Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise.
TightProjector 2.1.3 was available as a giveaway on August 3, 2017!
TightProjector, a program that broadcasts the screen of a computer to several other computers connected into a network.
The software has a lot of new features to meet customers’ requirements which make it a useful instrument for different spheres requiring simultaneous information broadcasting on several screens: from education (explaining material to students from a lecturer’s computer) to transport (using airport indicator boards) and business (performing multimedia presentations on negotiations or meetings).
A broad range of network connection settings allows performance of several independent units of TightProjector within one local area network. One of enhancements is the multimonitor configuration which supports up to 4 monitors. Users can view the same screencast in different Remote Desktop sessions running on the same computer.

TightProjectorPro – new opportunities for broadcasting images and sound. With the new ability to broadcast audio lecturer may comment on the presentation in real time. And any broadcast session may be stored in a file and later reproduced without any effort. Advanced bandwidth control allows the program to run on the slow wi-fi channels.
TightInformer is a tool to send simple text messages over the network and to display them on recipient’s computer as a ticker. In a bigger company network messaging is veins the workflow runs through. Indeed, in many cases network messages are faster than calling a phone and are more convenient too. Also, administration can broadcast messages to all employees at once greatly increasing productivity and inter-division operation efficiency. TightInformer instantly sends text messages across network recipients, but unlike most of typical messaging software it displays messages as a news ticker. So a user sees not just a notification of an upcoming message, but the message itself. Chances the information passes unheeded are minimal with a ticker.
Problems Found:
I was going to try an XP to Win7 test. On XP, I get:
X:\Program Files\TightProjector\tightinformer.exe is not a Win32 application.
and tightrcv.exe causes the default Windows Firewall to display an alert.
Anyone else?

Gary, I get that too, sometimes.
After a restart it did work.
Also I did get some virus warning from the downloads from the site.
Also the download from GOTD did get one warning from virustotal.com

Ootje,
Thanks for the response. When I get errors like that, I always do a restart, and I still had the error after a restart. I also tried today (a day later), and I get the same thing.
If I start it from the installed to folder, I get the dialog that contains the program file name (
X:\Program Files\TightProjector\tightinformer.exe) but if I start from the Start Menu X, I get (null) is not a valid Win32 application. The regular Start Menu is the same as running from the installed directory.

Windows 7 32-bit.
Registration failed (several times), with the error message "Either the registration code is not valid ... etc. etc.".
I am absolutely certain that I copied and pasted the registration code from the Readme.txt file without any mistake
Can you provide me with a working registration code?

I got exactly the same as William.
Hugely disappointing that they can't get the basics right even with that.
No vendor replying to our questions is not good either.
Uninstalled.

Did anyone get this software working?
I did install it on a WinXP and a Win10.
The UDP are the same.
And then: nothing.
Also the second time.

BTW, I could access the shared folder on the WinXP machine.

Really neat and easy setup. Installed the software on two computers (desktop Lan connection and a laptop wireless connection). Ran the TightProjector on one, ran TightReceiver on the second and pressed start, instantly worked with no setup.

Well after installing I don't think it's so cool. One must install on other devices for them to 'see' anything. The TightInformer part won't register with the same key I got in the zip file. The TightReceiver went crazy with so many windows I had to kill it, but I got no message it was not registered. I can't really test it without having another PC. It's not compatible with mobile devices or any casting devices. I'm going to uninstall it. Also UDP protocol is new to me and according to most Google results unreliable. Bleh

The description clearly says "connected to the same network." Therefore, all devices on say your home network, or a school will see what is on the primary device. Think instructor/ teacher or a group working on a project. Very cool program IMO.

I hope TightProject people are monitoring this forum and answering questions.
My question: At home, can I watch on my computer, the screen of another computer?

drvajra, Both PC's need to be connected to the same network. Like a classroom, or members of your family.

I went to the site but I didn't find any info on the question of whether this program (either version) can broadcast text that can be copied (as text, not screengrabs) to recipient computers.
If so, this might be a quick way to transfer small amounts of info from 1 to other computers without having to transfer files through the network.
Does anyone have any info about this capability?

The website of the developer says:
There are three programs in the distribution:
* TightProjector sends the screen contents to the network;
* TightInformer sends the text information from a file to the network as a news ticker;
* TightReceiver shows the data received from TightProjector.
Are all three of these programs included in the giveaway? If so, must the tightreceiver be installed on all receiving computers before the end of the giveaway day?

The software have to install in all pc (server and client)?

Asvt, It looks to me that the receiving computers will need the receiver component, which is part of this program.

Can it broadcast a pc screen to a tv via DLNA?

ew, The program appears to be running in the background. I'm not finding a dashboard or anything like that. And if there is no way for the tv to install the receiving component, I think it won't work.
