Thanks GOTD, I used a previous version and loved it. Able to download the sound of a video to an MP3 file.

I installed this even though one VoodooShield's engines bkav flagged it as containing W32.AIDetectVM.malware1.
I thought it was a false positive and went ahead anyway.
I then ran the program after registering then my antivirus Kaskersky flagged suspicious behaviour and automatically started Advanced Disinfecting. Nothing was found but I bottled out and uninstalled the program. The uninstall completed ok so I'm still unsure if this software is safe.

I had/have version 2.0.2 from a prior giveaway that was still activated and installed this into an adjacent uniquly named folder and it accepted the old license data so presumably is a non-expiring license. Accordingly I have not switched to the 1 year license that comes with this giveaway.
Correction: I have just checked the 2.0.2 giveaway August 17 2019 and that license was a 3 year license which I guess should last until August 2021... so maybe it would be better to apply this one year license since that should probably expire around November 2021 ... This is NOT a conventional sound-chip or sound chip driver based recording program but instead it hooks into the spawned programs sound output.

Can this capture the original audio stream without re-coding it?

Scott, no it intercepts the audio not the network stream... you can tell it to encode the intercepted audio into a lossless format like FLAC but be sure the encoded sample rate and bit depth is the same as the originally decoded audio to avoid resampling distortions.

Pass on this one... made with QT Resource Kit an uses well over 70 meg when installed. Not portable; leaves QT keys in the registry. App was developed in China and sends data to the author each time you open the application.

Kip, the UNREGISTERED Free trial version allows you to record ONE MINUTE of audio, but if you registered it with the FREE giveaway license code from the readme.txt that restriction would have been removed for a year.

I should add that it works fine on Chrome and Firefox and also on Musicbee.
It adds the tags really well.
