I am the same way, but the install program from GOTD does allow me to select a different location than the default. I captured each screen of the install, and the screens captured are:
Select language
License agreement
Select destination folder
The 3rd screen shows the default as C:\Program Files (x86)\TSS\WinExt. The accompanying text states:
Setup will install WinExt into the following folder.
To continue, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.
The file from GOTD allows the user to choose where to install the program. The download from the developer's website does not. Did you use the GOTD one?
