buttons) I have noticed a small red icon. When I hover the mouse pointer on it, it says "Download Services Off". I suppose that this icon should be green. But (although I am not quite sure, because I haven't paid attention in the beginning) I could swear that it was red all the time (I mean, while the program worked properly at the beginning). After all, despite this icon is red now, and says "Download Services Off", I still can download videos from other supported sites. But not from YouTube. Pretty weird, isn't it?

As I am unable to find a way to turn that red icon green, I would appreciate if someone could tell me what services this program has installed and can we find them in the Services console to turn them on manually.

File-New, YouTube selected, Text-pink panther, Search. Result, nothing. Running Windows 10, desktop computer.

No apparent way to add a specific YouTube link. It also doesn't seem to be possible to search for a specific uploader.

Along with my experience and those of many others on here I feel this bit of software has been released far too early as it still has many bugs to sort.

Less than half those making ANY comment have succeeded with my Film Kiosk 3 (Hate to imagine how poor 1& 2 were)

I am going to remove my copy and will look forward to version 4.0.

Today its thanks - but NO thanks. I have wasted enough of my time.

When I read the description, I thought this might be something worth having a look at. After requesting the download link which took nearly 40 minutes to arrive, I downloaded and installed the software, so far so good ... Now for the fun bit (not!) I tried to upgrade the download manager but I seemingly had the latest version, again so far so good ... The program opened as is should have, looking good, I thought, then it vanished from my screen. Rebooted the PC opened the program again and attempted open some of the various options .... Nothing, not a thing the program just refused to respond to any commands. Decided to uninstall and try again and again the installation went well ad after that I could open the various options but no matter what I entered or tried to do the program looked as if it was trying to do something but was unable to complete the task. Shame it didn't live up to it's own hype never mind work, assigned to the ever increasing list of useless, defective and busted software offered by GOTD.

Nothing happens when I clic search!

Props to you developer, program for the most part worked for me, even though it is missing some hot video/audio, converting, more modern useful features.
Still finally a video program with at least some unique options, mostly all downloaders/converters we see on here, do mostly all have the same old standard common options.
Installed easily without issues. Like the quick Help Search box very useful. This program suprisingly was even able to download from a few other Normally hard to download websites.

Using the help box was able to test download a youtube video,but could not find the downloaded video in download manager or Anywhere else in program, but only on my pc drive, I could see it only when while downloading, could not find completed Downloads anywhere in program, but not a big issue . All sites tested downloaded fairly quickly.

**Also tested the mostly desired option To Skip scenes or parts of video, even with the Help box, this option is very basic & not really user friendly,
Could not get to work, could not find any easy quick In/Out points , or time code to simply select parts to skip.
I personally would prefer a more modern version of this option, like multi parts Video Trimmer,
To simply quickly select In/Out points , or time code select of parts to skip, then saved convert trimmed video or audio file to have on drive as desired for use anytime. ( A full video/audio Converter added would be great).

The built in media player, is also a bit too basic these days, looks like it only plays 1 video at a time,
Could not get player even play any of my standard Saved HD M3U or M3U8 playlist Videos. Needs to be more playlist friendly.

***Lastly, a few suggestions to make this even better, most unique All in One program,
if could have a full Video trimmer, converter and hot option to quickly remove vulgar or bad or offensive words, or ugly Logo do not want  in videos and audio, along with Full Media Player, with most popular video playlists crossfading/mixing , Visualization options, and any video/audio enhancement filters. Any of these improvements would be great.

This Program would be hands down, one of the best, most unique Media player program on the market online, as I have tried, or checked into mostly all similar programs  online.

Again, great concept, hope to follow this project for updates, hope to be my fav new program.

Please keep improving and keep up the great work on this project!

Installed and registered successfully, rebooted clicked search YouTube, Metallica, nothing comes up, tried searching anything, the list is empty, tried updating it, up to date, uninstalled. (win 10 home 64 bit)

Running W7 on a pretty quick machine.
Downloaded OK without turning AVast off.

'My Current download engine is up to date or it could not be updated!'
Thats the message that I get when I try to resolve the issue of not downloading.

When first run the search commences and takes a while but displays no titles.
Next time I hit search the 'Search' bar appears for 2 secs and disappears - then nothing.
Close and repeat and same every time.

Anyone else getting that?

Downloaded onto Win 10 in about 90 seconds following the Readme instructions.


It works very well and in no time at all I had my first three videos (two from You Tube and one independent) stored on the program. Seems incredibly easy to me.

For about 10 years GOTD used to be my first stop every morning now I can't remember the last time you offered something of interest to me. This latest has the most negative comments I can remember! I sure don't put any credibility in the 'user ratings' thumbs up or down anymore.

It worked - once!
I succeded downloading one youtube video, and converting it to mp3.
Yaiii ! ! !

The next several times I tried, I just got a ½ a second window saying like "Reading data from the web...." and then it disappeares.
= Nothing in the download-window!

Any help?

I dont use windows XP anymore so this UI design that looks like windows XP is outdated. And I've been using youtube-dl python script program to download youtube videos so this program is redundant to install in my machine.

Installed.... activated.... now a screen pops up... wants user name and password.....

txt file says its preactivated .... what's the deal?

I do not see any way to have this software see my existing video files - it does not seem to have any feature that scans my storage to make a list of videos found.

Also, the help is a mess, full of dll errors and no images.

Can this application download from You Tube?. Or what are the sites that it can download from ?.

This is the first I still have not seen anyone voting no for a giveaway app! Either the negative voters are away from screen either this app is excellent!
