Not worth $200. VLC is free and doesn't require searching for DirectX drivers to make it work.

Phooey, if this works on that abortion Vista, why now XP?
There are STILL 100 MILLION XP users worldwide that will NOT change to the later MS "junk".

iwontell, Windows 10 is so far beyond XP that there is simply no comparison.

Some people may have trouble getting AV Media Player Morpher to work because of a missing dll file. Download dxmediasetup from Microsoft, run it and then try running the player morpher. It should work.

For some reason SPDIF to my receiver is not working. Pot Player plays it fine. Is there a setting somewhere I missed?

Can you trust a program that doesn't contain its necessary parts? If you need a DLL or Direct X...include it!

Your "Mad Max" demo trailer on your webpage is truncated. Not a good first impression or confidence in your organization or product. You might want to fix it.

3 attempts to install, kept getting an error code that a dll file was missing, windows 10

Reply   |   Comment by Richard Anderson  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Richard Anderson,
Go to Microsoft and download DirectX (dxwebsetup.exe), install, and then this program should start. Open the shopping cart (top right) and put in key from read me. Then turn your anti-virus back on

Reply   |   Comment by Allen Shoudy  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Richard Anderson, if a file is missing on the first download attempt it is likely to continue to be missing in subsequent downloads.

In this case search for the missing DLL file, download and then install the DLL file (run the.REG file) so the registry is aware that the DLL file is on your system and the location of the DLL file is made known to the registry.

A comment above said that the DLL file is available through Microsoft. This would make Microsoft a good place to start searching.

I'd like to be able to slow down a solo guitar piece without it affecting the pitch so I can transcribe to sheet music. Can this Morpher do that?

This is a pretty good media player.. The sound is great and the picture quality is excellent but... it lacks some of the more basic functions that i look for in a player (and add a lot of application that most novice like myself don't use or need). I couldn't find a fast forward or reverse button, snapshot , video recorder or slow motion button. and it would great if it had a video down loader sense it has a video converter i would think the two go together ? I usually install more then one to get all the need applications.
thanks for the player!

Managed to download, install and activate without any problems on win 10(x64). However, it instantly crashed when I imported a .mp4 file in to the player. Tried another couple of file formats with the same result. Re-installed and tried again but same thing happened. Very disappointing, shouldn't this work straight out of the proverbial box like all good software. Uninstalled.

I've installed it very successfully, but I can not open it, I get the error message
"the code execution cannot proceed because d3dx9_43.dll was found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."
is d3dx9_43.dll needed in this program or not needed, because as I was passing through comments, there some people who got the same error message but the same d3dx9_43.dll was not found, so is that needed for the program to work or not needed?
my windows is latest windows 10.

If you are getting the "d3DX9_43.dll is missing" error, please install the updated DirectX runtime.(windows XP/Vista and 7)
Look for the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer
(dxwebsetup.exe) on Micosoft.com.

Take care.

Installed fine, try to run and all i get is a big black filled in rectangle, then another. Shows its waiting, but then just becomes 'not responding' Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it 3 times, still the same. Anyone else get this? If there isnt a fix, then it's bye bye to it, and back to open source software.

Reply   |   Comment by Bryan Gee  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

4th time of trying, and decided to just leave it with the black box. Eventually it DID load but why such a long loading time, took almost 3 minutes of staring at a black rectangle. Will keep it installed, but wont be using it much me thinks. For software that would normally ask $200, this is shoddy at best.

Downloaded the software from the link - zip file.

unzipped it....it has the software and a read file which has the key details

On installation...click on help/upgrade....and enter the key to activate.

Using Win 7 64bit OS.

Download and install went fine. W-10/64. Registration code was in readme file. No email or server hoops and hurdles. No drive by installs and no mucking with associations or other settings. Well behaved - Hooray!

I'm probably not the best person to evaluate this because I have a fast computer, mid level sound card and THX speakers. In other words, all the doo dads in the software did not make a difference that I found positive. My existing hardware and software have been mucked about for several months and I'm pretty happy with things as they are. Morpher Plus is well laid out and reminds me of MS Media Player before it got the bloats. I played around for an hour or so and didn't get lost although the controls are a bit scattered to my mind (which is also a bit scattered!) The second skin gives the appearance of a tablet and initially put me off. BUT, I came to find that skin very useful for tinkering with the effects while rolling music. I seemed to find controls more easily. The plain skin was more useful for just playing media. The soundbar effect caused some distortion in three of the four voices. BUT, not with every file I tried. The music voice was fine, but a bit artificial to my ears. X-Surround was kinda mushy and some of the presets were distorted. There are five equalizers which individually were fine and could actually pile onto each other. I just gave the editor a once over since I have better tools for that work. If not for that, this would be a very, very useful editor. Think "Audacity" without all the Linux rigamarole and learning curve. Lots of interesting effects, filters and tools. "Chewed tape" was a favorite.

Video - I only tried mp4 files. No other formats and no DVD. I liked the video. Visual acuity was better for me than VLC which is my default. I did not tinker with any of the video controls.

I'm keeping it. Another time I'll play more with the audio. For now, I'm anticipating some serious video viewing.

I tried this program now. Nice sound effects. Many settings are possible at all. However, I cannot find a slow motion nor a quick motion which are most important for a good player.

I also got a fault message o missing d3dx9_43.dll. Not the proposed reinstalling will help, because it is a missing DirectX-compound.

here you will find a possible solution:

http://www.chip.de/downloads/DirectX-Webinstaller_13006648.html

It's in German, however easy to follow: just click the blue download button and on the next page click again the blue download button. The download will start.

During the installation of the downloaded EXE, I propose to uncheck the installation of the Bing Bar.

It helped me.

Ritchi Freudenkinder, you shouldn't have to do this though. if it is 200 dollars it should work straight away. piracy exists because programs like this do not work after handing cash over. you shouldn't have to trawl the net to find a solution

Windows 7 Pro - Installed fine.
1. Found that cover art folder.jpg is not shown despite all items under Visualisation being ticked.

2.Also found that fred.m3u play list files open AV Media Player Plus but they do not show in the play list pane and no music is played. I tried to drag and drop m3u files but still not working - yes .m3u is ticked in the formats list.

Derek , I can't activate the software either / I "copy and paste" the registration Key number from the Read-me file / When I go to activate the software - i get the following message (Cannot Process Request - Internet Connection Error / Retry?) / When I try to go to the publishers website - I get a security warning that it is an unsafe site / Running Windows 10 with Google Chrome Browser

The Plus version adds to the free :
- 60 Single Effects
- 50 Special Audio Effects
- 10 Voice Morphing Effects
- 600 Ready-To-Use Presets
However, its price is actually as a limited offer $29.99 rather than $199.95.

One problem This player does not have full screen and the white boarder that stays on with it is very distracting. I think I will stick to DVD Fab media player and windows media player. At least they give you full Screen.
So for that reason I will uninstall this program.

Reply   |   Comment by Taylor  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

View >Screen Size >Full Screen leaves no borders and the controls are all right click. Kinda buried. I think most other players give you an icon that does the job.

Quote from above,
"the chosen best freeware from Audio4fun". Then why does it have an exorbitant price tag of $199.95?

For me, the always free and ever popular VLC Media player will suffice.
