Downloaded and installed the software. Activated the firewall and VPN. Downloaded the Chrome extension (recommended).

I'm using Windows 10, and it worked great for a couple hours and then restricted me from accessing the internet. My Wi-Fi would say "No Internet, secured", and I didn't know what the issue was for a couple days.

Until this morning when I tried to access Chrome, it said I had no internet -- but it also told me to check my proxy settings. I then proceeded to quit Windscribe and remove the Chrome extension and everything was working again.

I don't know why Windscribe caused me to be unable to access the internet. It must be some sort of issue that can be fixed. Please help!

Do your research people. You will find this is a newer VPN, and that it works a little different than others. They do not keep logs. Yes, it is the free version with 60 vs 10 GB a month. 60 GB is quite a bit. The way it works seems even more secure than other VPNs I have cheaked out.
I downloaded 1.5 GB with Winscribe in 53 minutes. Not going to hear me complain about that. I connected through Canada.
The VPN I have been using took 1 hour 47 minutes to download the same file.
I find it to be a keeper, if my opinion matters.

Its a 60 gig upgrade & there are 50% off coupons online for this but it does NOT allow you to watch US Netflix from Canada. Comes up with the oops you seem to be using a vpn or proxy on the Netflix site. First vpn who surpasses this block will have my interest. Mind you having a censorship when here we get US movies and stations by Netflix seems ridiculous but it is what it is. I will try another site normally blocked. Good try though by this company as at first it seemed to almost bypass the geo block.

That may be but, They should have been monitoring the giveaway when it started. Instead potential costumers moved on, I have been a GOTD member for years and know people will not bother if it's problematic and gets bad reviews early on like this one did.

The Pro version should be unlimited like it says on their site, but considering it's a year licence and 60GB month is more than enough bandwidth for most users I can let that slide. I may sound hard on Windsrcibe but there are a lot of VPN providers on the web. It seems to me they could have made a better impression but didn't. 48% thumbs up 52% thumbs down.

Using the VPN program as I write this and all seems well. I might even buy this some day. Checked it for DNS leak and that was good also. I've had some vpn servers leak my real IP address in the past so always check your vpn to see if they leak.

Not Pro, 60GB. Followed instructions and have no problems so far.

This is a great company witch i done my research months ago when i first see the program as i see the ones complaining have not done. Also the ones complaining are very ungrateful for something that is free.

This company just like any other has to make money to stay alive. With givint this program for free and unlimited would mean some people would not care that the company has to make money to keep the servers going and people would over use it.

if you look at company's who give things away for free and ask for donations they will be lucky if 1 out of 1000 people even donate $1 to them. I have worked for a company that had over 10,000 people a day on it and in 1 month of asking for donations for a service that was free we got $16.

This is a good company that is giving you 60 gb and free support with out you even having to go in to your pocket and pay 1 cent and all they ask you to do is say thank you.

Passing all Internet communications through a third-party website is an enormous security risk. Potentially, this website could record your bank accounts and passwords to other websites, and could also inject malware into the pages returned to your browser.

Not recommended, unless you have complete confidence in the integrity of this server. But unfortunately, I never heard of Windscribe before today.

I did all the steps .. got the promo code in my email and your site says invalid promo code

downloaded and have not found the program on any part of the drive. went to C drive and looked in both program files and the went to control panel to get to programs and features. does not show up on any area. what gives?

This is nothing more than a VPN director, which means they know and recorded all of your visits and they have a dBase on all of your surf habits and sites. How they make the money, selling your surf habits to third parties.
So much for private surfing. I used to work for such company not long ago, went out of business, Win 10 logs your habits before the surf pockets are sent to VPN server and defeated the purpose of such web sites.

if experince no internet connection , try turn firewall off on app, i guess this is not pro, but free with extended traffic.

I went through all the many hoops (which seems more and more common lately), got the "validation key". Said invalid - error. Sent for key again. Was the exact same "key" as in the earlier email. 2nd time it says invalid error. These complicated non-working setups are taking up more and more of my time.

This particular giveaway should be called Windscribe Pro 1.59 "Lite" (Win&Mac) at the very least granting Windscribe Limited is "promoting" this software to GotD users.

First impressions for many speak volumes & beating around the bush doesn't promote anything but turning people away. Save us the hoops, just calling it what it is.

A beefed up free version or a lite pro version. We wouldn't care if it were correct.

Uninstalled, thought I was getting the PRO version that GOTD advertised so that it would cover me in Ireland however did not get that version have to pay extra if you are in certain countries that are not covered by their Servers.

Hi all, is there a US location to choose, and does it successfully bypass Netflix Geo-Block?

I downloaded Windscribe from another site about a month ago and use it quite often. I'm quite satisfied & had no problem with it, including a couple of friends I recommended it to.

Went through the registration process clicked on Upgrade and entered the promo key. Shows only 60 GB left in program window and most countries are not available in the dropdown list of connections. Tried to connect to both the UK and USA... just get the "connecting" circle, while this is happening I don't have an Internet connection. Not very impressed so far.

Tor browser is not enough?

I used Hotspot Shield and when I attempted to take it off my system I lost all my Internet connectivity on that drive, anybody have the same problem with this?
Or am I more confused than normal and they not the same. :-)

Its not the pro version you only get the free version with more traffic thats all there is to it.

Personally I haven't gotten a Pro account with the promo code, but a simple extension to 60 GB of my free account.

This is not the pro version, the pro version has no country limit and no data limit, this has 60GB limit and only the free countries, so it's a free with 60GB instead of 10GB

I thought I followed the instructions. re-read the instructions and followed them. everything is working OK now.

Doesn't work behind firewall/proxy ... It says "No Internet Connectivity" while login in.

Registration takes you through a few hoops but finally got there. Installed easy enough. Simple little interface that is dead easy to understand. (Make sure you scroll through the countries to connect to, as looks as if there are only a few available on first glance). Download & upload speeds are fast, both with Torrents and using FTP. Hides your IP as claimed (I checked). Bit expensive for what it does but I will use it for free for a year for sure!
