Convert any audio file you have into MP3.

Make a backup of your movie DVDs, TV series DVDs, and even scratched DVDs, keeping subtitles, menus and other details intact.

Memory is a beautiful thing. And nostalgia is no different. Anyone who lived through the 1990s, shares a fond nostalgia for DVD disc, significantly the laser disc medium flowed out movie culture of Hollywood from the theater to the living room. If you’ve bought a pile of DVD movies over the past decade, there is a good chance to make backup copies before a DVD movie disc gets scratched and becomes unreadable in a DVD player.

If you are looking to go beyond just ripping your DVDs and keeping them on your computer, WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is for you. It is capable of extracting and converting DVDs directly to MP4, WMV, AVI, FLV, MOV, MPEG, H.264, iPhone, Android, hard drive, NAS box, or USB stick etc. What is also very important, a significant breakthrough in ripping speed has been enhanced at 47X faster (That means a full length DVD movie will be completely ripped in just five minutes).

What’s New in Version 8.20.6:

  • Improved: DVD decoding mechanism to support new DVDs released in 2020 & 2021.
  • Enhanced: The High Quality Engine for better output quality.
  • Fixed: Some minor bugs when reading certain lightly scratched discs.

I have the previous version, build 25 July 2017. Also version 5.16.2 build on Dec 1 2020. So, I can choose which version I can use.

I've really liked their programs that I've tried, such as WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe.
Wondering what the difference is between this one and their WinX DVD Copy Pro, which also handles the ripping ?

The other day I was looking to save some already ripped DVD file structures to ISO format. That is effectively a DVD saved as a single file, but with all the menus, bonus extras, etc. intact within. (If you turned it into MKV instead, you'd lose all that.) Maybe I was missing something, but I noticed no apparent means for doing this in either of the aforementioned WinX programs. (Their DVD Copy Pro will do this, *if* it is done *on the original disc, at time of ripping*, which appears as a program menu option, but not after the fact with a DVD that was already ripped to its constituent files.) This seems to me an oversight. I ended up making the ISOs with ImgBurn, which is a simple and very straightforward procedure.

This is a good product. All WinX products are high quality, IMO. Got it here and purchased it.

THIS seems to be the gold standard, blowing Leawo away, Wonderfix is still quirky by comparison, but some find it equivalent-ish.

Who has insight on Disney locked disk success - this seems to work so far for me.

HELP:

- How do I rip subtitles to a separate sidecar file?

- How do I make one video file that contains toggleable subtitles?

Thanks for letting us explore this and share.

I still have the previous version, build July 25 2017. For the few times that I use that ripper, that's enough.

Arnold Moss,
Hi I missed that one and since like everyone else they have switched from c++ to c# so screen readers cannot use this app or any other from this company which used to it could :(

What is the difference between Version 8.20.2 and this 8.20.6 Version?

EDDIE, depends upon your requirements on what the advantges are... if you only have a Vista system with a DVD/Blu-ray optical drive then this claims compatability with Vista while WonderFox product requires at least Windows 7 system. WonderFox boasts about ripping DVD 720x480 or 720x576 to 7680*4320 which of course is NO advantage since it just wastes space and LAN bandwidth and serves no useful purpose since you cannot add information with any accuracy that simply does not exist. Neither boasts AI upscaling which is much more CPU/GPU intensive but can produce much more pleasing results than non-adaptive upscaling algorithims. Not sure how you get 47x increase in reipping speed over realtime playback when optical drives do not approach DVD x 47 playback speed. My guess is they are using some obscure specification as 1x ripping speed e.g. 47 x 5mins the boasted ripping time... equals 235mins for 1x speed and that would be close to a 4 hour long Video which would be really poor quality squeezing 4 hours of video into 4.7G DVD! I very much doubt they are really achieving or meaning 2.5 minutes for a 120min movie on a 4.7G DVD-Video, if they were they'd say that as 2.5 minutes to rip a DVD sounds better than 5mins!

EDDIE, why there should be an advantage for the one or for the other software???
