This video converter is certainly better that the latest version of Digiarty. And this because you can set the bitrate from low to very high.

It is a very good video converter, but you have no choice of subtitles; size and color and where it can be placed.

So many free good video converters out there. And GAOTD regularly gives video converters with lifetime licence (like WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe, that you can frequently also get for free on their website)...so for me no need for another one with only 1 year license.

The tool does not appear to recognize any of the audio formats described above. Where in the tool is there an option to convert between audio file formats?

Nili, it apears they did a blind copy and paste of the file list to include the audio only formats. This ill thought out illegal FFMPEG front end while it can read a .MP3 file or .WAV files it cannot create them and tries to create a .MP4 video file and fails since there is no video stream to generate content from and ends with an uninfomrative "Error" result. And of course no content created.

You'd be better off with myFFmpeg or Handbrake or Xmedia recode. Apparently this cannot even strip the sound track from a video file. Fail!

TK, Correction, the default all formats profile does NOT include all possible output formats one has to ignore that profile and drill down if you want anything better than h264 and AAC MP4 files output. Use Common Audio profile subsection and select chosen container type... or maybe not as it STILL throws an error result on trying to convert an MP4 file with AAC sound track to an OGG file... tried some other output file formats and ALL result in an Error... so seems like a fail to me still, hmmm get same results when converting to various video profiles.... Strange other programs manage these things easily without breaking a sweat.
    Uninstalled.

TK, Figured it out, because the unsigned installer is NOT fully Windows 10 compatible it cannot register executables with Windows 10 ransomeware protection to allow the hacked FFMPEG converter "ConversionProcess.exe" to write to protected folders like the users Videos and Documents and Music folders so the conversion aborts being unable to make its writes to protected locations. To make it work you either have to disable protected folder control (Abolutely NOT recomended) or Allow a Recently blocked program through the protection which is slightly risky. Still uninstalled as I prefer legal FFMPEG converters that generally just work better than these pirated FFMPEG converter GUI's.

This program is easy to use and supports lots of formats.
Better than some free video converters which adds credits at the beginning and/or at the end.
But it would be better that the publisher can add a signing certificate.

Reply   |   Comment by Jerry  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

Jerry, the true free converters like handbrake, xmedia recode etc do not add "credits" at the begining, end or anywhere in between. The ones that do are NOT free video converters but free trials for paid converters that are likely to be just pirated FFMPEG based closed source GUI's, like todays.

Certain executables IN the installation are signed by Chinese named certificates, it's the installer "setup.exe" that is not signed and prompts windows to treat its contents with suspicion.
