  • Automatically processes download errors, recovers from temporary network errors, reconnects in case of server response delays, has the ability to resume interrupted downloads due to loss of connection, network problems, computer shutdown, or unexpected power outages.
  • The standard GUI for softwares of this class makes AntDM friendly and easy to use. It has two screens – the first is more common for regular downloads and the second is using video preview for easy tracking of video downloads.
  • Has download queues, which allows you to accumulate download links at a convenient or scheduled time for the user.
  • Supports proxy-servers, HTTP and FTP file protocols and their protected versions of HTTPS and FTPS, as well as the main streaming protocols for audio and video content M3U8, MPEG-DASH, VIMEO-STREAM, firewalls, redirects, cookies, authorization, processing of audio and video content.

Also you can not integrate AntDM extensions into your browsers, but use AntDM autonomously. For example, drag and drop download links from a browser into AntDM, download any single links manually, in a list or in batch mode from a file.
  • Allows not only downloading audio files, but also extracting audio tracks from video files, converting them to the popular MP3 format and adding basic accompanying information to them.

Why am I getting my email offers the day after they are offered? Today is the 28th and I just received the 27th email. This happens almost every one of them.

The three lines at the bottom of the description all lead to pages that state:
Video unavailable
This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.

What happened?

The problem with using Ant Downloader for torrents is, it doesn't seed.

I use this program a lot, if it doesn't support Windows 11 though I won't upgrade to W11 unless I'm forced to for AM5, at which point I hope ant download manager pro is compatible.

I've also upgraded a few times using giveaway of the day

I forgot to add that even though I love this program it does have quirks. The big one is if I leave Firefox open for too long it starts running my CPU up to 90% for no reason and does not stop until I closed firefox. I read about this issue on their bug forums and tried their fix they stated but it did not help.

I'm hoping uninstalling and reinstalling a newer version will help. There are other quirks about this program too like entering in a link manually to the program instead of just using the browser extension never seems to work for downloading a video, and I always have to use the firefox browser extension instead just like video downloadhelper.

Some frustrating things but I like this program because they have a one time lifetime license that is usually cheap, unlike many companies that force you to pay a stupid subscription now.

Doesn't support Windows 11? :(

StormTrance, I had this program when I had W10 and I just installed it on W11 and it works as advertised. After you install make sure you have it integrated with all your browsers so when you want down load a video, it will automatically show up just above the video. Now select which format you want the download to be and your good to go.
Thanks GOFTD this is a fantastic program.

I've also found this the best downloader of them all. Even downloads from BBC Iplayer and I'm hoping it downloads from Britbox. Many thanks

Col, And no, it does not download from Britbox

It's much too convoluted for me. I'll stick with the easier and far superior Video Download Helper.

Reply   |   Comment by laurie askey  –  6 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

laurie askey,

It is a LITTLE complicated, but not by much. All you have to do is download the extension for ant download manager pro to firefox or something and install it like Video DownloadHelper. Video Download Helper I used since like it came out maybe ten years ago? But then they started forcing people to pay for it which is really annoying because it used to be free for everything.

So all you have to do is have ant download manager pro running as a program, and then the extension works in a web browser.

laurie askey,
I agree. Icons along the top. Icons down the left side. I hate them. Just give me menus

Hi. I have an earlier GOTD version of Ant Download Manager Pro installed on my PC (v2.4.2). Will today's version overwrite the older one upon installation? Thanks.

Reply   |   Comment by szs  –  6 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

szs, use like Revo Uninstaller if you're not sure to remove the old version, then install the new version.

But yes it should overwrite the older version if you don't want to do that. I've done that with previous versions on this website here.

The best download manager, full stop.

Great multi-browser integration, fast speeds, lots of configuration options, debrid and bittorrent support.

One of the GOTD products that I purchased a licence for.

With it being a single type use program though, I believe that if it was cheaper (just have a lifetime and do away with the yearly licence) then more people would purchase it as one of their ideal toolkit utilities.

I will continue to use the Peer2Peer program that I have been using for years to download my movies.
Said casually; If there are few or no "seeders", no other new program can download something quickly, or slow!

Tony morris, What program do you use?

Reply   |   Comment by Andrew  –  6 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+17)

Andrew, Qbittorrent is one I use, open source and search capable, been using it for years.

Reply   |   Comment by Collins  –  6 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-2)

Andrew, Frostwire is the answer!

Reply   |   Comment by Tony Morris  –  6 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Andrew,

Tony must be talking about a Torrent client (of which there are many that work well).

Reply   |   Comment by TJ  –  6 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-2)

Andrew, The program is called Frostwire and is the successor to Limewire that has to stop from an American judge, (is claimed ??).

Reply   |   Comment by Tony Morris  –  6 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+9)

Andrew, he is talking about a torrent client. Any torrent client can download “peer-to-peer”.

Ant downloader has much wider functionality (downloading torrents is just one of them).

In simple words- if a torrent client is a “rifle”, then Ant Downloader is a “ machine gun”.

Andrew, Yea people who torrent used to use Utorrent for decades until they added adware and terrible stuff to the program, now everyone uses Qbittorrent instead because it's what Utorrent used to be.
