Doesn't remove copywrite protection. Any software that allows you to do usually includes software to make a copy. This program offers more features, but you still have to remove the copywrite protection.

DVDs are disappearing generally...
Might be useful for someone to backup old collection.
Nevertheless, its quite strange the annual limit, this is not security soft that needs updates, it is older technology, thus it seems more of a profit policy or it is a 1 year "trial" so that you choose to buy afterwards this one or another.
