AOMEI's Backupper Pro & Partition Assistant are great apps, but the bootable USB sticks you can create with either won't work on our systems using UEFI & Secure Boot. In case of disk failure you need to be able to restore a backup to a replacement disk using another, working copy of Windows with Backupper installed -- that's what the Backupper USB stick is intended for. And not all partitioning tasks can be accomplished with Windows running, so that's where Partition Assistant's USB stick can come in handy.

mike, the USB sticks do work with UEFI and Secure Boot. It initially didn't work for me but then I ticked the box to download the media from the internet (when creating the media in Backupper) and then it worked.

I have used AOMEI products over the years. They have certainly been more than generous; their customer service has been exemplary, and their products---especially AOMEI Backupper Professional and AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro---have saved me much time as a computer professional. Gez, At least the AOMEI Backupper Professional has a 1-year activation code. This is the only one I have downloaded.

Gez, They do offer a lifetime update. I have it and it's really lifetime. I think that they'll offer it at a discount on a lifetime upgrade.

Ghost Catcher, It is a 1-year code which entitles you to use it for free for one year. You can find this information in the readme file when you download and unzip the program.

I am a home user and Aomei Backupper Standard has saved me over the years from many Windows disasters. I wish there was a version with the same features for Linux.
