Watermarks ruin things. Look at e*****sworld and stuff. If it's your art, that's cool and all. I feel that this application might be abused, though

This is a handy program I will use it for my photo's.

Excellent program, works as expected...and allows saving of your watermarks for multiple applications.

I D/L Watermark Fact software of 12 th April from GAOTD and registered it in the 24hrs period. However trying to use it today it just converts the text into SAMPLE in the final stage.

Why is this please? Is it just a gimmick that you are giving free software? This has not happened with any otherr GAOTD S/W that I have downloaded.

I have been to this site for many months now and Watermark Factory is one of the very few useful programs for "me". It worked perfectly and as an eBay seller this is a Godsend. I have used countless programs (photoshop, paintshop, and a horde of watermark niche programs) nothing has worked so well and with great ease. I am truly pleased and thankful to Sibental Inc. and GAOTD for making this possible.

I can't believe I missed this by 1 day!!! I've been trying to download & install free watermark programs from ZDNet. Nothing has worked (errors/corrupted file messages). If anyone has any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, please let me know. I'm downloading on Firefox browser & Windows XP. Thanks.

'hotlinking' (an img)... what's that?
"Plagiarism", "micro text"... can't go smaller than a pixel, so if the image is large (IME, not a webpic), the text is easier to hide.

Does exactly what I need it to do, installed and running just fine on WinXP Home SP2.

A comment was made earlier that this isn't a program for pros. Well that may be true, but then again I don't expect to see professional graphic artists lurking around the internet looking for free programs to do their work.

I get the following error message when I tried to install this program.

The program opens seems to open up okay, though. I don't get a trial version only notice. I'm running XP Home Edition SP2.

This is NOT a 15 day trial version.

The download ZIP file contains 3 files.

Setup.exe
Activate.exe
Readme.txt

You need to extract/unzip all three files into a separate directory.
If you "install" the downloaded zip file - it will only run setup.exe and then exit. (ie. you will never see the other two files).

The correct instructions to install the software are explained in Readme.txt.

Step 1. Run Activate.exe
Step 2. Run Setup.exe

(If you do not do Step 1, the software will not be registered).

The instructions displayed below the download link (some people just never read instructions, do they?) state.

Carefully read the instructions which you can find in readme.txt file. This readme.txt file is enclosed with all our downloads.

If you still have technical problems or suggestions - please leave a note in our forums.

Even though I didn't download this program because I can't think of a legitimate reason why I would want to watermark my pictures, I just want to comment about the quality of the giveaways that I've seen lately. In the last few weeks, I've seen a greater proportion of giveaways that have made me think, "Wow, that looks different/useful/cool" than ever before. I usually download about 1 or 2 giveaways a week, but recently it's been about twice that number (I don't keep everything, though, but the opportunity to try out full versions for free is worth the time I spend on each program).

I'll be back again in a few hours when the next giveaway goes up. Thanks for a great service!

#142, I always follow the Readme; if it's not clear, I follow the installation order recommended by some of the other products and the games, which is to Activate first (if it has an Activate), then run Setup. Never had a problem; unless additional steps are required, the programs generally come up activated (if additional steps are required, sometimes the programs have to be closed and re-opened). To users who complain about demos/trials--most programs have an About dialog box which will indicate whether or not the program is registered. If it's not registered, you haven't done the activation and setup correctly. In general, it's a good idea to reboot after installing; some programs don't fully install until after a reboot (they have pending file operations which are completed prior to Windows start), even if they don't say so. Some McAfee security products are known to block communications even when disabled; you may have to uninstall them.

Downloaded it, installed it, TRIAL VERSION! Removed it! Downloaded it again, installed it, AGAIN A TRIAL VERSION! I am very disappointed. I wrote to Watermark and they said it is not their problem. Contact Give-Away-of the Day. I give up!

Really cool program, BUT it is not FREE. To be free it would have to be fully functional. It isn't. Their "note" comes up over your Watermark. I thought this website was giving away free programs, fully functional, blah, blah, blah.

Why waste my time giving away a NOT-FREE program. If you are going to give away something, then do that. If you are going to give away a program that is not fully functional and totally free of charge, then say that in your webpage.

What's wrong with Photoshop? Or GIMP?

I guess it's useful for people that don't know how to use the aforementioned programs. Then again, if you don't know how to use them, why would you need a watermark-adding program?

Allen I'm pleased to see you've made that comment about it only being a 15 day evaluation copy. I really want this program so dled it and couldn't work out what to do once I tried to instal it as it's giving me options of: try now, register, enter code or exit.

With these "free" programs should we get a code or registration number?? Some help please!!

Dough comment #76...I think you may have screwed up your registration as my copy of hide windows is working perfectly. Sorry about that :(.

As for todays give away. 9 out of 10. It works really well. I like how you can change the color of the watermark to blend in with the predominant color of the potograph, but also for general watermarking, with batch processing. The interface is good looking and easy to use. Nice one Sibental Inc., and thank you GAotD for adding this one. Your other product Icon constructor has been really useful and i see this one being useful as well :)

Also thank you Spunky comment #41 for the freeware visualizer photo resizer link. It's not a bad program; easy to use and has a reasonable GUI, however I don't like the pop up I get whenever the program is booted.

Can we have icon constructor again. I really liked it but had to reformat!! This software is great too for dealing with whole folders of ebay pics. Thanks so much GAOTD!
Don't forget please give me another free copy of icon constructor instead of the next time you plan to offer a screensaver.

132 & 133, install software first, when installed close program, run activate.exe, let it connect to server in both directions, then it should tell you activated successfully.

Close the activation window if it doesn't do it itself, open program and it should not say it's a trial but say 'Registered User' if you press the '?' in the right hand top of screen.

Nice program. I think I can do most of what it does with my photo-editor, but this program does it so much more intuitively and easily. It looks to be very useful.

Effortless download and activation for this feature-enriched program! I teach computer classes at the local library and have created dozens of hand-outs for folks to take home. Being able to watermark them as my intellectual property is a terrific help. Kudos again to GOTD!!

Thanks GOTD! This works great! Much quicker and more simple then having to open up photoshop and mess around with layers every time I need to make watermark's.

#133 ... I ran the "blue activate" icon that appeared when clicking the zip file, it produced another "orange activate" icon that I clicked next giving me a "activation successful" message. I then clicked the "setup" icon that had an icon of a computer. The software installed fine and it doesn't say anything about being a trial version. Maybe this info will help you. Thanks again GOTD!!
