Hi, Today we have mixture of everything.. Well working Software, Interesting 'Detective Story' (and by 'story' I don't mean fiction..:) and lastly, at least today - what 'came free' did a full circle? LOL. That said, I did google a little about Open Source FFmpeg before downloading, to ease my thoughts.. I guess it helped me to know these 'Guys' are nicely rewarded by generous donations (some from wealthy Companies), so that's cool and how it rightly should be!:) - read here my first visited site, if of interest: https://www.ffmpeg.org/ ----------
Is it a 'wrap'? Are we kind off happy? Thanks for Today's Gift and Comments!

Can anyone import an iso file to be converted? I can't (the software doesn't even list it when "import" is clicked).

Quality of video not that great. For 64 bit systems a great Free program is ShanaEncoder
http://www.videohelp.com/download/ShanaEncoder2.7.exe
A bit of a learning curve and basic GUI but very fast and with 2 pass encoding you get excellent results. Well worth putting in a bit of effort for.

This converter has the same missing feature as almost all of them do:

How about a box that says "Keep original aspect ratio, data rate, frame size, and frame rate, just convert it to the selected format."?

It would be a very simple feature to add, and would save a lot of effort and poking around in the original file to get all its specs before conversion.

It would be very useful for these products to actually have conversion types listed:
1-Alphabetically so that you do not have to go thru a few hundred formats to MAYBE find the type you need
2: Have ordinary MPEG1 listed somewhere as the vast majority of people, believe it or not, still use DVD players, and cannot afford blue ray and dumb phones!
I've always liked Aieesoft converters, but trying to find the format you need is a day long mission!

Just downloaded and installed; seemed to work because program shows up. But I can't find a way to register it. Help file says -- but neither of those options appears. The help menu has no "register" choice, only "purchase" which doesn't help.

Reply   |   Comment by Earl Gaddis  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

I got a pop up register screen. It had a place to enter my name and the license number. Maybe you closed that or it went behind the program screen. Try opening the software again and see if you get it.

I like Aiseesoft's video converters, although the plethora of nearly-identical product versions and names is confusing. This is definitely worth having if you don't already have one of their many versions. But for the job of converting other video formats to mp4 with H.264 codec, I would always turn to Handbrake first, because it does a better job than Aiseesoft of balancing speed vs. output size vs. quality with default settings. Handbrake is always free, so you should have it too. But it doesn't have the simple and useful editing tools that Aiseesoft provides.

Will this allow me to download and convert Youtube videos?

Reply   |   Comment by Van  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-5)

Description says it can convert flv files. Standard YouTube videos are flv files so, yes, you should be able to convert those with this.

I'm curious if this is the same application as the Aiseesoft HD Video Converter offered a couple of months ago? Although not distinguishable, it was a pretty fair piece of software. And if it's not the same ... what's the difference (besides a higher version number)? Or is it just the same but with a different name.

Question: After installing and registering, a pop-up says "In order to use AMD APP technology, you have to install AMD Graphics Driver first.
I'm not too familiar with various video technologies and such. Is this driver something I should download or need to convert videos? Or is this something used by "advanced" users?

It appears that this driver will speed up the conversion process. I downloaded it. It took quite some time to completely install and I haven't tested the speed of the conversions yet but it was done easily and with no problems.

Been using retail version extensively for a long time. Works perfectly every time and faster than some alternatives offered here from time to time.

UI isn't always crystal clear as to where you are and where you wish to be but always, in the end, I find what I need and the program does what I expect it to.

Grab this one if you have any need for it or may think you will have a need in the future.

Tried out this converter extensively. In short: This is a good one.

* Supports multi-core and GPU-encoding.

* Interesting profiles include WebM and ProRes.

Needs no regular installation and is therefore PORTABLE. Just copy or zip the programs folder and keep the registration details from the readme.txt in GotD download.

Definitely a keeper. Thanks GotD and Aiseesoft.

sorry to say but this is my verdict.
Aiseesoft MP4 Video Converter 7.1.5 is the same as aneesoft_video_converter_pro given away on 3/11/2013 the only thing that has changed is the file ver. and name but it does everything ells that aneesoft_video_converter_pro one good thing is we get a upgrade but with different name. maybe if they used aneesoft_video_converter_pro it would have bean better. i still use aneesoft_video_converter_pro to this day even 3d convert as well as other aneesoft progys i dont have problems at all with them. but thay do turn out nice and crispy with with a 3gb pci-e card and 32gb ram.. thank you gaotd

What I hate by such companies is that you can nowhere see what are the changes from the last version. I have 6.2.52 and it looks like the screenshots from this version - but what is new? When it´s only the latest iphone/ipad-support then I don´t need to update...

Been playing with a new HD GoPro camera on my Phantom 2 quadcopter this week, and found difficulty in coping with the format in many of the programs I've tried - including that which was supplied with the camera!

Just done my first test with today's offer, and found it simple, fast, and effective at the basics.

Miss the opportunity to add music, and haven't yet checked to see if it includes transitions, but for a first attempt it can trim, change audio levels, and has other vision enhancements not needed yet. Great for a fast cut of unneeded segments to quickly send over to my iPad.

Definitely a keeper. Thank you.

Glad you brought this up. I have V2V installed [100% Free] and it handles pretty much all my needs. I am sorry to say that I am not a video converter expert so I can't give tech-differences. V2V is open source software though which is always a plus.

Installed and registered without problems, opened up to a typical video converter interface fashionable today.
My main interest was in the editing facility, particularly effects; my old eyes tend to need higher contrast and brightness for comfortable watching.
Imported a video file that appeared to me to be rather flat and dull looking with the intention of brightening it up.
Imported and FLV file without difficulty and set up to convert to MP4, H264, and as with most video converters there is no logic to the order of the general selection so had to hunt through to find what I wanted.
It did not allow choice of original resolution but it could be set manually, after the settings were finished went into the editing area.
Found this really useful as the original is shown above a preview, really helpful in setting the contrast and brightness.
It took 11 min to convert the 90 min video, 4 core + CUDA, the output showed considerable improvement leaving me a satisfied customer.

Our Goal

To be the best mobile, multimedia and PDF software tools provider all over the world.

The latest news in the news center is:
Aiseesoft Made Great Upgrades to Mac FoneLab
June 24, 2014

Upon start a dark interface opens, clearly structured, in the skin "Elegance" which you can change to a light blue skin "BlueRhyme". I'm missing the skin "TheGreenDragonFliesHigh" and "WanderingsAroundTheGreatWall"...

In the settings you can switch between some languages (ENG,GER,FRA,JAP), you can enable the GPU support for NVIDIA GPU or AMD APP accelaration, use some or all kernels.

The convertor(sic!) is digitally signed as RayShare Co. Ltd.

After loading a video (take a look at the properties) you can:

Trim, crop, merge, watermark…
and snapshots

Positive: The controls are clear and simple to use, the watermark process is well structured, really one of the best user interfaces, I've seen in the past. Trimming, cropping and effects are as they should work.

The help files are sufficient, the translation in a good German language.

The conversion is very fast after my impression, a test video in HD 1,6 GB in about 12 min to a 640x480 MP4 file. The result is good.

Bravo! Software as it should be, working without problems from the very first start till the end, clear structured interface and controls. Does what it claims. Dear company, with this Aiseesoft MP4 Video Converter 7.1.5 you don't need to hide in anonymity.

I'll keep it.

Reply   |   Comment by Karl  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+160)

Aiseesoft isn't "hiding in anonymity." Because Aiseesoft isn't a company but a brand. A label.

Aiseesoft, Tipard, Aimersoft were all set up by the giant megabucks Chinese developer Wondershare. There are probably a few more "developers" out there which are also figments of Wondershare's imagination.

What they all have in common is taking the Open Source FFmpeg created by others, wrapping some pretty tinsel around it, and sticking on a price tag.

Wondershare's knack of making people think the audio/video converter market sector is populated by many a different, competing, independent company is good for Wondershare's business. 'Anonymity' doesn't come into it: Aiseesoft doesn't exist.

Even if it were "taking the Open Source FFmpeg created by others, wrapping some pretty tinsel around it, and sticking on a price tag",
there is still labour involved and most all, one has to have that much brain to do so. Who does not *copy* in today's industry? More important is the product offered.

Reply   |   Comment by aba  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

@MikeR: 100% true.
In addition they provide many products with similar functionality with different names plus a "special" word (choose any from mentioned: extra, ultimate, super, total, mega, and so on).
Every product is incomplete, with missing some part of it, what you can find in another product.
It is kind of their business policy.
