It looks like there is two parts to this program. The converting of a file and the converting to a DVD video disc.
The only one that is being offered is the DVD converter.

I already had their previous converter offering installed and quite liked it for some conversions.
It was interesting to see that this DVD offering integrates itself into a package that includes the converter and make me wonder why they don't just integrate the two.
From what I can see, there is no mention of whether protected DVD's can be ripped.
When the converter was issued, the Intel Quick Sync was not implemented for all supported Intel platforms (Sandybridge to name one) and when enabling, an error was shown to state that it was not supported.
Now however, it can be enabled without the error but is still not actually implemented because conversion processes from the converter or DVD ripper is still only as fast as that of a non QSV equivalent product.
When it is implemented correctly then it may have some viability and perhaps for newer SOC's this may work but it needs to be tested across the board.

Installed smoothly without any problem, registered and was told program activated.
Then tried to convert a clip surprisingly was told that this is a free trial and only five minutes of the video will be converted. Now please explain why this is so...

To [ PhilS ] and others who can't get GOTD email licenses via Microsoft's Hotmail ...
Yeah, Microsoft is whimsical, blocks stuff, does not tell anyone, and it's not that they are super cautious with unknown broadcast email sources, but it's as if they are intentionally blocking access against free stuff - this happens a lot to us here at GOTD.
This from Microsoft, the company that gave away Word on every Windows computer until they bankrupted WordPerfect who could not compete against Word as not only free, but Word forced onto every Windows computer.
We've really got to diminish our attachment to Microsoft, even if we use Windows 7 because it's stable, functional, and there's so much support for it, especially if we use WIndows 7, because Microsoft is trying to kill it out from underneath us.
How come Microsoft never participates here at GOTD with a legitimate giveaway offer?
