It installed fine on my system, but won't run because my CPU lacks SSE2 instructions...
By examining the files, i found one containing links to download the firmware from apple servers. I believe it uses the DFU mode for (some of) the repairs - you can do the same with just iTunes.
Maybe the program can repair some minor issues without flashing - i don't know as it just crashes here.

I bought my iPod touch 4 for half the price of this software.
Since i got it, i have bricked and repaired it dozens of times.
I'd rather buy another i-device (not that i want any more) for these money, than this software.

temp, often times a device contains data worth much more than the price of a new device. Such is the case with all my devices. I would rather recover than start all over - even if I could start over. My recovery is usually from a backup but alas I have not always been that forward thinking and have files that have not been backed up.

from what i discovered by examining this software, it would reflash the device, deleting all your data in the process.

Yet another giveaway cheat offering a giveaway license they do not sell (6 months) and pricing the giveaway product at the price they do sell a single iDevice lifetime license. Yes really apparently they don't license the windows user number or number of seats but by the number of iDevices in other words you need to buy individual licenses for each iDevice you own and want to recover apparently... I wonder how many iDevices this 6 month trial license is restricted to? I cannot test it as I do not own any apple devices.
