I downloaded AOMEI Backupper Pro 3.5 on Friday. I unzipped
the package and tried to run Setup.exe. It started the activating
process. However, about 10 seconds later, I kept getting the
following error message:

"Failed to connect. Please try again later."

This happened repeatedly, as I tried continuously but I was
unable to connect.

I also tried disabling my AV software and my firewall as well,
but to no avail. This has happened another time this year
with a GOTD offering.

I wonder if anyone else is having this issue or it's just me.

1AM this morning i saw that it was working for some so i tried it and it worked! Then i went to bed and slept well. YES! Thank you for fixing!
Weird how i got 2 UN-useful comment votes for just saying what a lot of folks were saying?! Such is life on the GOTD site these days, i guess.

Ran Setup.exe. Activation successful. But when I ran Backupper, it was an old version (1.6) presumably from an old Giveaway. Uninstalled old Backupper and reran Setup.exe. Claimed that Activation was successful but nothing was installed. Backupper Pro 3.5 was NOT installed at all.

How can I get Backupper Pro 3.5 to install?

Question: I have been using the previous version with great success. I downloaded the new version just now, but it is asking me if I want to completely uninstall the previous version in order to install the new one. Am I correct in assuming that all my previous settings will be erased if I do that? I'm reluctant to do that.... Thanks for any help.

In my opinion, this is one of the best giveaways of the year, if not the best one.

Personally, AOMEI Backupper saved me several times in the past and I am very grateful for that. I learned about them thanks to our terrific contributor Giovanni, who had often recommended this tool.

Is it OK to put this on automatic update without losing registration, and do I need to put this program on both of my laptops individually, or just one?

DL'd .zip & unzipped. Ran setup. All I got was a notification that it was "successfully activated" but no program downloaded or installed.

Do I have to delete free version first? It is in a non-standard (not C:) drive)?

Clicking on setup and after it contacts giveawayoftheday site get the message:
Windows cannot find "http//www.giveawayoftheday.com/aomei-backupper/?activate'. It then instructs me to 'type' name correctly, I did not type anthing.
Now what?
Would like to get this one though.

The service AOMEI ABNotify will not obey being disabled via Task Manager services or via CCleaner tools. It restarts itself when the computer starts up, regardless of any settings.

When I try to install, I get an error, "Setup has detected a restart required to perform the uninstall. Please restart and try again."

I've restarted several times but this still happens. So I cannot install the program. Can you help?

For some odd reason I can't seem to get the winpe boot cd to work.

Thank GOTD and AOMEI for this gem. Installed and activated without problems on my Win 10 Pro, v. 10.0.14393 Build 14393, x64-based PC. I need to buy a laptop and have on it basically the same (O/S and applications) that I have now on my desktop PC. Many laptops are offered without an O/S installed. Can a professional answer authoritatively this question: "Can AOMEI Backupper Pro 3.5 be successfully used to transfer my PC's O/S (and all applications) to a new laptop without O/S?" If yes, what steps will I have to make to achieve this goal? [In my desktop PC, I have also another internal drive, D:, on which a great number of applications reside. Will it also be possible to transfer all of them in a similar way to the new laptop, assuming its disk capacity is sufficient? Will I have to make two partitions on laptop's C: drive?]

Hi GOTD folks - Been using the Aomie Backupper for a long time and was delighted to see the pro version giveawy. This has rescued my W7 system sooooooo many times. Especially recently when I keep having my network adapter diabled for no good reason. A quick reinstall of my last image fixes the problem. Brillaint software though I couldn't recover my W8 system with the older version. Thanks GOTD :)

Thanks! I do not understand why some people can't even appreciate free software without complaining. If something don't work or could be better, address that and not how much you hate GOTD crew or the creators of these free software that is given for FREE here.

Maybe solution
Past the code once-invalid registration code.
Restarted past code-invalid registration code
Restarted and message- trial expired.
Past the code- and it registered , shows Pro and works.

Now registration was succesfull...
So go on guys.!

Have other Giveaway users been having computer problems since attempting to install Aomei Backupper Pro 3.5? Setup.exe ran on my machine and then I got a window saying, "Program Activated," and that's all I got. The program didn't install. I shut down my machine and then, a few minutes ago, tried to start my computer again. My computer wouldn't start. Windows 7 started Startup Repair and used System Restore, and then Windows started. Don't know what the cause of the problem was. Funny things are happening tonight.

It will not accept license code

I'm having the same issue, I hope you extend the registration period for this product.

Majoir problem after replacing a standard edition with the newer pro version today. The installation completes with a popup saying it has been activated. However, when I start the program I get a message that the license has expired, and the activation key in the readme file is not accepted.

still trying at 11:45 est. not working yet. going to bed. I'll uninstall in the morning if it still doesn't work (or has expired). good night all

From top of the main menu screen, "Purchase" --> "Register".
However, the provided license code results in "Invalid license code."

Something's not working. I downloaded the program this morning, and tried to install it a little while ago. I get a window saying the program is activated, and nothing else. Nothing is installed. Is this happening to others?

It forced me to uninstall my working version of Aomei Backupper and still says "Invalid license code". Thumbs down!

It's been 8 hours since your last message about resolving the issue, but the license key still doesn't work and no alternate key has been provided. I deleted my old backup program to install this -- I didn't expect it to be such a frustrating experience. Please post or email a working key to those who took the time to download the program.

What good is it to get software that the license code is INVALID???

Will we get free update when they bring out a update, to fix installing this software on a new install of windows 10 aniversay edition, as of now it cant be installed because drivers not signed, thx

For those of you who cannot register I wouldn't be too worried the free version will fulfil the needs of 99% of us.
This is part of a comment by Chris Locke (CS Computer Services) regarding the difference between the pro version and the free version, he has given some really interesting information today..
" The only advantage is command line scripting and merging backups (so differentials can be merged in with its corresponding full backup). Personally, I don't think these additions warrants upgrading".
