I had no problem downloading, installing or registering Dot11Expert Pro. Two possible cons: the Dot11 program is showing two 5G channels, and my wireless LAN utility shows only one 5G channel. Also, Dot11 has my C2600 router on channel 189 and my PC shows channel 153. Just to be fair to KC Softwares, I'll poke around and see if my Guest Network is still broadcasting. It was set up over a year ago with SSID hidden and who knows, eh?

It seems that Dot11Expert Ultimate WiFi tool ultimately does NOTHING! Installed on Win XP machine, installed and registered just fine. Nothing shown or listed in any field. No indications of action or functionality. No instructions in the ReadMe file or the website. A waste of time!

I don't understand why it's only looking for WLAN, instead of a combined solution for LAN aswell but as simple as it looks to me, i'm probably better off with Windows integrated Ethernet Status, Network Connection Details and free SG TCP Optimizer.

Worthless. Didn't recognize or display anything. Revo to the rescue.

Does not show Networks. The lower left hand screen just keeps on flashing. I can not see any network info. There is no graph displayed. I tried running as Administrator with no help. Tried running in Debug mode, no help. I decided to uninstall. Thanks anyway Giveawayoftheday.

Hmm ... no log or report of "deep statistics", no sorting by columns, no action can be taken by clicking on anything ( like enable / disable card, connect / disconnect network ).
Expert Win Toolbox that can't actually DO anything?
Nice quick viewer, but not much of a tool for anything.
Are you planning on adding control and reporting capabilities to v2?
Thanks.

another bug... I downloaded the ZIP of this from KCSoftware site which is supposed to be the portable build but it is not... it stores its settings file and log to %APPDATA%\KC Softwares\dot11Expert and not in the folder the executable is run from, leaving stuff behind on the host PC which portable programs should not do.

Odd bug in this ... it lists the SSID I am connected to twice in the left hand panes network list... exactly th same details it just duplicates it for some odd reason... Also shows nothing about what variation of the 802.11n specification is currently in use and what the real capabilities are like 20MHz or 40MHz channel width and max theoretical bitrate. Or channel congestion or cross channel AP's that are within a couple of channels away from the standard best practice channel spacings of 1, 6 and 11. It has now ceased to show any other nearby AP's just the duplicates of the one I am currently connected to oh after a few mins they came back. Too inconsistent scanning results as well as lacking information and why the unnecesary attempt to upsell Dumo program with the added Drivers Update button as if it had something to do with the functionality of THIS program? Oh the other AP's have vanished again... I'd hate to be on their networks if they were really as intermittent as this program portrays them as!

TK, 2 entries might be correct. My Fritzbox does create 2 entries with the same SSID in the 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz band. I can see that in the router itself.

Nobody, if they weren't identical entries that might have been the case but this is just a 2.4GHz access point only a single SSID no guest SSID or anything fancy, no bells or whistles. I am a network engineer by trade, this definately is a bug. It is only duplicated in the left pane NOT the right pane which is where it would show different band SSID's like I can see for a neigbouring AP which exists on channels 1 and 48 while mine shows in the right pane just on channel 1 which is correct.

Why is kyle using exactly the same screenshots that was used on the very first giveaway of this back in 2016 when it was version 1.0? Has nothing changed in its functionality and look since then?

Useless for an AC speed device. No statistics for it, only A/B/G/N. Missing AC. Also the 'wireless' and 'Access Point' buttons always tell you to select a NETWORK. However since it doesn't work for AC speed it seems no choices are shown for network.
Only option is 'DEBUG' but that doesn't seem to do anything?
It could be my Network Adapter, Netgear A6200 AC one? Web site shows V1.0.0 showing AC networks.
Totally useless for me.
Registered OK using values in README for what it is worth.
DELETED now.

I was thinking it needed to have the PC rebooted to connect properly to TCP/IP? Did that, no change. But there IS a log, and it found 10 networks. Never listed any but when starting the lower left window 'flashes' many times. Since the program opens as a small height windows, suspect it was writing the network names but they NEVER appear or are able to be selected.
Also tried running as Administrator. No change.
Maybe the problem is I have 2 wireless adapters, the N Speed is disabled, but for whatever reason this program doesn't work for me on Windows 10.

IrvSP, on my Win10 wireless interface it lists a/b/g/n/ac in the 802.11 capability on the wifi adaptor it only shows the b/g Rates in the access point details not its current "n" rate and or possible "n" rates. Cannot check if it reports ac connections any better as I don't currently have that luxury.
