I tried to get a key, and went to my inbox to retrieve it but it was not there (not even in the spam folder) I left it a while and tried again, still nothing - so I tried again, only to be told "no more licences for my email address" I would have liked to try it as faster downloading would save me so much time. I usually only use full free programs but if there is a program that may save me time and money then I always purchase that program, pity I'm not going to find out if this was one of them.

With 1 hour to go and no response from TotalD about being unable to connect to their website to install the program then it looks like I won't be trying this program. I suspect others are also having this problem.

I have been monitoring these comments now since the giveaway offer went live. So far, the only participation I see from TotalD pertains to the license by "e-mailing contact@totald.com" but no answer still on questions in comment #2, and there has been no explanation regarding the suspicious install technique mentioned in comment #5. As potential users of your software, we would like to know that you can at least get more involved in the discussions.

One question I have is, "How is this program different from your Air Explorer product?" The reason I ask is because the properties of this setup file indicate that it is "Air Explorer." If this is a program that its features exist in Air Explorer or is some derivative of Air Explorer, then I would like to know the connection. I might be interested in your other products, but first, you will have to convince me that as a potential customer, I will be able to get answers should I ever need them.

I had no issue, works with direct links so far, i am happy, key was provided on page , and was also emailed to me

The pro is that it is fast when downloading.

When pasting in URL's it almost always duplicates the entry.

Found that there were a whole host of websites that are not supported.

The interface is a little on the clunky side and not immediately intuitive.

Didn't test the torrent option as I already have one of the defacto pieces of software for this.

I did try to contact "contact@totald.org" as giveawayoftheday suggested but all I got was a survey about their website, and to top it off I'm missing Star Trek because of this!

Got the key ok in my junk mail, when I put the key in it rejected

Every time I click on that box "I'm not a robot" I feel like I'm lying to myself.

TotalD is very Lightweight but I had a very positive experience for the last few years with Moo0 Video Downloader that is also very Lightweight, simple to use, intuitive clipboard and many more details, one most important among them, the price: it's for FREE.

seems all my gmail accounts had no pass for this in all folders. so i tried yahoo, and i got pass in less than 30 seconds! try another email besides gmail. only tried yahoo, so im sure that one goes through. hope this helps

Yeah, they misspelled "alowed", strike two.

So I changed to a non-free email, and or changed my location ( free BrowserSec in Google Chrome ), and the free licenses are pouring in to my inbox for me now -- workaround required, strike three.

It is a small file that phones home for the latest version, and then installs a different program from crypticly named temporary directories, so I had to pause and find the different installation file, and scan it with VirusTotal, because scanning the GOTD-delivered file is NOT the file that will do the installation -- I do not like programs that deny me immediate access to observable installation files that I can directly control, strike four.

It asks to be my default for torrents BEFORE offering to VPN / Proxy ... strike five.

I entered the license and it's taking forever to activate, "... Activating License, Please Wait ..." -- if it ever works, will their managed downloads also take forever? -- strike six.

There is no way from within the program to stop the endless "... Activating License, Please Wait ..." screen, no [ Exit ] or [ Cancel Activation ] offering, so I killed the program via external means, strike seven.

I try again, and the program loads off screen ... searching ... searching ... there it is off the lower right edge, it cannot find my screen, so I drag it into view, strike eight.

I enter another license that they sent me, and got the same endless "... Activating License, Please Wait ...", never any response, so I killed the program using external means once again, strike nine.

So I re-load it a 3rd time, and inspect the [ Options ] before trying to register the serial number ... and there is NO VPN / PROXY setting whatsoever, anywhere, nada, zilch, nothing, no-way, strike ten.

Uninstalled, no batter -- TotalD is a complete and total waste of time.

I have installed the software and visited the URL located inside the readme.txt yet haven't received any license key to my email within the minute. GotD, you must do something as I wanna try this app out.
