Installed & Tested on 64bit Windows 10 Pro. Everything seemed to work fine. Did not experience layout issues previous Win10 user posted about, desktop icons aligned fine, though I don't have many on my desktop so this might be why. I did have to edit my color settings so I could see the icon text.
I also didn't find the program as "limited in features" that a previous poster did. There were lots of filters to apply. I played with the water brush filter on a few of my personal pics, it was very easy to use and did a good job. I tried some other filters including sounds, lighting effects & butterflies. All were easy to use and provided many options for each filter on the right side of the screen.
The lack of mobile support is an issue though. It would be really nice if the program allowed you to target multiple mobile platforms & sizes, perhaps choosing the ones you wish from a list (multiple selection) and then the program can export each file format automatically, instead of us changing settings over and over.
On my 4Ghz hex-core with 64GB ram and a GTX960, I really had no issues running the wallpaper I created, which had 4 1600x1200 pics, each with water animations, sound and one with a whole bunch of effects thrown in for good measure. The running app was a bit big, using 200MB of memory. That seems like a lot for a desktop background app, and I believe that's just the app that makes the background show, not the background itself (which was only 7MB as a compiled .exe)
All in all, unless you've got resources to spare on your machine, I wouldn't recommend using the resulting desktop background on your PC. I'd expect it to be too resource intensive for most computers.

I have version 4,2,3 from an earlier giveaway. For the person who says it uses a lot of GPU, I think you meant CPU. I thought that also when I first created, my first wall. My Cpu was jumping around 30%. If you do a reboot the CPU calms down to around 5%, which is real acceptable.
To the publisher: Do I have to uninstall version 4.2.3 to upgrade to version 4.2.4. And what improvements are there ?
Also thanks, no more static desktops for me !

Better to uninstall the older version. The change log can be found on our blog http://blog.desktoppaints.com/

I have used the previous version. It is absolutely delightful, but you need to spend some time to learn to use this prog. You can make amazing wall papers. I have not tried this version yet, but I am sure it will be great!

Can i export the file and send it ti my mother who loves animated pics?

Absolutely. You can create a standalone little executable which you can send to anyone. Your mother can play it without having to install Animated Wallpaper Maker.

As Desktop Paint three programs, Animated Screensaver Maker, Animated Wallpaper Maker and DP Animation Maker, are identical software differing only by the format of their output, the comment I made when Animated Screensaver Maker was last offered, although outdated (there is a new feature nearly every month!), is, roughly speaking, valid for today’s givaway (post n°6):

As an example of the possibilities of the program, see the sort of things you can easily do just by entering as an animation a mask all over and make it fade in/out and hide/show the background and effects and animations behind:

(A wallpaper and a screensaver with soundtrack, which explains the size, nothing else, and whatever Sur-ly might say, I guaranty the total safety of my zip)

If you use Fence, this app will mess up your desktop!

As a Fences user I will take your advice and pass on this offering.
Fences is soooo much better than the Metro thing.

I use Fences and it's an invaluable program to me, I really wanted to try today's offer but not at the expense of my Fences! Has anyone else had this problem?

I tried on Win10, but not fully compatible:
- icons moved to left,
- icons automatically sorted and align to grid will be off (in right click menu on desktop)
- if I turn icon sort, show inactive icons too (network, my computer, etc.)
- if I check align to grid, then a few icons hide under taskbar
Please check on Windows 10 too! I use 64 bit version.
P.s.: I tried on a notebook with ATI Radeon HD 4500, but my system was worked very hard when runned wallpaper.

It runs not perfect on Win 8.1 64 bit (It was crashed sometimes) but I have performed treating compatibility problems and selected Windows 8 and it was not crashed anymore.

It's rather limited in features, that is, from the programming side not being able to do more than what there is already.
No android mobile support which is a deal breaker.
On Windows it consumes way too much resources off the GPU.
I don't think it's fitting my needs as such.
