Fast HTML Checker 3.0 was available as a giveaway on May 6, 2017!
A tool used for searching sites for HTML5 and CSS errors. It begins checking from the starting page and goes through all pages one by one until it checks all pages on the site. If Fast HTML Checker finds an error, it shows its position in the document and the error reason. Fast HTML Checker includes a feature-rich web site crawler, which supports different user authentication types such as SSL certificate and form login.

Thanks for the help. I did get it to save the generated report by manually creating a file first. Seems like an opportunity for improvement, either give notice the file does not exist, or even better yet offer to create it. Was able to see in that report a description or the errors. I'll work with the program more and see how well it does on errors.

Program info says: "A tool used for searching sites for HTML5 and CSS errors". But. in the Site Options it only says that HTTP 1.1 is the version used.

I did not get a registered copy; it is only good for 30 days...

RLT, Have you followed the steps in Readme to register the copy?

Alexa Bennett, yes I did read the info that came with the program.
It ask you to: Enter the key into the field 'Your activation code'--> Press 'Online Activation'
When you do this, it does NOT register the program.

Why would I ever want to check the HTML of a website I am visiting?

Typically, who needs and uses this s/w?

webeye, People who develop websites might find it useful. Just because something is of no interest to you doesn't mean it's of no interest to other people.

Found I can view report just not save it yet. All files received code 200 OK, Says in various red, black & green text there are 6 warnings and 100+ markup errors, but offers no insight into the nature or which lines are of concern. Not very helpful or promising so far.

Installed quickly on i7 win 8 laptop. Ran registration twice because it was hard to tell if registered after advised program restart. Ran scan with default choices. However trying to generate report fails. Left the defaults, HAD to choose a file name to save report. Message then comes up: Failed to Generate the Report. Clicking OK results in this message: can't open file 'mine.txt' (error 5: access is denied). Tried a couple different names. Parking program pending developer response, will uninstall tomorrow if none. Thanks GAOTD.

Well, it downloads OK, and despite taking an age to install, it does get there in the end.
In operation, it crawls the site fairly quickly, and the HTML* validation is fairly good. It is more picky than the W3C checker, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
However, the CSS validation is a bit rubbish. It complains "The construction is followed by an unexpected character." whenever it finds a /* css comment */ and it puts out "A '}' character expected." errors for no apparent reason. I can't see why, and nor can the W3C CSS validator.
Its usability is poor. To generate a report after checking a site requires no less than seven mouse clicks.
Overall, it is almost worth having for free. But it needs the CSS validation bugs fixed or it will send users on wildgoose chases.
*I only tested with HTML5
