I still think my comment from the previous December giveaway may be valid: That the outdated WinPcap should be replaced by its supported successor Npcap.

I try to explain.
Adobe Flash Player is almost dead, but Firefox allows it to load for some time.
Firefox does not pass video links that are intended for Adobe Flash Player to own addons. The extension cannot capture these links.
WPCap requires for this. That it allows to Firefox addon to intercept HTTP video links intended for Adobe Flash Player.
But since the number of sites that use the old Adobe Flash Player was greatly reduced, the use of WPCap is almost not required.
It makes no sense to support WPCap in the future.

Are we limited on this version? I used the help function to find an answer but the options it says to use aren't there. I want to convert the YouTube videos off my playlist to MP3 for my phone but I don't see how to do that.

Rick, use https://www.flv2mp3.by/youtube-to-mp3/ there is nothing to install, and video easily converts to mp3.

Rick, there is limitation only one - no free updates.
There is either the capture of audio tracks or extract audio from the downloaded video and convert it to MP3.

To the folks at Ant DM,

On your website, you offer a portable version. I do not see any references to the version being offered here today being able to function as a portable piece of software (at least not in your description above). Is it possible to install the pre-activated software you're offering today on to a thumb drive, instead of the local hard drive, and have it run (properly) as a portable app?

Installed without the slightest issue. If you go to the lower-right taskbar and you press on "Registration" you´ll see a message saying "This a PRO version GOT activated", or something similar.
And after trying FDM, IDM and XDM over the last weeks, this seems to be a very similar software with a very decent interface.
My main pet peeve, is that I haven´t been able to find an easy, uncluttered way to download youtube videos while hovering over the miniature, since it opens a panel with a zillion different options (video and audio separately) that I´m not interested to select each and every time. In this case, FDM has the best interface of all.
Anyway, if anybody knows how to set a default quality (video+audio) I would like to know.

Ant Download Manager is an excellent download manager & accelerator. It's intelligent media download algorithm can download video/audio from many media sharing, etc websites. It is comparable to Internet Download Manager & even better on a few points. The program provides handy options not available in IDM. It is stable & runs light. The development is good too. Dev is quick to fix any issues & helpful. I am running it for a few months & impressed with its capabilities & stability.

This is a good opportunity to try this excellent software. You will like it. Just try it.

I need this product for Opera.
Their download manager is fine.
But I have IDM. But, I can`t get the opera extension from Joe.
502 bad gateway.
That`s my story.

I've been using ANT Download Manager for many years. It is right on par with Internet Download Manager, when talking about download speeds, only it's more detailed with an intuitive GUI.

As I use Check Point Cyber Shield software on my Win10 x64 Pro PC, it seems that I was able to install your app, but cannot open it, although the Check Point app and the Avast Antivirus are turned off.
During the installation progress you recommended to follow one of two ways in respect to this issue. I tried both of them but to no avail.
Please help me in solving this problem.

In order to be on a safer side, go to Config and untick "Check for updates" option to prevent the program from becoming unregistered when it updates automatically.

I have been using the paid version for sometime now and found that it works perfect every time. Great program and suggest to go to the paid version to support the dev. There are many updates for improvements. Buy it.

Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) and I get "This app can't run on your PC". I have AVG disabled

I love the free version, and would love to buy the Pro version - until I can afford it I would love to use the GotD version. Any help?

Disable your Virus program. The wrapper GOTD for the setup.exe causes that to happen.

Program insists on installing in f:\programs\ant download manager.(If I select custom installation)
Even if I change it to c: it doesnt install. If i use Full option I get message "The drive or UNC you selected does not exist"
Seems like its trying to install to F: drive everytime

Dave, sorry but c:\ is not folder you should write something "c:\my folder for antdm\"

AntDM, Can i send an email with screenprints as you are not understanding what is actually happening. I am not selecting any drive! It selects F:\Programs\Ant download Manager by itself, I am simply trying to change the drive but it does not accept it neither!

AntDM, sounds like it may have a previously installed version and insists on using the previous path. If so it will do this until the previous version is removed.

Downloaded and Installed/Registered fine. One Video I tried to download was from Pluto Tv and it only downloaded 25 second of the video. I was wondering if there is a way and how to download a whole video from Pluto and does this happen on other sites too? Any help here is appreciated...

Installed, and it says "Pro promo version for GiveawayOfTheDay.com". Below that, in a green circle, PRO is written in white, upon clicking which we are taken to a website, where it says that the "...Trial version is valied for 30-days. After which its functionality becomes Limited..."
If this is TRUE, then is it actually Giveawayoftheday or just another trial software???

You got a Promo version. This is written in the header of the software. You can go to the site and read the comparison of the promotional (Giveaway) license with other licenses of the software.

Vivek, You have the full Pro version. I've had version 1.10.1 installed for several months now and it's the same. The green Pro button is just an advertisement... and it's there even if you have the Pro version. What is important is what it says at the top, beside of Ant Download Manager.

Bertha, Below, users write about the problem with Avast. If you use Avast or another Antivirus then try to temporarily disable it. Perhaps the antivirus stops the software.

I nu-installed the last offering because it interfered with two of the other downloader/capture programs (did any one else have this problem)
I am very willing to try again I hope this version is less recourse hungry

After downloading it, "I use Vivaldi browser" there is no integration when downloading files, but with videos it works perfectly.
I tried to add Vivaldi from browser integration in options as clone but I can't add it to the three that already there!

AntDM, I did download the extension, but only video pop-up works, all other file formats don't work. Moreover, Vivaldi isn't there at the browser integration option, as i said previously.

Lilien, Install GOTD version. If you have chrome, then a new extension will come automatically.
The answer above was given for installation to Vivaldi browser. There the installation of the extension is done manually.

Thanks for clarifying, I confused the main program with the browser extension.

May I ask one more question?
Is the functional principle of this Download Manager based on external Servers (cloud) so links are first transferred to an external server to be converted to the download link? This would bring up the question if such a server would log every download?

Lilien, out software is in no way bind with the external network (cloud). We do not have external servers to handle client requests.

I use to love the extension version of Ant as it allowed any video from and page to be captured. This stopped working after an update. I hoped this non-extension approach would allow me to d/l from anywhere, but unfortunately it does not. A real shame, but thanks anyway.

Can't install! Win10.
Read info .txt file, ran the setup file, pop-uped "Activating" than "Successfully activated" and... that's it! No software installed!

It is my understanding that sites such as Youtube change their settings periodically. So the downloader must adapt for this. With no ability to update, these sites will no longer work with your product.

We need clarity on this.
Even Browsers are changing some features periodically. Previously I was using FDM, which was stopped supporting new version of chrome. Then they have provided an update to fix this.

works well, I use Google Chrome and Brave browsers. The software comes preregistered, and when I restarted my browsers all that was needed was to enable the extensions. Great GOTD program, win10x64

It is great that the creators decided to share it as the promo give away.
The previous versions had some problems with integrations wih the Chrome
But in general it looks like it is better than famous Internet Download Manager
It could be nice if the newer varsions had possibility to change the GUI themes including these very simplified. I know the people which are blind and all these nice GUIs very often are limitng their tools to access to full information.

This is the best download manager I have so far used, after trying out MANY, that's dozens of others over a couple of years. A key feature is capturing video on many sites and ease of use. I first encountered it at the beginning of 2017.
