iClone Standard looks more tasty than it actually can be experienced. To me it is less than Blender which is "free forever". Someone also hinted that you need to use iClones own models, unless you buy more to the program. This is true! When you read the small notes, you find "not for commercial use", which pretty much makes the software a toy. To me it is difficult to learn, the UI are old and messy and I prefer Blender in 3D but, 2D Opentoonz in "easy".

I cannot install the program. I run the setup file as an administrator, but nothing happens. I have disabled my iobit malware fighter.

When trying to download the zip file. Every time it gets to 260 mb of 900+ mb it starts all over again. Is I'm doing something wrong?

A fair warning: it seems that you cannot import your own models into iClone, unless you buy 3DXchange, separately. That makes the software largely, if not entirely, useless for purposes other than playing around with stock object library.

This program is actually quite good. Surprisingly good.
I had the previous version from last years GOTD.
The only possible negative, which is for all these types of programs, is the learning curve.

Thanks GOTD..in order to bypass the dreaded anti-virus fiasco my comp does whenever I want to install a GOTD program, I just went to the "Homepage" shown and followed through the RealIlusion prompts..installed and registered flawlessly on a Win 10 64 bit machine.

downloaded in 6 minutes, unzipped, followed registration instructions...got blank screens at membership sign-up, so didn't get licence code. End of story. Permanently deleted.

The server must have speeded up as it only took 9 minutes to download for me.

Managed to download (took 40 minutes on a fast - 70mbs - connection). Read the ReadMe ; went to the page - https://www.reallusion.com/event/iC6Standard/GOTD.html - to get the Activation code; clicked on the Become a RealIllusion Member link as instructed. Took me to a blank page... Now what? I started the installation process, but it's asking me for the serial key.

Installation instructions are a bit convoluted. At what point will we have option to install "resource pack"? Can I download it separately now? Need link.
(I ask because I can download the initial .zip files much faster at work (now) than I can later at home. I'll be installing at home and I don't want to find that the "resource pack" is huge. Can I download it separately now?)

Download was slow but without bumps. Once I obtained a license key, installation went fine. The program crashes when I try to launch it, unless I go into iClone Graphics Mode Selection (under Program Files\Reallusion) and downgrade from DirectX 11 to 9. I've got a decent graphics card, so not sure why this is, but I'm then informed that a number of features won't be available.
The interface is very cryptic, but I suppose an animation package would require some complexity. Learning curve looks very steep. Honestly, I doubt I'll keep this one.

Great giveaway. Downloaded, within minutes and the resource pack also only took about 5 mins.
Installed on Windows 7 Ultimate without problems and registered without problems.

The current version is 7 which has a retail price of U$199. I'm not clear if this version, 6, is upgradable to 7 for a discount or if you pay the U$50 for this and then another U$199 if you wish 7 later on. I watched the video for 7 and it's beyond impressive. I wish I had the talent to use such a program, but I'm artistically retarded. It's a great program for those who can use it, though.

Very fast download (must have got in early, only a couple of minutes!) and installed and registered with no problem.
Running on 64-bit & Windows 8.1.
Only had a little play but looks like a very extensive program for numerous animation ideas.
Also downloaded a very extensive add on pack, as recommended during the install. This is even larger than the program, so those who are having trouble with slow download - beware!

Giveaway page came with a scripting error, don't know if that is the reason I cannot get a serial number.
A recent Giveaway wouldn't install but when I went to the vendor's site it installed perfectly.

Looking to trying this if it ever downloads. I've got a fast internet connection but this is only downloading at around 317 Kbs with a file size of 948Mb it will just short of an hour to download, hope it's worth the wait.
