I got this software when it was on GAOTD back in June 2020. Just opened it, updated it, and it updated to version 1.0.66. The software on offer today is version 1.0.22. I'm guessing they are the same thing, and today's will update upon installation?
Also, this download says "License Details: Annual". Does that mean it will only work for a year? Does that mean the one I downloaded last year is only for a year?

Just answered my own question: I just tried to use last June's version (that I'm guessing came with a year license?) and it is now in trial mode, which will only convert 5 minutes of video. Guess I'm downloading the one on offer today. I thought the software out here was good for at least a yer.

OK, answering myself again. Downloaded today's software, installed it, and it is a bit different from the last software I had. It does not give the choice to convert and save a file, it is only for creating DVD's. Also, the version 1.0.22 is the current version, I don't understand how the other software I had was named exactly the same as this one. Also also, I have the same problem with this software that I've had with numerous other DVD burning software, mainly that I can't figure out how to add chapters. It gives a choice to choose from a bunch of different menus, but the chapter screen has only one chapter, and from what I can see, there is no way to add more. Had the same problem with the Leawo DVD burning software I got here last December. There might be a way to do it, but it certainly isn't obvious.

Dear Dave,
Thank you for your feedback.
We have learned this situation and we will try our best to help you.
We need to explain that this offer is only for one year license.
We have listed this on the first comment. You could have a check.
As for the version, we need to explain that after last activity, we have updated our product and now the latest version is 1.0.22.
As you mentioned that you want to add chapter, you could click the Split chapter button, then split the chapter according to your need.
Hope this will help you. If this is not what you want, please tell us more detailed information about your demand.
Once we confirm it, we will try our best to help you.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
Best Regards!

Thanks TK, I searched everywhere it was possible to search, there is no "Split Chapter" that they say to click on. The Leawo software must be the same thing, it has the exact same problem with chapters and no help.

I was curious when I saw Vidmore DVD Creator can create video Blu-ray discs, so took a quick look. There is only one free app currently being developed [that I'm aware of] to create video Blu-ray discs -- tsMuxeR -- and it does not do menus of any sort. With tsMuxeR you import all of your content and it simply puts it in the required Blu-ray format [i.e. folder structure] creating a playlist. Unfortunately Vidmore DVD Creator has what's to me a fatal flaw -- it will not import already encoded Blu-ray video and use it as-is, but insists on re-encoding, with no real control over encoding settings. And from the projected video file size, it looks to compress a 28GB file down to somewhere around 15GB, which would only be minimally acceptable. [Yeah, 15GB is big, but not if you're looking to fill a 25 or 50GB BD disc.]
The menus on a retail video Blu-ray use Java programming, and you're not going to get that on any consumer level app -- the pro software costs thousands of dollars -- so having to use predefined menus with Vidmore DVD Creator is expected. As a matter of personal taste, I didn't really care for the relatively few choices it offers.
That said, this 64-bit Only app adds the program's folder, plus a folder in either ProgramData or Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Local, depending on if you choose all users or just the active Windows user on install. Two keys are added to the registry, one for the app & one for uninstall, plus a CLSID for registration data. If you don't get the key right away use another email address -- I had to use a 2nd address, since it never showed up with the first one.

I'm struggling with- "create DVD or Blu-ray disc/folder/ISO file from almost any video file with original quality, like MP4 to DVD..."
Can somebody smarter than me briefly explain how one compressed format (mp4) gets converted to a 2nd compressed format (mpg2/DVD) with no generational loss of quality?. What am I failing to understand?

Vidmore, thank you. I was referring to the paragraph above on this page (and on your website) where you describe your product. I'm no computer or video expert. I've burned MP4 files onto DVD discs, but simply as data files with no menus or chapters. In my admittedly limited understanding of creating a DVD that will play on a standalone DVD player with menus and chapters, it MUST be in MPEG2 format. Is that correct? If so, how does Vidmore DVD Creator handle the conversion of the MP4 to MPEG2 without re-compessing the source file to MPEG2 thereby degrading the "original quality" of the MP4?
Are you saying instead that your product will losslessly copy an AVI or MP4 source file to disc as an AVI or MP4, but with chapters and menus? That would seem to me to be the only way to burn them without re-encoding.
I need a clearer understanding of how I get an MP4 or AVI onto a DVD or BD with as you say "original quality" that "will look as good as the original video".

I successfully set up Vidmore DVD Creator & got the email for the registration code (it was in spam folder, for those looking). However, when I copy & pasted registration code (along with filling in email address in the box above that using the same email address I got code in), I got a message saying code was invalid.
After trying code again & again being invalid, I looked back in my email & noticed I was I was sent a code for a completely different program that was offered here on GOTD some time previously! Please send me the correct registration code using this email address from this message I wrote.
Thank you

Dreamy,
You don't have to put your email address in the registration box. Just leave it to the default (which is something like GAOTD). you only have to copy and paste the long registration key.
