I had been writing just one hour before I did not receive the activation code. After reading the comments below I tried one time more (a few hours after expiration time!!! - I used my original order backup page from getpocket site) with an immediate answer from Vidmore with activation code. I just used my Gmail address, not my Outlook. So the answer mode with activation code is still working but just with Gmail address.

Till now ( almost 24 hours after the e-mail from giveawayoftheday.com ...16/09/2020 15:45)I did not receive any code to activate the software. I`ve read the information to be patient it could come later.

How can you help me with this?

(I do not have any e-mail with the code on any folder - also in the spam/junk folder)

I twice tried to get a code but none arrived. Such a pity that you offer a giveaway that we cannot use. The only saving grace that before uninstalling, I compared it to the Aiseeoft Video Enhancer from a few weeks back and the interface and facilities looked identical so I suppose all is not lost.

After posting to say I received no registration code after applying twice, using different email (both hotmail associated), I read a comment saying try gmail, which I did a few moments ago and got a code. How strange. That said I've had this issue with emails before.

Instead of childish people giving negative votes, what say you answer the question - can this program enhance GIFs ?

Reply   |   Comment by Robert Crombie  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

Robert Crombie,

The program does not have GIF as a file type in the open dialog, however, it does have an * All files option, so you can open a GIF file. I presume you mean an animated GIF, but it will process a non-animated one as well. Whether the program was able to enhance the GIF is subjective. Some of the other comments indicate that for Video, they did not see any change in the output. I think that will depend on what type of video is used for the source, and how much data it has available for this program to do anything with it. A compressed source may not have a lot to manipulate, and the same goes for GIFs. I tried both video and GIFs but I did not see much difference between the source and the output, however, I did not have any source files that were large to begin with. The output file type can be chosen to be one of several video types, and there is one that is GIF. I was able to convert an animated GIF to an mp4 video file, and also output to GIF format. The different frames of an animated GIF are preserved, so the GIF output has individual frames as well. I hope that helps a little bit. Best of luck to you.

I noticed that during a simple conversion that Intel Quicksync was clearly not working, despite it being turn on in the preferences because it was just taking way too long.

So I created a file in another editor and exported it with settings that could be matched exactly in Vidmore, including resolution, video/audio bitrates, file type, codec etc.

Then I imported the file and set the converter settings to match those of the file.

The expectation of the resulting conversion would be that there should be nothing to do and so completion should take seconds.

Unfortunately it took 30 minutes.

There is clearly some form of issue with how they have implemented GPU and/or CPU acceleration, at least as far as Intel SOC's are concerned.

I cannot comment on the implementations of Nvidia and AMD.

And a note to all products that have conversion functionalities, let me decide things like bitrates and not force me to choose from a limited selection of options. No decent product would deny me such simple to implement features that give the user control over the process.

The editing functions are basic but they do add a little additional features, although I note that the general interface in some areas is a copy of other products.

Run of the mill and nothing to write home about.

At least they are not trying to flog it for some extortionate and unrealistic price but even $19.99 does not persuade me to even think about it when there are too many free products that can do the same jobs.

Needs to do something to separate it from the crowd.

Getting it working correctly would be priority 1, followed by letting me the user do what I need from it, not you telling me my options.

You cannot set your own file resolution. You can choose between built-in resolutions or leaving the original. Built-in resolutions do not always work + it does not help to change the 4:3 or 16:9 aspect.
It is not possible to set passtrough for audio, it always does the recoding :/
Antishake cuts off the image strongly and enlarges it (in poor quality) to original size video.

Dear lotek,

Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry for keeping you waiting.

We have learned this situation, we need to explain that as for the resolution, you could input the resolution you want manually.

Could you please tell us what do you mean “It is not possible to set passtrough for audio, it always does the recoding ”? What do you want to do with your audio files?

You mentioned that “Antishake cuts off the image strongly and enlarges it (in poor quality) to original size video.”, could you please send us a screen shot of this via e-mail:
support@vidmore.com for a check?

Once we confirm your problem, we will try our best to help you.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

Best Regards!

Able to change brightness colour density Etc on the fly (using sliders) but when asking the program to sharpen the vid or enhance it, there is no control - it just does 'Something' and saves it, tho that something doesn't seem to improve things at all.

Its a shame that you cannot do improvements or adjustments frame by frame or in blocks of frames - Instead, what light/colour settings you choose apply to the the whole video, like it or not.

Dear Terry e,

Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry for keeping you waiting.

We need to explain that our product is more professional in changing the resolution, improving brightness, rotate/crop/trim the video.

It is not obvious in improving the video quality, hope you could understand this.

If there is any problem when using our product, please feel free to contact us via e-mail: support@vidmore.com.

After trying it with a downloaded video, it doesn't improve much. Downloaded video is with resolution, 384*288 and I try to enhance it to 640*480. The video size increase but the quality remains the same. The pixels on the screen appear to be the same.
