Please read this guide if you are not sure how to register the software.
Step 1. Download Zip package from GOTD. Unzip the Package and run setup.exe to install the software.
Step 2. Run this software and a pop-up window will appear, on which you can see the comparison between free trial and registered version. Meanwhile, just find and click the "Get Free License" button at the bottom-left corner.
Step 3. You will be redirected to the registration page. Input your name and email address, then click the "Get Free License" button. An email will be sent to your email address automatically.
If you do not receive your license key after several hours, please check your spam or junk mail folder.
Step 4. Return to the software and copy and paste the received registration code under "Registration Code" and click "Activate" to activate the software. If you encounter an internet connection error when activating, please try using another internet connection.

I have no idea why people have downvoted this software? Sure, it's a bit of a pain to have to provide e-mail details to get the licence code, but there are easy ways around that if you're worried about getting lots of marketing e-mails. I installed the program and received the licence code in not much more than five minutes. I've just tested it out by converting a 430Mb .mov file to a 70Mb .mp4 with no apparent loss of video or sound quality. There are plenty of additional options if you want to do more than just convert a file.

Simon , xmedia-recode or handbrake can do that for free always and comply with the licenses of 3rd party compression that ALL these use.

TK, thanks for the information. It seems to me that the Vidmore product does rather more than those products, with lots of video editing options and other features built in, but I'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind when my one-year licence runs out (I love open source freeware as much as the next person!). Even if other products do exactly the same as this software, I don't see that's a reason to downvote this Giveaway?
To be honest, when I left my review the upvotes and downvotes were balanced at about 50/50, but I see the product eventually ended up with an 88/12 approval rating.
