Sorry for that. If your download fails and shows "Geographical Restriction", the video is blocked in your region or country. Some uploaders will set geographical restriction, therefore you can't watch or download it in your country. By the way, we will release a new version this week which will solve this issue, could you try again at that time?

AmoyShare Team, I just tried to download the new version, as prompted by the program itself, supposedly 8.0.0, but the downloaded program is really 7.9.0, hence no change.

FeMaster, how is your internet connection? I have tried to search the video link you left above, and I've got the video previewed and downloaded. It seems like everything just works out fine for me.

JK, Interesting. I've got plenty of bandwidth (100Mbit down, 12Mbit up). I left it go for the last 6 hours and still says "waiting in queue..." The video plays perfectly fine when I browse to the link and play it in the browser. Wonder what the difference is that I can't get it to work?

JK, The only thing I could think of that would be different than the typical install is that I installed to my Data (D:) drive instead of my OS (C:) drive, so I uninstalled and reinstalled to the OS drive with no change. Seems to work perfectly fine for a lot of videos, short and long, except for the ones in YouTube's free to watch movies section; the exact ones I was interested in downloading for offline watching. :-(

Did you download it only or did you also try playing the downloaded file? Most YouTube video downloaders can download the movies from the "YouTube Movies" channel, but they do not play properly.

The sound quality is the same as the source.

By default, what the app downloads are the quality from the source site.

Autumn, find a screen recorder type.... they do not use the url of the video or the site. they just record what is playing on the screen in the window you define. sorry i don't have any suggestions for which one.

Autumn, download any video extension for chrome or firefox or opera

Jim, A 90 year old friend's sister died and I hoped to play his sister's memorial video on my TV because the screen is bigger. I can try streaming it from my computer to the TV. I'm not sure if the quality will be as good with a screen recorder but I can try that. Thank you.

Dan Cou, during installation it asks you if you want to install for just yourself or everyone on the computer. If you chose just yourself it will install under your [user]/app data. If you chose everyone, it installs under Program Files (x86)/.

TK, Very valid point, although I never re-encode with it so I'm not feeling too bad when using it. (I'll use my legally acquired FFMPEG from the command line...)

Patrick, you only need to log into AnyVid with the registered email and password and the license will be activated immediately.

shegeek72, you can download from youtube with the program.

MOV, There's a heck of a lot of lower-cost software out there which is basically the same thing with a different name on it, although I don't think most of the downloaders I've seen are, as they work so differently and better/worse with different sites. Although they may all have bought some underlying download library and just be unique front-ends to different versions of it. (Or they do a few sites themselves and get the rest from a 3rd party library.) Also a huge number of video converters are just front-ends for FFMPEG, which is sensible as it works so well and supports so many things, but I gather potentially iffy on the licencing front.
Also there's the question of privacy policies, do they log what you do and sell it to people... worth a read if you are downloading anything you might not want people to know about (I don't do this so aren't that fussed).

a useful trick to generate a "new" email address if using gmail is to put an extra dot (.) into it. So if your regular email address was, say, bighenry567@gmail.com you could enter the following big.henry567@gmail.com or even b.igh.enry5.67@gmail.com. Gmail will still accept it, but websites will usually log it as a new address. You may need to remember how you mutiliated your address though!

Peter Blaise, As they say above (in the official description) that you may need to use a different e-mail address than you did before, I think it is okay to assume the GAotD conditions are different than getting it from their site directly...

Don't know why I'm getting down-voted, trying to be helkpful. Also amoyshare have replied in these comments several times saying people who have used it before should use a different e-mail address this time.

(Strangely my comment expressing happiness that someone solved their problem got deleted, which seems very odd.)
