Installation and registration worked perfectly but I had an unexpected problem when using CrazyTalk. Whenever I clicked the 'Create New Actor' button to load a new face, it crashed the program.

I thought at first it was because I'd blocked internet access but it still crashed even with internet access. The solution was in Reallusion's own FAQs. Absurd as it sounds, if you have a TV tuner card installed, 'Create New Actor' causes the crash!

There is a Pinnacle DV/AV video capture card installed in my Windows 7 computer. Disabled it through Control Panel / Device Manager and, sure enough, it works without crashing now.

'Create New Actor' allows you to use a webcam to take a photo but it apparently won't let you use a camera attached to a video capture card to do it. Hope this tip prevents someone else's frustration with the program.

Can't get an activation email for this program and so is worthless. Signed up several times but never receive an activation

The same version was given in 2016, I'll pass. It's the one of not so many true giveaways, if you have it downloaded and got the activation key, you can activate it anytime, on any computer you want.

This is a pathetic application! Follow the directions, and open the web site and register. Get the email, click the link. so far ok.

Site says to enter the serial number from the application, fine, run the installer and get NO SERIAL number, the installer wants a serial number from the site.

Seriously? Did anyone at GOTD take the time to actually test this before posting? The is a rather shady activity, this company collected how many email addresses through this offer, gave nothing and GOTD supported it. Very questionable business practices from both companies.

This company had better not contact me with anything other then a working installation and code.

Worked fine for me on win10/64 with Edge. The login now is on the first colour page, (with the professor's face) for the serial number --- this is confusing, as there is also a login now at the top of other pages.

Installed fine. Registered, then opened the link in the ReadMe.txt and got the Serial Number and bonus links for bonus packs. Looks like it will be fun to use.

I too had the problem until.....
I opened another window and logged into my reallusion account, ticking remember me. Then went back to the link, clicked it and it opened straight away.

can't get the serial number. I created an account, but never received the serial number to register the product. Looks like it might be a neat program but...

Won't install - tried DLing from the GOTD link, and the DL mirror link in the email sent by Reallusion with the S/N - all I get is a pair of install screens ( one of them messed up with a slice of my desktop ) and the install hangs. I'm using Win10 Pro, latest updates... disappointing, as I used CrazyTalk Standard from last year's GOTD until my PC went under and had to be reformatted( darn backups... ).

I just tried to get my free SN but I get a message that the "Free period is over" REALLY?? How the hell is that real? It's 6:30 p, MST - got home from work and thought this would be fun to try. Apparently THEY don't want to play by the rules. Your site says I have 7 hours left - they say NO!!!

Either the software is free for the day or it is not.
I was able to create an account by going directly to the website - but EVEN that did not allow me to get the product SN - still get the message that the time period has expired. What is going on GOTD? They will not provide a SN so those of us following your rules do not get one.

When trying that link I am confronted with a statement requiring me to login, which I can't do even going through the main page. I when through the entire process on a different browser and achieved the same results.

Went all over Site and where to Download bonus pack ?

Attempted install on win 10 x64. The program terminates installation as it thinks i am running a virtual machine which is not supported. Any fixes for this?

Went to login link after I filled information to start a new account. Typed in P/W and clicked to join. Was sent confirmation link and I clicked and it sent to the login page. I put my email address in (was already there) and typed in my password. When I tried to login it showed me this error message "Login Failed! Please make sure you enter your email address and password correctly." I tried several times and then clicked forgot password. I then put in my password twice (it was accepted) and clicked and went back to login page. I went through the same procedure and It still showed that my password was not accepted. Please help solve this problem. Yes, I was careful when I typed in my password.

I downloaded and installed CrazyTalk (and the bonus items) the last time it was offered here, and its one of my favorite programs (along with CrazyTalk Animator, which was also made available here).

While there's a bit of a learning curve involved this software is a real hoot once you figure out how to use it. It's especially fun to use portrait photos of friends and family, and then add a pre-recorded soundtrack to the project, resulting in the subject saying things that one wouldn't normally expect them to say.

I really enjoy using photos of "real" people. The resulting animation is remarkably accurate as far as mouth moavement goes, but some of the "emotion" effects can result in some downright creepy (and often comical) distortions of the subject's face in the output video.

I highly recommend getting this software if you want to create some interesting memes and/or short videos to post on social media or use as website content. It's tons of fun, and who knows - you might actually be able to create something that someone would actually pay you for!

I have Windows 10, Creators update and I get message that CrazyTalk does not support Virtual Machine Installation.

I always casually enjoyed Real Illusion products and Crazy Talk in particular. Unfortunately I already have this Crazy Talk 7.32 Standard. So, I'll be looking forward for the GAOTD CrazyTalk 8 release.

Just informational: This is not the newest version. This is the standard version and is also the previous major revision. 7.32 instead of 8.1, the current version.

CrazyTalk and CrazyTalk Animator are two different programs by Reallusion. CrazyTalk produces 3D animated and talking heads while CrazyTalk Animator produces 2D animated and talking characters (or heads) moving in 3D.
