I had this (or an earlier incarnation) in a previous computer, so it was good to be given another chance this time. Very speedy download and installation - and I didn't even have to close my browser to install, which was a nice change. Ashampoo programmes are usually efficient in use, once you have learned the basic idea, and they do a good job. (I haven't tried them all, so I can't speak for every variant - and there are a lot!)

YAY, thanks for this offer. I lost the last GOTD of this program to a format. Happy to see it offered today. I have nothing but good things to say about this program. It certainly is thorough in removing hard to uninstall programs efficiently and easily. I don't believe there is a program this uninstaller can't uninstall. Thanks so much!!

The current version is v9.x. Using this v7 to remove the older v6, it does NOT find all of the leftover folders/files from their OWN software! iObit Uninstaller was running in the background and found and deleted them without any issue, so don't know how much you can trust this software. I've noted that it is less thorough than Revo Uninstaller and Wise Uninstaller in the past as well. At least it's free!

Over a half hour waiting after clicking (multiple times) on the button to get license info. Nothing happens. Waste of time.

Ashampoo has been around since at least 2010. I keep my license keys in a in text in a folder, so that I can reinstall if I need to, and have the information that I need. I have an Ashampoo keys folder that goes back to then, so I know that they are reputaable. Now I bought a license for the paid version, Version 9 a few months ago, after a trial of it. I had used Revo Pro for over a decade, but I found Ashampoo 9's uninstaller to monitor installs quickly with a light footprint, and the uninstall process works quickly and completely. So, I would recommend trying it, and upgrading, when there is a good discount. These companies need to stay in business, and have people pass on their recommendations to friends and colleagues.

The previously installed version is v7.0.10, and still works as expected.

No need to re-install.

Would have been nice HAD the LICENSE information been included in the BLUE area of the giveawayoftheday announcement page for this application.

There are many old programs but they are not good because of their age.

Klaus, there is a reason for newer versions. It means that an old version is missing new and upodated functionality since Windows has evolved. Also, Uninstaller 7 currently costs $20 if anyone care to buy it! Version 9 same price.

It is common for Ashampoo to give away a older version, they use to do this when you brought a computer magazine with a CD attached to it.

Ant, The difference between 7 and 9 is miniscule....I have used both and both do the job equally as well, on the most up to date Win 10 version OS. 9's UI is different, but new does not always mean it's missing items.
BTW, you cannot buy version 7 any longer, from Ashampoo..Version 9 is on sale @21

john, antivirus programs updatable database and utilities new versions are much alike. As you've implied you would not use the older antivirus and there are reasons the company produced two newer issues of the same utility. The question to you remains valid.

Ant, Asshampoo rarely offer the version they are *currently* selling in their so called giveaways. The giveaways product home page is just for these "giveaways" and is not linked to from the product menu as although you can force the store to let you buy a version 7 license they really want you to buy the current and only advertised commercial version 9 of this product. I'd suggest that those want to compare this abandonware not really marketed or otherwise sold version with version 9 FREE https://www.ashampoo.com/uk/gbp/pin/2203/system-software/uninstaller-free

While these old versions are not linked to by the product selection links and pages you can find them using their site search for "uninstaller 7" or "uninstaller 8"

I can't find any license information anywhere - not in their license, not after installing it. It seems that it's version 7 = when their current version is version 9 and it would be yours as long as you have your current hard drive.

This one has more features than most of the other uninstallers offered here.

It does advertise Ashampoo's latest product when you open it - I'm okay with that.

I have used it to uninstall the other uninstallers I've tried - and it appears to work well :-)
