I love to play darts so I thought I'd give this a try! It's actually fun and takes your mind off things for the moment. As with real darts (on a bristle board of course!), the ability to place your shot accurately is quite challenging. Surprisingly the mouse action used to throw your dart is pretty darn consistent and accurate IMO. I'd say if your still burdened with a track-ball mouse, you'll likely get frustrated trying to maintain consistent accuracy unless your one of the few who actually keep the ball and rollers squeaky clean (but hey, play anyway! ...it's fun and challenging). The action seems quite sensitive relative to direction and amount of thrust, thus pretty accurate using an optical mouse. There's no comparison to real world situations such as packing 3 darts in a bull or triple, or trying to figure out how to place one when your previous throw may be in the way of your intended target. But all said and done, it's a good stress reliever and presents quite the challenge to place your shot using the mouse. Focus on mouse direction and amount of thrust with each throw to acquire a feel for distance too, and placement on the board. Practice makes perfect! A very fun little game to get your mind off things for awhile! Good sound effects too.
