Installed without problem on a Win 7 64 machine and am very pleased with the programme.
Good options for creating shapes and and adding icons and images to your design, the event options are also very handy.
but the best part is ability to export as html5, something we need these days.

Well, good luck to any prospective customer willing to spend 99 bucks on a product for which its developer can't even be bothered to provide the correct user manual . .
And congratulations to FLDraw for being that developer, the first I've ever seen on GOTD to actually 'fess up that yes, the help file for this program (Interactive Image Creator) is largely that for a different program (Floor Plan Software).
Developers too lazy to spend time on user needs deserve all they get -- or don't get, cashwise -- when potential customers decide they're not going to waste their own time on downloading and trying the product.
Rather than a Floor Plan, FLDraw might instead try drawing up a Business Plan for its own use because the way this 'Interactive Image Creator' is being touted to potential customers is as self-defeating as it gets.

Installed and works on Win 7 Pro 64-bit. For test added a caption to a photo of my cat. Will try other stuff later (perhaps when the proper documentation is available).

Some problems with published interactive images using invisible polygons to define hotspots, if the page is zoomed to anything other than 100% the hotspots do not scale up their positions to keep aligned with the zoomed underlying image. There seems to be a scroll wheel zoom function built into the viewer.js that maintains the hotspot alignment which I suppose is a work-around for the bug with system controlled zooming.
Also if one hotspot has a click event and that is clicked, one can mouse around ad infinitum and no mouse over events in other hotspots will be detected until the previous click event is cleared by clicking an object or hotspot that has click event set to "none".

No way to set regional area without having a stupid icon so no way to set up Easter egg like images. it has the tool for it it just does not work. good potential but rather archaic user interface.
Save | Cancel
chris varga, if you define the area to be moused over or clicked or both as a polygon or other shape you can set the fill opacity to 0 to make it invisible... I also untick the outline... requires lots of experimentation but it does work... not figured out how to incorporate the interactive images into a wordpress page yet, but that's to be expected when there is no reliable documentation specific to this program.
Save | Cancel
you can use an invisible polygon shape for creating Easter egg like images and don't need to use an icon for this purpose

I've played with other home plan software, drag and drop rooms, windows, doors. This one stinks, it gives you basic shapes that you can find on MSPaint. I might as well draw on a piece of paper.
Save | Cancel
This is not a home plan software, we have a seperate software for creating home plans,
it has all of the features required for creating home plans just like other home plan softwares, plus ability to make
interactive home plans, something you can't find in other home plan softwares,
also the created home plans are HTML5 based and not PDF or static images

Thank you for response BUT you need to change your User Guide for Interactive Image Creator on your site for in truth it is for your floor plan program. I spent a lot of time already reading all of it to see what it will do only to find out most of it is not in this program I think you just copied the other programs manual and didn't bother to eliminate what wasn't in this program. Therefore I really don't know what it will do since the provided manual is not for this program...well parts of it are but I don't have time to go back and forth guessing. Would have liked this but not worth it now. Take a little time to put in an accurate manual and examples...you'll have more customers than unhappy ones. Thank you anyway but deleting it.

Installation took longer than expected on Windows 7 Pro and no movement on the installation bar until completed. Slow to respond to some menu items but works well for use on a web site I am exapnding to include informational images http://www.bmpg.org.uk; looking forward to getting stuck in.

Where is the icon in tool bar for Object Library Window? Went to site and found User Manual but noticed that it had a lot more Icons for things we didn't get in this download. Is this just a sample of the full program?????

No, the Object library window is in our other software: FLDraw Floor Plan Software,
this is a fully functional version of Interactive Image Creator.

I tried the giveawayoftheday, lite, and trial versions and none of them display the complete toolbar (as shown in the user guide). Is there another package to install to obtain files needed to draw fences, etc., instead of just the base shape?

Anvi smart Defender warned for a malicious program. Installed program after disabling Anvi Smart Defender but then it was removed by the Zemana Antilogger (Given by Give Away of the Day recently) when trying to run. Disabled Zemana Antilogger and ran the program. Worked fine but as soon as Zemana Antilogger was turned back on, it removed the program again form the computer. Is it a malicious program?

Primitive.
Strictly no commercial license is not an issue today since the results this software spit out cannot be used commercially anyway, provided you wouldn't want to present a 5-grader's school project to your clients.
Like yesterday's giveaway, the price tag has the decimal point placed two digits too far to the right, in error I assume.

I wonder what happens to the images I create if I decide to not buy the product. Will those disappear from my websites?
I've read through the user guide which is detailed. This program seems oriented toward creating floor plans and similar type creatives. My use would be solely for markup and action items on maps and other images so I'm not sure about this program for me.
Save | Cancel
No they will not disappear from your website, of course not, this edition (interactive image creator) is more about markup things instead of creating floor plans

FLDraw, The license says for noncommercial use. That's a non-starter for me and I'm sure many who want to try this software.

Installation was a breeze (for a change), but found this to a pretty bare boned offer. There are literally dozens of free floor plan programs available that do a lot more than this one, without the hassle of having to find a site to get few instructions/help files. Check here for just a few:

Thanks for the offer (and ESPECIALLY the easy installation!) but no thanks. Uninstalled.

Hey Ootje,
Thanks for taking the time to post those! Can the interactive "maps" be embedded in the page with out the FLD control panel attached, i.e., zoom buttons, file menu, etc.? (In your examples, that would be only the face.)

Robert Garofalo,
It's quite simpel to change that. You don't need the program.
Just use Notepad to open the HTML-file and change
control:'all buttons' to control: 'none'

And save it, perhaps under a diffferent name as html..

This is apparently the lite/free version as many of the features (walls and fences, dimensions, etc.) are missing. It is NOT the $99.00 version advertised here.
Save | Cancel
No, this is not a lite version, the floor plan software is another software that has some other options like adding walls, fences,... , and it's obvious there's no need to have them in a webpage (interactive image) creator software, I mean this one that's free today,
this software is fully functional with all features required for creating interactive images (and not floor plans)
and it is a free version of the $99.00 software with all features included

John Smith, What makes you think that?

They are clearly different files from the MD5 hashes! They should apear similar since the lite version states FLDraw Lite is the free edition (it's free for up to 5 projects):
Walls and Fences, dimensions etc sound more like the floor plan software not the product given here... of course I could be wrong... but...

Been trying to give the younger members of the family an idea of what my grandmother's old two up two down Lancashire house was like.
I have images of the old slab sandstone sink, cast iron cooking range etc.
Created a drawing of the two rooms with the above in position; thought I would hide them which I did and then I published.
Absolutely nothing appeared to happen, no messages no indication of where it would be saved.
The program has lots of potential speaking as a developer I would say it's in its alpha stage.
Far too few shapes, no help file and not in the least intuitive in its use.
A shame as I could really have used this program but frankly in its present form found it unusable.

It's a cute little application but it sure as he_l Isn't worth $99.To be honest I wouldn't pay anything for this app. There are 100's of programs out there that do the same thing and more and they're free. To find them just google free photo editors.
Now, if you could adjust the opacity of the added photo's or expand the kind of shapes you can add then we're talking a different game.

Interesting, unique (and potentially useful) tool. But, I very much agree with Tony, Paul and Stu below: "Developers should include a sample completed project with guidelines showing how to go from a blank screen to the completed project." Plus, maybe some YouTube videos.

Interesting, yes, but not unique.
In fact, Gotd gave away an identical tool here called, guess what, "Interactive Image Creator" (version 5.8, made by iMapBuilder) a year or so ago. So similar is it that one could use the word identical, and be pardoned for harbouring suspicions.

Easy install and run on Windows 8.1. Seems to run rather slowly when opening menu items, probably the use of Flash.
Looking at the help on the website I seem to be missing about half of the items which should be on the toolbar; can't find any way of adding items - thought maybe in the view menu. Could be useful for a couple of projects if I can get it to run properly.

Downloaded and installed OK.
Tried to do something useful but could not after about 10 minutes of playing with it.
Developers should include a sample completed project with guidelines showing how to go from a blank screen to the completed project.
I downloaded the application expecting to be able to create a layout in 5 minutes. After 10 minutes I had a few shapes I could have created in PowerPoint in 2 minutes.
Include the basic objects needed to create a basic layout easily accessible to a new user.
For some reason, I remember using a similar application over 10 years ago.

A webdesign bug report for the devlopers:
In the documentation sub-site at http://www.fldraw.com/interactive_map/help1/contents.html
you have an error in the widget that shows where you are in the documentation heirachy the "User Guide" link is "http://www.fldraw.com/floorplan/help/contents.html" instead of the FLDraw User Guide home link of "http://www.fldraw.com/interactive_map/help1/contents.html"
You have similar flaw in your documentation for floor plan software plugin too.
I suspect you generated the floor plan documentation template first then edited a copies of it to produce the other products documentation but forgot to correct the widget to correctly point back to the respective products user guide. HTH

To be honest the instructions are rather lacking. For example this from the publish dialogue instructions
Specifies whether or not to reset the plan's initial position to (x:0, y:0)
Specifies whether or not to reset the plan's initial zoom factor to 100%
Interactive Image Software - Publish Dialog Box
Specifies whether or not to add viewer.js to your files list.
If you uncheck it, then you have to edit the HTML code and set the relative path of the viewer.js file manually.
(It's useful when you want to have a single copy of viewer.js on your website, that's better for performance and
bandwidth usage, and also makes it easier to update the veiwer.)
Maybe it's me being thick, but I would have liked a little more than that. That's the sort of geeky instructions that usually accompany free commons license software.
Save | Cancel
I concour with Stu. The only file installed is the FLDraw.exe add to that the shortcut to launch it and the uninstall entry in program and features/add remove programs control panel applet.
Untested but you should be able to use this portably on a USB stick it runs extracted from the Setup.msi and writes no files to its folder it was extracted to and does not retain layout changes from one session to the next so is unlikely to save the grid or windows settings anywhere... I'll keep it just because of its potential use in some of the projects I tend to get thrust upon me and it's not an intrusive piece of software that in anyway messes with the configuration of my system and takes up just under 25Mbyte of space. The developers really should create some demo videos and a help file that is part of the program and not hidden away on their website with no easy to find link to it in the program! The documentation is at http://www.fldraw.com/interactive_map/help1/contents.html
Is this a competition to find the help files? Do I win a prize?
Personally I find it a sad day for the giveaway of the day project when the qualifications of a keeper or good program are that it "Downloads and Installs effortless" and the program runs! The easy install is only due to the lack of GAOTD setup.gcd wrapper and the fact that the install invloved merely extracting one file to a program files folder and create a shortcut in a start menu programs folder and add an unistall entry...

The free Lite license is the most permissive ---see the additional line on the web site.
I was trying to find screenshots, there was only some kind of documents which we'll call help center. Sure, there are screenshots. But the help center is not helping, on the contrary. One page (for this GOTD) refers to a version 3.10, the other (for another software) to version 3.20, links are different but their contents look identical. Which product they refer to: the "Interactive Image Software", or the "Floor Plan Software"? With and without javascript, I cannot even open both pages at the same time for comparison. It's one or the other. All that thing is so confusing, it's hard to be clear about this mess without adding to the confusion since I'm not sure I got it right in the first place.

Stu, you should have taken a look at their website! I came across a user guide while I was researching the program earlier; it can be found at:
http://www.fldraw.com/interactive_map/help1/contents.html
And although this company really seems to have something against screen-shots (barely any on the entire website), the guide itself appears to be fairly thorough.

Stu, I'm with you...that's exactly what I was going to write!
I did play around with it for a few minutes, but since I have no need for "interactive" imagery I decided to get rid of it. There was no help available from within the program.

Mike, but the developer could have, should have also compiled those pages into a CHM help file and provided it WITH the program! It is supposed to be a commercial program not a bedroom developers hobby project!

George, since you are not paying today, then you should be OK with the fact there is no included user guide.
Save | Cancel
harvey, We are not paying because we are evaluating a program for the developers at no cost to them and supplying valuable feedback for them to improve their commercial software so they might get more sales of a polished program.
How easy it is to install, how easy to find a help file or if a help file is included is just as important as how easy it is to use the program. Then we must decide just how useful the program would be to the intended customers.
We are not here to collect free software but here to help developers refine their software.
Some developers use the site as an advert for their other software and some user use the site for a place to get free software but that is not what the site is really for.

Quick easy install with no registration process which makes a nice change. There is no help file but if you go to the developers site there is documentation there that shows you what's what. I've messed about with this but haven't taken the time to read the documentation but it looks like it could have it's uses.
Running on Win 8.1 no problem.

A simple installation and that's where simple ends.
No help included in the download; you have to go to their website and look under documentation, even then I was left very confused as there are so few objects under insert.
It does look I even create your own objects and save them but I'm absolutely at a loss as to why I would want to pay $99 for the program.
I have been looking for a simple program to do some drawing work and it is simple to use, but for the life of me can't find anything regarding drawing dimensions.
Think we need some comments by experienced users.
