@Zortam Team. Interesting that you choose sarcasm when dealing with a potential customer. I would like to know if anyone has tried your customer support and received the same sort of care.

Suggestions could be perceived as a tool for improvement. Different point of views can sometimes help one truly see something from a different angle. GAOTD could be considered a TEST environment where the feedback should be welcome. Not scorned.

Tagscanner FTW. Free, works, constant updates and does everything this GAOTD does and more. This software field is over saturated, with nothing fresh. Good luck!

After installation the program did not start, what seems to be a bug of the gaotd version, because after it failed on my Windows 8.1, I tested with the trial, and - what a surprise - it started...

What a complete waste of time. crash, crash, crash... XP/7, 8.1 all. What a mess to clean-up. Uninstall leaves many remnants.

That's the story about copy and paste comments from the web.
If you just click on X ( close view ) you can make interface quite simple. Actually you can close all views. I guess interface will be too simple for you in that case.

Freezes, crashes and not to forget the popups. Don't waste your time trying to install. This piece of software made its way to my recycle bin...

Downloaded and installed on Windows 8.1 64bit - fail. Also crashes and it's just too busy of screen to be useful. Sorry GAOTD, not a good app today.

I've used a few, even bought a couple, installed this hoping for a gem... It crashed once, but worked after but lacks finesse and has some broken stuff (like the Amazon search).

So I had another look on the net and found this, its free, I installed it, picked an album that did not show up on foobar2000(+plugins), MagicMP3Tagger, Zortam mp3 media studio and a couple of others not worth a mention... It searched (Amazon) and got the album/artwork first time so I'm using it from now on

down loaded and installed okay, tried it on some music files which were already tagged now they are a total mess ie;- most of my Dave Bowie songs have been tagged as The greatest hits albums and the same as my Aerosmith

I had the same problem but i have fix it!

Install the Zotram first with giveawayExe and try to start it.
It pop up for two seconds.
Then go to folder Program Files (x86)/Zotram Mp3 Media Studio and copy you the zmmspro.exe out to a Desktop Folder. Then download you the Demo Exe under follow link: http://www.zortam.com/mms1001.exe

And then install it over the old giveawayinstallation.
After that you go to your saved desktop file zmmspro on Desktop Folder and copy it in the Program Files (x86)/Zotram Mp3 Media Studio back and then you can start this program without any Problems and ist registerd.

I’ve tried installing this four times but it looks like a trial version: when I select Buy Zortam MP3 Media Studio Pro > Enter License Information the fields are blank. Am I right in assuming that this option shouldn’t be there if it’s registered properly?

this is not an audio tagger if you have to have your own tag information. what kind of crap is that. I tried this and it did not get any information correct. no wonder this is such a failure and has more thumbs down. where is Giovanni when you need his input. I know he will eat this up and have better alternatives. so where is Giovanni today? I look forward to his input.

Hi again, I've now tried this out of interest to see what it actually does and no it's not a music studio, but a music organizer for your personal music collection. Sorry to answer my own question, but wanted to know what this does. It has a lot of features, like search Amazon and search for duplicates and many other things that could be useful. I personally tend to use the ogg vorbis format for my CDs, but thanks anyway for this Giveaway and for letting people try it out.

The only advantage I can see in using this program instead of iTunes is that it can get the lyrics of the songs. I would not expect it to have the lyrics to every song in its database.

How is this a Media Studio. Is this software like having a home studio on your computer. Can I record instruments as separate channels and produce music with this software. Does this software have a audio editor. I have read the description and I feel like maybe I missed something?

I have Win 8 update to 8.1 : installed but when i click to open, this immediataly crash :o(

Error in program: there is no d3dx9_30.dll in System32 only d3dx9_43.dll (when you renamed d3dx9_43.dll in d3dx9_30.dll the Player
appair but without d3dx9_30.dll the programm itself is worthless. Please DEBUG the givenaway setup !

This program constantly crashed when attempting to update database or retrieve song lyrics. I had previous used this software when it was previously given away. But it disabled the player so the software became worthless.

Thought I would give it another try but this was even worse. I was running Windows 7, Home Edition 64 bit.

I've installed Zortam MP3 as recommended but I can't make it work.

I installed on Windows XP SP2, but it doesn't work, the exe file shows in task manager for 2 seconds. Nothing else is shown.

When running the player, it shows a DLL error.

First of all, please note that the freeware version 16-40 available at many websites, is crippled. There are many features you cannot use and when you try to, it asks you to buy the Pro version; which is given away here today. For those who want try the freeware portable version, you have to install it into a USB drive and not onto any network hard disk.

Tested the software.

I must thank Zortam + GOTD for letting us try it out without having to buy first.

In my opinion, the overall result is: FAIL.

Reasons:
• The user interface is too busy.
• It is evident that the programmer is not clear what he is trying to create, so he does a little bit of everything (and not very well too).
• This is an common software-development-project failure. There is no clear sense of focus and direction. What do you want us to program boss? Oh, just throw a little of everything in, try to give "value for money" by giving every feature.
• The Zortam database of songs is woefully inadequate.
• It named the Artiste, Year, Genre and Album all wrongly.
• It requires you to first have a correct IDTag on the music file, in order to be more accurate. Which is nonsense. If I already have such, then I do not need this software to do ID tagging.
• The menu, key commands and mouse commands to do anything with the music files is not intuitive. Highly confusing.
• There is over emphasis on CD cover images.
• Other online utilty or off-line software with ability to link with and identify songs from GraceNote is much superior to Zortam MP3 Media Studio Pro.
• A built-in Z player is included for you to hear the songs. But the problem is the confusing User Interface leads to the song being played when you want to do something else.
• There is a facility for you to manually edit and type in the correct IDTag fields to a music/song file.

Since this software is highly confusing, not accurate in IDtag and not useful, I will uninstall it immediately after leaving this comment.
