They have left hundreds (thousands?) of us out in the cold with a lie that they would make good on the offer for any of us who had a problem; all we had to do was send them an email.

Magix lost my vote of reputation. Vegas had it from SONY but now it is not trustworthy. I did not receive any response after emailing the affiliate email. The system was down when I created an account to get the giveaway and following gun their instructions in comments here yielded no response. I already have a Magix account.
But this {Magix server overload} matter now requires people to join their "affiliate" membership.
Although entry is free.
Now why would I need to join yet another Magix "affiliate" when I already have an acoount.
I may be wrong, but this Vegas 15 giveaway is beginning to look like a classic BAIT AND SWITCH tactic.
To grow the number of "affiliates" and then for the staff to show Magix top management that they have now increased it by 3,000%. Promotions and bonus to follow.

Software is decent BUT Magix shows annoying very large ads both when starting the app and Windows even when not using the software. Installation AUTOMATICALLY installed their PC Tuner software although this was unchecked.
I previously purchased Magix Software and to this day fight with their pathetic virus type of very intrusive advertising. when considering the price of their software normally, they need to drop this pathetic ad policy.
*With regards to the software, this is a must for anyone working with videos.
*With regards to their intrusive ads and forced installation of useless software that CANNOT be uninstalled, this is a company to avoid.
