Windows 8.1 ready? It's a few days before April 1st!

People need to remember that the original information that is fed into the encryption app is not encrypted and simply deleting the file containing the plain-text information is not sufficient. Without securing the process from beginning to end all you are doing is wasting your time and generating a false sense of security.

When changing the encryption secret (e.g. from smart card to password), problems were eliminated.
The encryption with smartcard (logon and data) has changed. For this reason, data encrypted by older versions should be better decrypted before the update.

Sounds a bit scary to me...

Why in the world are focused on giving away this software that's mostly in German & users have to pay for updates?

Secondly, It's not even stable software. If this software was stable that needs updating to keep it running smoothly. Then I see why to promote this software and use your company's name to help of giving it away for free.

This company just update this software to Windows 11. I did not find it's stable for Windows 10, But it's updated for Windows 7 and 8.1.

I wouldn't recommend unstable software with people's data and information that they will most likely lose forever and unstable software will create problems for current users and new users alike. Again, I cannot believe the company chosen strictly mixed German & English and not more languages into their software. The software gives more of a hassle to use just to understand it in German.

This is the problem with Encrypted files, if your drive fails for what ever reason or even one byte of the file can not be read, your whole folder can not be accessed anymore. No recovery software can recover Encrypted files, therefore, you must keep a separate folder of those files in an unencrypted folder as a backup on an external drive or USB stick. I know this because I went through this not long ego when my HD started to miss to record a byte here or a byte there, because of the encryption, no recovery software succeeded to recover any files after the failure.

I quite don't well understand this program.It integrates with Windows Explorer, I think those are well left untouched by some kind of other software that replaces the Explorer like Total Commander and etc.
Perhaps best application abylon is quite well known is application like abylon CRYPT in the BOX, which was given as a Giveaway but that too was time constrained application, i mean after that particular Giveaway period, the setup file becomes pretty useless. Free Giveaway should not be affected by time, especially when u h' constant OS release from Microsoft. Developers can simply upgrade and charge for that. Its all useless, Giveaway used to fun one time, these days, its all useless and yearly software. lol i have never purchased any software from Giveaway that i have really liked.
