While we're talking PDF, I have a large file which is a car workshop manual. It contains may pictures and diagrams. I don't know how it was created but it is NOT searchable, keyword searches find nothing in Acrobat reader. Does anyone know of any software which I could use to make it searchable please, not necessarily freeware. Thanks.

I installed this software last night as it came out on Win 10 Pro and found that it registerred and appeared to work. I played with it this morning and have found that while it works it doesn't serve my purpose. We already have Acrobat Pro and since I installed it in a sandbox I have uninstalled it via "Reboot." I appreciate that this software may be useful for others that do not have the need nor luxury afforded by The Acrobat Product and have found it will work for their needs as they are able to use them.

Thank You Apex and GOTD for this Giveaway!

Win 2010 Sidenote - I was using Start 8 but have taken it out as many of my friends are wanting help with their Win 2010 use. So now I am learning the true MS experience and learning on the way!

Have A Good Day!

Rick

I'd hoped that it could convert
pdf to word....

It seems that it's only able to
split a pdf into individual pages -
which is sort of useful if you just
want to add something to a page....

Not useful if you want to do any
editing.

i have Nitro Pro so, probably not
going to keep this one

I have this since mid July 2015. It does have some useful features - but not all.
Apex All in One PDF Tools does not have an important function.
The ability to crop PDF. For this feature, I use another outstanding software named BRISS, which is FREE & portable. BRISS is amazing it its simplicity, speed and solid results.

I use the free PDfil program along with SDraw.exe program which comes with the free Kibre Office. PDfil is good for manipulating the pages and sdraw for making text edits. To create PDFs, I use cutepdf. With those 3 programs, I have everything from Actobat Pro that I personally need.

Disappointed.
I was expecting a viewer as well as tools handler like cauture text.
I am expecting negative votes. Honestly this program has been a waste of my time.

At the moment I'm most often using Wondershare PDF Editor...a freebie from here or there.

PDFEscape.com also works very well. I signed up for a free acct and have never been contacted by them (no junk mail). Zamzar.com is excellent for conversion....free.

ABBYY Transformer etc has been given away and I did use it but I'm pretty sure turned into a trial version--maybe I left the auto update on. Other giveaways that may not be in use...Advanced PDF, DeBenu Win PDF ed and convert, iSkysoft pdf, Aieesoft pdf2Word, Cad-Kas pdf ed pro, UniPDF, Visagesoft's eXpertPdf, PdfZilla....All worked, some better than others, most uninstalled.

How small can resize page go.? The only thing I can't do on my 6 inch phone, is read PDF files, easily. If it could make an a4 or letter size page, viewable on a large phone without horizontal scrolling, that'd be great, but I think it's an impossible task.

Had hopes that program would edit a PDF form but after trying it out it doesn't appear to be able to do an edit.Too bad as I don't have any use for the other things it will do and will remove it. Thanks anyway.

According to the description the program has a lot of promising features. Unfortunately, my security software has prevented me from installing it, which is a pity. Well, any PDF-software is almost by definition a security risk.

No-one MAKES a .pdf. You PRINT one instead as an on-screen document. There are countless free PDF printers out there; they all work in similar fashion. The one I use is Bullzip. On installation, the app adds itself to the list of printers already associated with your computer. As it isn't a 'real' printer, but a virtual one, it doesn't print out 'real' hard copies. Instead: it prints (creates) virtual copies, otherwise known as pdfs. If you then wish to print out your pdf, do so with one of your real printers. Easy peasy.

Some versions of MS Word, including 2010, have the option to "Save as" .pdf.

Tested an office program I recommended against two software PDF printers; inserted text with a hyperlink to see if it was retained when saved as PDF.
In the office program the hyperlink was functional, and in neither of the two printer programs did it work.

"No-one MAKES a .pdf. You PRINT one instead as an on-screen document."

Not technically true, as there most definitely are ways to generate PDFs other than a PDF print driver.

Installed on Windows 10 with no problems, just the usual little scrap with Norton.

Looks very comprehensive and, from a quick play, seems better than the one I paid for some time ago. I very much like the ease of use and range of tools and the ability to password files - even though a programme to remove such passwords was given away recently!

A definite keeper as I can see this being well used. Thank you GAOTD.

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 10 Pro 64 bit system. The installer installs a 32 bit EXE into the (64bit) program folder.
A clean install.

A company without name and address, with big fear of robots:
"Note 1: Replace (at) with @ and (dot) with . from above mentioned Email IDs before sending the email."

A small non resizable interface opens, no options to select, no change of language found.
You add your PDF file and choose what to do: split, merger, resize, watermark...

http://i.imgur.com/hNO811W.png

The extraction of the selected pages worked, the "Open Selected PDF" opens the PDF with the installed PDF application (Adobe...).
ATTENTION!!! If you select the same folder, it will overwrite the original PDF without warning.

A second test with a watermark should the problem of the missing preview option, you'll see only the processed result later.

Does what it claims, if you need such a tool, you can take this.
I have no use for this
Uninstalled via reboot

If I have Adobe Standard Acrobat version XI do I need this program?

Reply   |   Comment by William W Gorman Jr  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-55)

This is in no way a replacement or substitute for Acrobat Pro. It has a tiny proportion of the "tools" for PDF modification and processing found in Acrobat Professional. It is a limited subset of Acrobat Pro's capabilities. However, if you don't have Acrobat Pro and do need to do such things as combine PDF files and/or add the occasional bookmark, watermark etc., this is a cheap alternative. Unfortunately the documentation was written by someone not fluent in English. The awkward grammar and strange terminology suggest it was written by a robot translation program working from a Korean original with a bad Korean-English dictionary. If they'd hire a native English speaker to write their English help pages it might be easier to understand the instructions. Same goes for the interface and menus. Although it uses English words, it often does so in such an odd way that it's entirely unclear what a blank field is for or what a clickable option really does. Thus it requires a lot of "trial and error" clicking on everything to see what exactly happens when you do. I have been working with Acrobat pro almost every day for 15 years and I do rather understand the "command language" Acrobat uses for PDF manipulation. This program uses some Acrobat terminology but then adds its own unique pidgin dialect employing unique undefined terms.
