PC Matic flagged as malicious and blocked. Ironically, I tried to send a DOC soon after and it was blocked due to "attachment".... but I didn't put an attachment on it. C/p the info to another DOC and it went fine. Weird... or coincidence.... or,,,,,

It will not let you change the default folder!
Not much room left in my C drive... I am uninstalling before I even use it for the first time!

Johnniemongo@mail.com, Actually, you can click the "Change" button to change the default folder as you like. Just have a try!

    M. H., I see it says it is $1, but when I click on it, it just opens a video to watch. How exactly can I get this software?

DKBaard, at the bottom of the page you see a payment option frame. Inside it select "user defined amount" and specify €1 there. Put it into the cart. Probably an unrequested option appears - you have to click the remove-link. Finally, you go further down the page and select a payment option. Watch out the price isn't more than the €1,- (of course you can donate more).

    M. H., Cool, thanks. Not sure about the site, going to get a Visa gift card with a couple of bucks on it to try it out, I thought I saw something where they try to sign you up for monthly charges for one thing or another.

The recorder utility AMRecorder.exe that is included with this is incapable of recording the playing sound IF there is no hardware and driver support for recording the soundcards output. It uses old XP compatible interfaces even when it is running under WASAPI capable versions of windows such as Vista and above which could easily record any playing output regardless of sound output devices input pins.

By the way, I am an Avid and Premiere editor, so I will use it for quick split-screens, animation, and transitions which you can preview before adding to the clip. I like the fact you can download backgrounds fast and it has built-in audio tracks. You receive 25 songs. It has a nice interface.

price listed in the information panel is the undiscounted 1 month plan. The 1 year plan undiscounted price is $59.95 with the current offer price of $9.95 all completely different to the $39.95 quoted here.

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+12)

    Dear TK,
This is because we're launching a time-limited sale for TunesKit AceMovi on our official website ($4.95 for the one-month plan; $9.95 for the one-year plan. The original selling price for both is $19.95/month and $39.95/year.) The $59.95 is the original price tag for AceMovi one-year plan. Thanks for your understanding!

    Sincerely,
    Ashley from TunesKit Studio,
    Official site: https://www.tuneskit.com/

Ashley, I suggest you READ your own website page https://www.tuneskit.com/buy/video-editor-for-win.html

It clearly disputes your claim it does NOT mention $39.95 for a year but $59.95 for the undiscounted year. You are presenting TWO supposedly original prices for the year plan in your own comment! "The original selling price for both is $19.95/month and $39.95/year.) The $59.95 is the original price tag for AceMovi one-year plan."
Please make up your mind you cannot have two different ORIGINAL prices for the same product for the same period! My understanding is that you are confused either about the prices or about the language or both either way it does not bode well for our expectations of your understanding of programming!

You know when you see someone in the street and they seem familiar, but just can't put your finger on it? Starting this program is like that. I've used various video editing programs lately trying to find the right one, and this one looks like a slightly re-skinned version of another program - I just can't remember which one.
It has the standard 3 pane layout - clips on the left, preview on the right and timeline along the bottom. Frustratingly the left pane has a minimal width, so on a laptop with reduced height (768) means the preview panel is quite small.
In the timeline, there are no context menu options (when you right-click) at all, which is just nuts. The timeline has limited set of options (split, crop, add marker) which just feels 'empty'.
One frustrating thing is if you click in the timeline and find where you want to cut the video - spend a couple of minutes locating the right frame, but then notice the toolbar isn't active - you haven't selected which actual track you want to edit. Click the one you want and it moves the cursor / timeline to the start of that track, losing your position. Oh, that's annoying. Grr.
Haven't exported a video yet, but it's already annoying selecting the output path. It's not where the original source is, but in its own 'export' folder under your 'documents' folder. By default that's on my C drive, but I don't want that bloated by big videos - instead of typing or pasting the destination into a textbox, you have to click 'change' and get a folder selection box. Just let me type it. Its quicker.
Argh. Add a 'sticker' and select it, and yes, it resets the timeline cursor position again. If you've a large video, that is annoying. Grr. Losing patience with this now...

Got VSDC from here a couple years ago, it's great, the key seems to keep going through all updates so far.

Great, but this isn't VSDC or by the same company.

Reply   |   Comment by Chris  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Chris, VSDC has a very usable free edition which is more capable than this and does not watermark the output last time I looked at the free edition unlike this one which will watermark when the 1 year trial license expires.

To avoid annual tax in video editing range....

Adopt free powerful software like Shotcut. Great for end users.

Or Davinci Resolve. Free with few limitation but UHD editing included or with a buy once at 295 $ for high end work.

Reply   |   Comment by Spontz  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Shotcut is OK but buggy and does crash quite often. Certainly need a lot of patience with it.

Nice software! I am a beginner. This is the best video editor for beginners I used. It is simple to use and has a lot of interesting features. Just made my first video!

    monica, Agreed

Reply   |   Comment by donnie  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-3)

monica, beware it is quite buggy with it impossible to accurately join videos from different camera positions on a given scene using the traditional Clap on recording simultaneously from two or more camera positions and a high quality audio recorder.

On a different topic I tried dropping a video into another video track and it looked like it inserted it but on rendering it when it returned to the original video it spliced the inserted video into it lost the sound track and then lost the remainder of the video frames beyond a certain point ceased to be rendered. There is NOTHING worse for a beginner learning to do something than faulty tools that make a mess for no good reason so either the beginner gets frustrated and gives up or learns incorrect workaround techniques thinking the bugs were how video editors are supposed to operate.
